Most info on whats shipping has been in this thread. I ordered from egg Tuesday, received a week 26. They then went back out of stock. Mine shipped from the TN warehouse. Another person in that thread ordered near the time I did, received week 27 that shipped from CA warehouse. Kinda hard to say with egg, but they do tell you what warehouse its shipping from while your in the process of making your order.

Can someone with a week 27 try 430 x 9 with 1.58v. I think the newer batch uses less power and should have a lot of potential. I finnally max my week 24 with 433 x 9 @ 3.9 but it needed 1.65v :(

My water cooling isn't as good as yours, & my week 24 suxed but I will be fully testing a week 27 after I find the max of the week 26. If you can wait that long :rolleyes:

I have a problem guys, I got my E6600 from New Egg yesterday BUT i ordered it on 8/29/06, I tought I would get the new stock they got but to my surprise I received a Week 24 Chip.. im so dissapointed :( . Do you guys know if I can exchange it with them or refund it? I still havent even opened the box. I dont overcloak but I heard the week 27 was better even at stock.

You should order one from tankguys, they have week 26's instock and mine is doing quite well. I would suggest selling the cpu on ebay or a forum. Its not opened so you could get close to $350 for it but not likely unless you sell worldwide. You could plead with the customer service rep, honestly explain your desire and ask for an exchange. They probably won't guarantee anything but you can tell them you're willing to chance it. Good Luck:)

Brahmzy,

If you put your chip in the P5B yet can you try that bios that allows you to change Multipliers & see if you can go up as well as down. I remember the review over @ Anandtech stating it will unlock certain chips upwards. What if these week 27 chips are clocking well because they were binned for X6800's, but were used as E6600's due to high Demand for them an not X6800's. AMD did that would be nice if Intel did too.:D

The problem with unlocked upwards multipliers is that everything the same, a lower multi and a higher FSB will just be faster, unless you are running into a FSB wall on phase, a multi of 9 or 10 usually is fine.

Too late. I tried my week 24 in the P5B and it took slightly MORE VCore to be stable than in my P5W DH. While the P5B D seems to be a great board, and is...I'm keeping my P5W. After some Super Pi runs, the P5W beat it out only slightly, but beat it nonetheless. IN MY EXPERIENCE, the P5B D just didn't seem to be quite as stable as the P5W. So I built my Dad a kickarse OC'd E6600 "24", P5B D system. I just delivered it to him. He about crapped his drawers when he saw how fast it was. :)

Sorry I didn't do too much comparison testing - I should have. I let the "crew" down, haha. However, I may be convincing my wife she needs to upgrade her A64 box to an E6600 box. I'd definitely by another P5B D.

Does any one have any guessed which week I will get on my E6400 from the Egg, I bought it 8/28/06 and it hasnt came just yet, its comming from there CA warehouse. I will post up what I get when I get it.

Good luck man! Hope it's a week 27. MWave does not BS with their shipping. If you order in the morning, it ships out that afternoon with a tracking number. Granted I paid about $20 more, but it's worth it when you're friggin' dyin' for the right week at the right time, hehe. :)

a convincing sob story, like your 12 year old son ordered it on your credit card without your knowledge. If you don't open it, they will take it back.

I read your week23 > week 27 saga with interest cause like you,
I felt the disappointment of getting a dud E6600. So I considered my
two bad options:

1. Order a week 27 which means ultimately paying $750 for silicon that others got for $375, or
2. Live with an underperforming E6600.

Whereas you choose the former, I choose the later cause paying double would take all the fun out of the adventure of OCing.
The lesson to be learned here is don't be an early adopter. Let others figure
out which week is the "good" batch and get it right...the first time.

Oh sure, I can just see the listing:

"I'm selling my recently acquired E6600 because after testing it, I decided I didn't like it. But it isn't a dud, honest!"

You can't sell a used C2D on Ebay, especially a retail box that is no longer sealed.

I Did, iin fact I sold the week 26 in my sig as well. Paid $369 for both on Newegg, sold em for $350:) showed results of poor clocking week 24 didn't give any results of the week 26.
