Anyway i think we do need benchies, i don't want to wait near enough a month for results when i could see them sooner.
FFS one week already and no tests :slapass:

Doubtful.
Can you elaborate ?Quote:

lol, just came to laugh at the salted.
This will be my first ATI product in 3 years. Sounds good to me!!
let me try to understand. x1900xtx is 625/1700 and the x1950xt is 650/2000, does it have 80nm instead of 90nm? That accounts for the slightly higher clock along with faster ram. If x1900xtx is $499 now, the x1950xt is gonna be at least $599
benchies would be nice...
Unfortunately it is still on 90nm process.Quote:

Negative, sir. You can pick up a Sapphire X1900XTX on Newegg for $375 right now. I've heard that introductory MSRP is going to be $449 for the X1950XTX.Quote:

x1950xt is nothing new, just faster rated ram. ATI made no changes, its the ram manufactors that did. Reminds me of the ti4200, ti4400 and ti4600 where the only difference was in the faster memory. The core clocks were different by default but it was the same core and you could usually overclock anyway.
A complete reference cooler overhaul is nothing to sneeze at, especially considering the previous X850 leafblower design.Quote:

Without the warm air exiting the case, the whole ambient temp begins to rise, as the air circles around ad infinitum gaining heat from the core, ultimatley leading to a higher gpu temp.
The ATI soloution has been well thought through, the real issue for some is the noise factor.

Better memory bandwidth will have a big effect on Crossfire.
They have also made some changes to the core. Atleast thats what I've heard. If they are true all overclockers will be happy I'm sure :)
I would like to know, if the Danger Den Tyee - X1900 fits on the x1950...
Possible ?
