I don't think 965 is faster than 975x. 965 always use high memory fsb, so it seems faster. If 965 use the same fsb and memory fsb, 975x would be faster than 965.

P5B Deluxe memory 4:5 has some problems, but WS Pro never has this problems.

And P5B-D use E6600~X6800 is not stable than 975x. But E6300 E6400 use P5B-D oc to FSB 500 memory 1:1 is so stable. That is why I use 975x test E6600~X6800.

So I recommend E6300 E6400 choose P5B-D and E6600~X6800 choose 975x mobo.

coolaler has both X6800 and E6600 stable past 530MHz FSB on P5B Deluxe :confused: many users are clocking conroe and having very strong results unlike DS3 with conroe.........

i can understand if WS is just a more stable board above all boards but don't know if its fair to say 975X vs 965 in that particular comparison alone

You only see 32M or 1M, but you never see Prime 95 7/24. P5B-D is easy to run 32M or 1M for E6600~X6800 , but prime 95 is not.

WS can use CF or PCI-X. Some people still need that, so it still has market.

I will test ASUS New 965 mobo P5B-E next week. P5B-E price is about 110~130 USD. Maybe it will have big market if it can be easy overclock high fsb.

oh i agree with you completely on WS Pro >>> it's the best there is

i'm just letting you know that this particular 965 motherboard is pretty with conroe as well in light of comments made about conroe/allendale overclocks and daily usage

coolaler did prime at 540MHz FSB for a brief time but i can understand if it won't last long at 540 as chipset must be screaming hot

I compare with your E6400 417*8. The same speed, FSB and memory fsb. I never tweak any memory. I just set on the bios.

You can see this speed. What is different?

My WS Pro is in my case, so I use another 975x to compare with your E6400 Super Pi.

yeah 1 minute difference in dual really is way too much.........i've gotta do some testing on the P5B Deluxe to see whether dual PI on deluxe is any different

afudos.exe from a floppy or cd boot disk.

afudos /ifilename /n /pbnc

make sure the "i" before the file name.

Do you think the P5W64 PRO will match the fsb of P5WDG2 PRO?

Some people are thinking P5W64 may not be as stable because of no 8 pin power, but atm only you know the truth..

It has 8 pin power:

P5W64 is the same for WS Pro FSB and 8 pin power, only different PCI-X and PCI-E.

I just got the P5WDG2 WS Professional. I have 2 XFX 7900GTX's and when I install the driver here, and select to turn on SLI, after it reboots, Windows doesn't show any image, my monitor goes black as if there was no source at all to it. I am using a flexible SLI bridge Ranger gave me from his P5WD2 Premium.(Might have been a P5WD2-E(975X))
