AW9D-Max should add 8pin atx power but not a 4pin :(
I used to heart Abit... they went downhill though... :(
Long live the BH6 and BX6.
Spot on, the best board I ever used, although my epox 9npa is making a play for my #1 slotQuote:

Review of the Abit AB9 Pro
The moment I heard "uGuru hardware" I was out. To puke.
"uGuru" in practice in the past meant specialially designed chips on the board for no good reason that they then don't document so that you can only use them from some of their toy Windose utilities, not even from standard Windows utilities. In the past they did goofs like connecting all temperature sensors to their "uGuru" chips, making the board pretty much useless for professional use.
369 max FSB.Quote:

Matches the DFI offering almost by the MHz.

Most Heatpipe on Motherboard are cheap and don't use wick. They aren't working upside down. They are only there to give a false feeling of hi-end. Most of the time, a passive cooling will work as good. (but hey, it give the option to ask more money for the board since it's a "great" feature..)Quote:

There are plenty of people here on the board hitting 450MHz+ FSB and i think the Abit AB9 Pro will be one of them doing it as soon as more people get the board. Anandtech was probably limited by the settings they were using in the BIOS or the multipliers of these Conroe processors. People are having trouble getting over 400MHz FSB with the E6600/E6700 multipliers. We may need some form of enhanced cooling above stock for the Northbridge though when trying to hit 450MHz+.Quote:

Yea, if Abit really wants a Big Slice of the Conroe board sells they need to release there updated bios before Aug 7. A lot of people are waiting to see what this baby can do, me included. This is the only reason i haven't put my order in for a DS3 yet the modding community for Abit is all about the :fact: .
I cant wait.Quote:
