Not sure who you were talking to but my link was not prebuilt.....Quote:

Well then it's still a great price for a 5000+... Although I don't do pre-orders on anything as it always looks like an invatation to get screwed... :)Quote:

Maybe, or maybe the manufacturer buys back the diff.....Quote:

2 days ago preorder bundle price was 280 for the 5000+Quote:

Nokteknic's link. I thought Monarch might charge a price premium for the prebuilt systems.Quote:

Looks like they may drop to those prices inc VAT after the 24th.Quote:

BETTER LOOKING BOARDS!!!! hahaha
This Asus is really nice, Pretty well setup too. I don't like the heat pipes tho. Only down side, when it gets hot, it gets hot.

they invented a fan for that :fact:Quote:

X2 3800 - £117.37incl VAT
X2 4200 - £146.75incl VAT
X2 4600 - £176.12incl VAT.
And if your a member of HEXUS.net , you can get free delivery too !
Glad I waited :D
I knew this would happen. I'm already set-up on a Conroe compatible board though. These prices look very competitive (especially 3800 X2). The only thing is there appears to be more overclocking headroom in the Conroe chips than the AMDs.
I think the lower prices are on Monarch NOW...
X2-3800 $169
X2-4200 $189
If the 5000+ is greater than 282, then I might as well get a E6600. Better performance than a 5000+ by only a few dollars.
