Core Temp reports the same temps for me under load on my E6300 which is currently sitting at stock speeds on an Abit AB9 Pro. Core Temp says 44C under Prime and Abit uGuru reports the same.

Tested the load temps with 2 instances of super pi 32m running and after 30 min of prime (had asus probe logging temps at 1s intervals.)
Only fans I have running are the radiator fan, gpu fan and the weird P5W DH fan that hooks onto the heatsink covering the voltage regulators...
In a few hours I'll have the vmch mod done (have to go pick up a new multimeter at radioshack... can't find one that will read that low of voltages in my garage!
Oh yea if anyone wants to know the conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius and vise versa, I believe (remembering from 5th grade lol) the formula is (TempF-32)(5/9) or for C to F it's (TempC+32)(9/5)... or for Windows calculators its: (F-32)(.55) or (C+32)(1.8)... So Rodman you're ambient temp would be 20.9*c if my formula is correct...

I do not think Core Temp is correct. It only shows a 5 degree change between Idle and Load.
Also, the air temp coming off of my rad is just warm at best under load, and at idle it is almost cool.

I still think my temps are a tiny bit hot however the HS is not hot at all even when running prime. I really think there is an issue when reading temps. I may try to re-apply AS5 and reseat heatsink however I feel that it won't do me any good. I was really hoping to get 3.0-3.2ghz however with these temps I'm kind of worried. What's weird is my temps did not go up at all going from 2.4 to 2.88.

The major question I have is if people hit these high of temperatures in Core Temp, why not leave cpu throttling on and see if it slows down the Clock Rate to compensate for the high temperature. That would prove if Core Temp is right or wrong. I agree and also believe that it is subjective to how much voltage is in and doesn't seem very accurate.
I lapped an OEM E6700 becuase of Core Temp's reading being to high. When I took the processor off you could see that the AS had touched a complete square on the waterblock, so I figured lapping may help. Proved that temps only went down by 1 degree. I think that the processors are already making good contact with the heatsink and Core Temp is bugged for now.
Conroe temps at stock voltage are actually quite reasonable. They do seem to ramp higher than most other cpus as they are placed under load, but what really heats them up is higher vcore. So for overclocking with air, be prepared to run high temps. let the stability be your guide as to how far, but use a slow a voltage as possible.

I've remounted about 4-5 times and the temps have remained the same. Using the latest verison of Throttle Watch (2.01) I don't throttle, even after 6 hours of P95 small FFT. I think Core Temp is wrong.
why should core temp be wrong ? your cpu don't throttels, which is right, cause it don't reached 85°C.
anyway, 76°C is bit high, while idle 45°C is ok.
are you sure your fan goes max speed at dual prime ? my does NOT with auto fan control in bios. it stays at 2000rpm, where it can do 2500rpm.
i got 5°C lower with manual fan control via speedfan.

I agree that Core Temp can't be trusted. I have been touching the heat pipes, touching the actual copper base, and putting my finger down the middle of the Ninja. At idle everything is completely cool. After dual priming for 9 hours, each of the three areas is warm. Pleasantly warm though, not hot. I have remounted this several times, and each time I notice that the AS5 is spread in an even square on both the heatspreader and the heatsink base, so I have good contact. No, there's simply no way the core of the processor is 57C under load at 2.4GHz and stock voltage.
My BIOS temps say ~34 - 35C idle (can't really test at load in BIOS).
I was in the same boat as you and what was weird the more I OC'd the better my temps got :confused: very weird I now average 39-40 idle and 47-50 load. Never higher...even with an ambient of almost 80fQuote:
