Yeah you're definitely correct about 32M. I didn't even bother running that on the Merom, virtually equal clock for clock to Yonah.

i dought much performance(GAMING) difference will be seen between the 2mb and 4mb clock per clock. More of a difference would be seen if the 2mb was using a faster FSB speed.

The E6600 looks more appealing, $220 less than the E6700, and with a 9x multi, it's good for running mem 1:1 with fsb. 4-5Ghz, 1:1, runs the mem at 444-555mhz. I doubt we'll see much over that for 24/7, since 5Ghz is the WR w/ LN2 right now.

The unlocked multi and cherry picked core sure do make me drool over that 6800 though :hehe:

Ah, I was just reading and I saw posts about the multi being unlocked, i assumed his pics would reflect that.

My boot speed and should be obtainable by anyone with phase and this setup. My memory will go to 460 1:1 @ 3-3-3-9 2.2v

My mobo has no mods other than debug jumper.

This would be a likely safe spot for people going after this setup. ambiant temp of 77F, 85F in case.

Memory runs a bit warm, but should be fine. No NB fan, 120mm at front and back of case.

For those that are asking about Conroe multipliers, here's the definative statement. I can't speak for retail Conroe and guarantee anything (since no one has a retail chip yet). But this I do know:

1) Conroe ES is unlocked from 6x to the default multiplier for that speed. (ie., 6-8x for E6400, 6-9x for E6600, 6-10x for E6700, etc.)

2) Conroe XE ES is FULLY unlocked both up and down (to 6x).

I went reading on Google, and found alittle info that I think relates to this AMD Awaymode thing.

it seems to be a part of AMD Live, which seems to be some little program for media, that supposedly gives a little boost in responsiveness when coming out of hibernation, and when doing things, like watching tv from multiple sources and such...
