Hi, yup, i use the same test leads for vmods :toast: .
But there are many different types and sizes, in fact Fluke has a great variety, mini, micro, suregrip (just like clips, as in the uclajd's pic, AC280 i think), i use TL960 ;)

Yeah, those microhooks are sweet. They can hook right into the little leads and are very secure.

can you please explain the mods without soldering..........that would be the best option i reckon.....and vdimm and vmch are the important ones here :D

The 965 chipset is not good for running 32M. A 975X board would be well under 13 mins.

Well, Coolaler would be the guy to ask, since I have never even touched a P5B. But he already posted most of what you need to know. The first two seem like the easiest mods of all time, since both can be hooked by clips. The one thing you need to know is where on the mobo is Coolaler doing his voltage measurements (edit: Coolaler, are you adjusting the pots with system on or off? My experience is that you do it off).

As for the no-solder issue, I guess you could use some conductive epoxy to secure the wires to the leads on the pot (see red circle on Coolaler's vdimm pic). But why not buy a soldering gun and practice a little? Pots are like $1 each, so not a lot of risk.

Also, get some silicone sealant to hold the pots to the mobo and avoid shorts, which can ruin your whole day/mobo. :eek:

Yup mine here next Wednesday. I found it cheapest @ Scan, so ordered my Raptor and Seagate from there as well, along with some fans.

Just hope my MOBO is a decent one!
