Update: 535 FSB on Gigabyte DS3.

Sure nice, Intel has plenty of reserve left. Any chip could be XE cpu, no probz getting that speed at default volts :)

I am currently testing 7x472 = 3.3 for 24/7 stability and it seems fine so far

Kunaak, did you use the vdroop mod too? If so how much of a difference did it make to your overclocks?

I still haven't had much luck finding a good lead on the Vdroop mod, so I still havent been able to do that.

booted into windows at 470 FSB. used Easytune5 to get up to 533.
can boot up into windows at 480 about half the time. 470 about 95% of the time. will not boot past 490 regaurdless of voltage or ram used.

there is a hardwall at 533.
getting to 533 is rather easy, but right after it, the board just goes nuts.
even 1-2 more FSB and the board just starts acting crazy... like the screen will go black, then turn back on, or it freezes... then goes again, or the mouse goes away, then comes back...

Hardware used.

OCZ 600 watt powerstream.
X1900XTX.
1 gig of Corsair 5400UL V1.2.
Sumbeam Silent Whisper heatsink.
Swiftech MCX159R for chipset.
120mm enermax fan over the ram.

not intended to be shown as stable, just the max I could do :D

Is that the BIOS Voltage, e.g. Vmch not working!? I'm using DS4, adding any Vmch(+0.2,+0.3,+0.35....., I didn't get higher FSB.

why you gotta live so far north i need mine modded.
so how did your north bridge temps react to the extra voltages ?
along with other parts of the board.
same for vdimm increase ?

TINTIN, the MCH voltages work just fine for my board.
after adjusting my VR, I have about a .3 offset, for 1.45 volts to 1.75 volts max. to adjust the voltages I just use bios + the offset.

set 1.45 volts, + the .3 offset and get 1.75 volts max.

this board has a OVP at 1.76 volts or real close, so I am definatly pushing my luck when maxing out the voltage.
pass the OVP limit, and the board will fail to post, no matter what.
you have to get below the OVP limit to make the board post again... so adjusting the VR to get lower then 1.75 volts is what it takes to get it to post again when you go too far.

What Heatsink am I using?

Thermalrigh SI-128 + 120mm Adjustable Enermax fan (nothing like a tornado fan)
