Ouch, my Single X1950XTX did 8,000 in 3D06.

X1950 Xfire did ~15.4K 3d05 with driver defaults and a 2.4ghz E6600.

Pulls ~10k in 06 easily with texture detail and everything on max detail @ 3.4ghz.

Yea, I'm not going with a msi. BFG or EVGA for me.

I wonder how many they have in stock as they are still listed to Buy Now. I bet they have an order list of like 1000 people waiting on these, lol. I bet most are greeted with back order status on Mon. Thats what I like about Newegg, if it's in stock you buy and get the item, no question. With Ewiz, one has no idea if in fact the item is in stock or not. Another reason I will pass..

Dang it! I saw the thread in the Deal section posted by Dumo and now I come to find everyone else is all over the Ewiz deal! Ewiz does not carry a "live" inventory database so they are probably way oversold of their initial shipment. Is it too much to ask the mods to keep the deals in the deal section even when it is newsworthy? Or at least until I have my order in. ;) If I'm not gaming on it by this time next week, I'm going to be a little bitter. :(

No they don't, not over the weekend. I can tell you they are way oversold at this point. I had a chance to get one FRI (would have been one of the first in line) night but passed when I saw they were MSI. I hope I can get a BFG off the Egg Weds, otherwise I will be very upset I didn't go with this deal.

I think the mods are doing the right thing since these cards are still under NDA and are not supposed to be for sale anyway;)

All brands of G80 are on the same Nvidia reference card. Only driver cd or bios a little different.

Yep, from what I have read ALL of the cards are made by ASUS.

So other than EVGA's great return policy what's the difference?

from evga would be pretty damn craaaaaazy.

All partners were told by NVidia that NO overclocking is allowed on the 8800's. As in, you won't see a single pre-overclocked part on the shelves.

In 05 the GTX pulls close to 20k with a decently clocked conroe. This is with the cpu bottleneck hitting game test 1 at 84-85fps IIRC.

What kind of processor and at what clock speeds... You must remember, about 1/3rd of your 06 score is CPU, and 13k in 06 was done with a kentsfield(06's cpu test is majorly multithreaded). With a conroe in 06 it pulls about 11.5k with the conroe at 3.8ghz.

CPU means a lot in 06. Plain and simple....

The cards that will be available at launch are Version 1.0 cards.
they are all made by ASUS so will be 100% the same.
The only diffrences will be the box, sticker on the cooler and maybe Bios (alot of partners will use the reference bios). Some partners will maybe put on another cooler but thats it.

A few months after launch Nvidia will allow partners ot make the cards them selves.

Well not necessarily made my Asus, but they all use the nvidia reference design. A pretty sticker and maybe a tweaked bios and branded drivers are the only thing that is different between cards. Try telling that to a big MSI fan ;)

I was very tempted to snag one up (before this thread was posted lol), but decided i'd hold onto my $625.

My 8800GTX for 630EUR is in my shop in Europe, waiting for end of NDA. My retailer have 13 of GTX and 3 GTS. Lot of shop around the world have lot of 8800, waiting for 8.11.
