Thanks for the confirmation of this problem Icer. I did notice that in the Bios under the profile manager it said something about NTFS not being supported! Don't know if this is somehow related.
NTFS not supported? Don't most people use that anymore since XP came out?
Seems like an oversight to me.
Does anyone know how to force AFUDOS to flash to an older Bios? I've tried the /n and the /pbnc switches but AFUDOS won't let me revert back to Bios 0701! I've used the following syntax: afudos /iP5WDH701.ROM /n /pbnc
Of course, I typed the above at a DOS prompt after booting PC-DOS from a floppy. Any suggestions?
I have 701 and it says the same thing. And yeah, weird... I realized at the last minute that there was nothing to be pissed about since my USB drive is FAT anyway. But it sucks for those using external(/internal?) HDDs for the BIOS file.Quote:

EDIT I just realized I typed NTFS above. I fixed it. That might be the confusion.
I figured this one out. You have to use an older version of AFUDOS in order for it to allow flashing to an older Bios. I flashed back to 0701 using v.2.00 of AFUDOS which I got from the ASUS ftp site. With Bios 0901, I was getting some random temperature warnings in pcprobe and Ai Booster, as well as incorrect fsb and cpu speed readings. Consider 0901 to be a very beta Bios. All is well once again with 0701:)Quote:

It's weird though, i am running a P4 550, and it's clocked at 14 x 275 (3.8 ghz). Anything over 275 the FSB really goes crazy on AI Booster. On 275 it fluctuates a little bit, but not as bad. I had alway figured that it was my processor, but who knows?
:confused2
nicke, you have to SET vcore = 1.4v or more but not AUTO in bios before you flashing bios.
after bios flashing, restart , set a vcore, enter into OS, shutdown pc.
cut off powersupply.
then... restart and enter bios. you will have vcore option Always available.
same problem here. its strange that it shows 252mhz fsb. it does the same for me.Quote:

you know how normally the lights on your keyboard flash up then your system posts? well mine flashes 3 times (or i hear that sound 3 times... something like that) before the system posts forreal.
very nice and useful info. :DQuote:

ANy1 checked the max fsb yet ?
4 ppl whu got Vcore Change problem.
Change memory config.
Try with it...on my rig it was big diffirance between 2x512 and 4x512 in setting vcore...strange but true.
Just try
Yeah but I can't use anything but auto :PQuote:

It might be what why...
I have E6700ES with multiplier x6-x10, but I do not know how it to change.
I constantly have x10 and the option of change multiplier in BIOS is inaccessible.
I tried 078 and 0701 in both is identical.
How is it possible to change multiplier?

But stepping4 is can be change multiplier.
(Though it depends on BIOSver.)
However, if CrystalCPUID (Funtion,Intel Enhanced SpeedStep Control) are used, it will be changed.

Can't I really change multi with any version BIOS in BIOS?
If it is possible, with what version?
I never used CrystalCPUID, but I shall try.
Thanks.
Nop haven't tried that yet.Quote:

Here is the link to the Asus ftp site where I found an older version of AFUDOS:Quote:
