Finally got around to installing it in Prommie. Right now I'm at 2606GHZ....200fsb x 13 at 1.6 volts vcore. I'm going to stop here for a day and then try to get some more out of it.... seems like a good chip:DQuote:

TheDude, sounds good so far! I would think you ought to be able to get at least another 200 mhz out of it with some higher voltage. Is 2606 the limit with 1.6, or did you just picka nice round number to stop at? :DQuote:

What one did you get from excaliber? Seems like it still has some left in it! Can't wait to see what the max you can get out of it is... :D
This is the chip I got from Excaliber and I just stopped there to see if it's stable. I ran some folding and it (folding) crashed with an unstable message so I upped voltage to 1.65 (I think) and now it folds...so gonna try upping FSB 1 point at a time and see how high it goes, increasing vcore as needed. keep your fingers crossed!:D
So, Dude, what stepping/code is your 1700+ ?
Is it DLT3C 0310WPMW ?
And if so, what's the rest of the code(the long one after the AXDA1700DLT3C) ?
Sorry..I didn't right it down. Next time I break down the prommie, I will get it:mad: And yes it is the DLT3C 0310WPMWQuote:

That's why I always use the digital camera to snap a few pics before I put in a new CPU...otherwise, I'd never remember to write it down (or know where to find it later). :DQuote:

Here's the one I received today from Excalibur as well. No phase change or pelt cooling. This is max stable @ stock volts.
AXDA1700DLT3C
JIUHB0310 WPMW
939225721176
Will return with some 1.6v. It appears to be at least as good as my other 2500mhz 1700+
Thedude, I just ordered one from excaliber like you... hopefully it's good and will play nice with the prommy :D
Good idea! here I sit with a digital cam right next to me too! DUHQuote:

BTW: at 2660 now:D
bigdawginva, yours does better than mine, which at 1.48V will only do about 2033MHz on my §§§§ty 8RDA+.
But then again the board isn't great either, so this could be the reason(had one 2100+ that barely did 2350MHz at 1.85V on my 8RDA+ and on a friend's board, 8RDA+ as well, it did 11x211MHz at 1.725V, go figure).
I'll save the 56kers with more pics.
2236 @ 1.6v
2429 @ 1.85v
This one appears a bit better than my other 2500mhz 1700+ but not by much. One should rarely compain about a gig overclock for a $70 chip. At least I can put one of them up for sale as a bundle with the KD7-E and Corsair XMS.
LOL, that's a bundle I would be interested in buying, except right now I am heading for the P4 arena because of the lousy chipsets for socketA :(
Anyway, nice OC you got there, I still didn't test my 1700+ to it's limits, only 2250MHz at 1.60V so far.
Hey guys,
I'm at 2714! Looks like I still have some room! I'm a happy camper!

Not bad for a $70 chip eh, that's how much yours was right? I hope mine will do that also...great OC :D
Yeah $72 at Excaliber...be nice to get a 100% OC..never done that before!:DQuote:

Kick-a!!! What voltage are you at now?Quote:

Well...now I'm at 2801, but I had to go all the way to 2.1 vcore to make it stable. I don't think I have a lot left, but thats a 100% OC my 1st one! I'm happy with it!:DQuote:

Yeah, sounds like you've about hit the top end. You're lucky the thing will even take that much voltage....alot of DLT3Cs won't.Quote:

Once again, congrats, I can only imagine (since I've never done it) that the 100% OC must feel really great!
Indeed it does! It's a huge milestone for me after watching others do it and never being able to reach it myself. I'm very happy!:D :D :D But that's all she got! It will boot windows but then BSOD and I don't dare give it any more volts, doubt that would help anyway. Hey..my ram timings are still 5,2,2,2.0Quote:

Not quite 100% m8 - but damned close :). XP1700 = 1466mhz. 1466mhz x 2 = 2933mhz.
Nice OC anyway :).
PiLsY.
hey do you have any trouble booting at 2.1 volts? in my 8rda+ my 1700+ at 2.77 will not boot with a vcore of over 1.8... ill have to hold the insert.. let her run for a while then reboot and up vcore... kinda annoying.. goes to straight FF when i say it wont boootQuote:

I'm glad someone else posted that. I had decided not to put a wet hose on the party.Quote:

Still nice O/C on a $72 chip.
Reinforces the notion that getting a good CPU is always luck of the draw. My 1700+ Excalibur DLT3C 0310 arrived two days later and probably won't do 2800mhz. But, perhaps if I'd breakdown and buy a phase change unit, who knows.
anyone want a 0302 XPCW "9"??
hehe...
must get 0310 XPMW.......
