To bad it isn't even near stable at those speeds.
Also, the memset timing trick doesn't seem to work with this bios, it gives best results at spd timings.
and i have to do a cmos reset when i try cas 4 timings, the board just hangs before post!
K 1407 Bios allowed me to break again the 400Mhz barrier up to 445Mhz now, Multiplier downwards works fine 2. I downgraded to 1305 again after 1405 release.
Benching the rig now at 8 X 400 1.420 volts. Running 24/7 at 7 X 400. Thing is if I use a lower multiplier most of my hardware detections programs ( everest home, coretemp) etc detect my CPU speed and ram speed wrong
CPU-Z detects the 7 X 400 the other detect 7 x 457 really weird. But it's Orthos stable at the moment at 8 X 400.
Anyone else having this software bug ? The added cooling did miracles ( north - and southbridge helped a lot when using this board a recommendation to all users

@ Leeghoofd
That is because your North Bridge Core Clock (NBCC) is maxing out. Default is as you know 266 MHz. When you use the 7X multi the math is like this :
8/7*400 = 457,142 MHz NBCC clock.
But when you use the default multi (8X) then the NBCC = the FSB.
You are most welcome... and most humble too. Hope you get the right mobo for testing, maybe try the P5B Deluxe for the high FSBs.Quote:

can you show a pic of the watercooling you put on the NB.Quote:
