DFI Infinity 975X/G tested by Tarosa

It's far more pathetic to still be hooking floppy drives up to new rigs then it is to hook up large capacity IDE hard drives. It's the year 2006. We should not still be seeing the need for floppys, just like we shouldn't be seeing new PC games released on CD. Make USB drives bootable and allow them to "emulate" floppy drives if they are needed that badly to load RAID drivers.

I'll buy a board that has 2 IDE cables... no need to waste another 75-100 bucks on a backup drive when I can just use the hundred bucks to get a better motherboard.

I really don't believe there will be a lanparty 975 board any time soon. Why would DFI omit this from their roadmap. That wouldn't make sense ;)

The ATI board should be a monster, I have the reference board here and the option to clock the memory totally independantly is just awesome. Seeing the CPU with 1fsb steps and then tuning the ram the same way is what we all wanted...im sure Oskar will make a board which just destroys the competition.

I believe the ATI will be awesome indeed. When will they be publically available ? August ? I'll have to find something to fill the gap meanwhile :)
