Wow. Kind of unique. Nice design but I'm guessing you would need a pretty decent pump for that.
Is there really that huge of a difference between T and reservoir?

So (for instance) on one side of divider would be 1x side fitting and the base fitting. On the other side of divider would be remaining side fitting... first way that springs to mind.
I've simply gone for the option that provides the most useable configurations from the res so that it appeals / is useable in the majority of setups...

With the one Marci show, there's about 3-4 diferent configuration possible. Which is nice since the majority of res out there only have 1-2 configuration.
Any 2 or more you want of the 4 available. Can use as many or as few fittings as you like. Entirely up to the person fitting it in their loop and how they want it setup. There is no rule that says a reservoir should only have 2 connections.
EG: Position res on case panel above DDC Ultra. Go from base fitting straight down to DDC Inlet. Come back into res on one of the 2 side inlets. From the top fitting, run a line up to roof of case to a delrin fillport or similar for convenience of filling.

Seen your post over at Bit-Tech forums - disagree - top inlet necessary as a filling point... better to keep imo and leave it to customer whether to use as fillpoint and plug, or run up to fillport or similar... or even another res... meaning yours can be used for aesthetic purposes to supplement a current system...
OR...
Remove the top fitting completely for a basic model. Make the base POM available for purchase separately for those that want ultra-flexibility... ie: 3 possible fitting points at either/both end(s) of the reservoir - remove "standard" (no-fitting) top and replace with a bought-separately 2nd base. (The additional holes could also be used to mount submersible temp-probes etc).
And then do as we did with the Thermotube - make it available in varying lengths from 3" upto 10" or similar...
As tube to POM is threaded rather than chemical joint, make tubes available separately too for customers who for instance purchased a tall res initially, but then move to smaller case and want to shrink the res and vice versa.
Marci I dont understand why you need a seperator for if you already got an intake tube going from the top? I can see it for the 2 sides port if you planning to use just that.

Because some customers may choose not to use top fitting as intake.
It's all about giving the end-user a CHOICE, flexible enough to match any case / routing configuration that user may have... without imposing rules of "you must use this as inlet and this as outlet".
Only pair not to be used simultaneously would be the base fitting with the side fitting which shares the same half of the base - air'd just get sucked thru rather than bleeding / gathering.
Some users may choose to lie the tube down in base of case for instance, and use top fitting as inlet, base fitting as outlet, and one of the side fittings to run up to either a secondary reservoir or fillport.
Either way, if two fittings are used, there MUST be a 3rd point thru which the end-user can actually fill the reservoir with water.
If base fitting isn't used when piped into system, this then makes a superb drain point...
LOTS of options depending how/where the customer wants to mount the res.
This would work perfectly in my build that I'm planning for the summer. If you build it, I will buy.
Alright, I'm ready to buy that thing! How many weeks to months before we can possibly get one? You'll have standard G1/4 plugs to cover the unwanted holes?

I think that the top fill-port fitting adds a great deal of flexibility to the res and I for one would order it that way. I also like the idea of the different sizes so every case could use the res.Quote:

I still think the res is too long (tall)... Does it need to be that big? I would shorten it by about a third to make it easier to fit in places.
Alternatively, you may be able to offer two body lengths... a short one and a longer one?
Well that could be fiixed if it comes in different sizes, like on that length and one shorter and one longer!

I just got back from the hardware I bought a big brass T fitting, 2# 1/2 Id barbs that the tygon will barely strech over. 2# adapters so the barbs would fit into the T. And a 14"L 3/4" id brass pipe. This should be easier for bleedin' the air outta' my lines. And act as a res of sorts. Hopefully it won't hurt my temps. Though it might not be big enough for the air to give a chance to rise up. Oh well well see.
Of course there will be different sizes of reservoir...
