because examining a set of modded 8x.xx series drivers shows the files that have been expanded and modified ;) :fact:
Someone must have the 9XXX modded files avail.. send me a pm if you do please and Nvidia? You suck major ass for doing this...

Another anomally is why there is no nVidia Chipset supporting the Duo CPU's? Seems like someone somewhare didn't want to pay for the Royalties, ....maybe! In the Meantime, the End user (muppets like us) have to Bend over & take a right Royal Shafting for it.
I don't think I have ever seen the computer industry in such depraved turmoil. Perhaps Bill should get the blame for this cr4p as well. It's easy to point an accusing finger, but someone has to carrry the can for it, & damned right they should; ......Whoever you are! :slapass: :slapass: :slapass: :slapass: :slapass: :slapass: :slapass:

Intel Core 2 Duo - Test
"A relatively simple procedure to ensure the Core 2 Duo compatibility is to directly use P965 Express. Announced in early June, this chipset only equips very recent motherboards and is automatically compatible with Core 2 Duo. Compared to the 975X, it works with a more functional ICH8. The MCH can only support one PCI Express x16 link, whereas the 975X can support one x16 link or two x8 and Crossfire. SLI will be accessible via the new NVIDIA nForce 5 line for Intel and will be released this summer. Here again, all nForce 5 motherboards will be automatically compatible with the Core 2 Duo, but sooner there will also be a modified nForce 4 that will support the Core 2 Duo."
I also tried to compare the drivers with beyondcompare.. And I see the files that have been "updated".. but I dont know how in the name of god I can modify them..!Quote:

I might as well take up Studying "Swa-fooking-Heeli" as try this cr4p! :(Quote:

your GX2 shall run anyways.. update your bios and it WILL work with stock 91.31 drivers!Quote:

BadAxe has three PCIe x16 slots (but only two PCI slots). So it's a motherboard issue with the 965, not a chipset issue.Quote:

Hey guys,
I've got the modded 84.43 drivers (many thanks to Big_Sam for that, incredible work :toast:), and I am able to enable SLI in the control panel. However : enabling SLI doesn't seem to do anything :( My scores with SLI enabled are a very little bit higher than with the single GFX (about 1000 3D03Marks, but I guess this is cpu bound), but certainly not up to the level I got them with the Nforce4. My results : Nforce4 sli score : 36000, 975X SLI score 24600, Nforce4 single GFX : 23600. SLI bridge is connected in both cases by the way :)
Anyone got any idea why I can't enable SLI properly ? Thanks :)
Yeah...its dead easy & quite Logical really.......No official drivers are available yet. ;)Quote:

Moreso, we saw the Industry fudge us with one 8X PCI-e slot for Graphics, then 2 @ 8x arrived. Then we bent over for 2 x 16x Slots, and chipsets carried the can for the upgrades to PCI-e technologies.
& here we are now 12 months on from PCI-e going live & the chipsets, not just Intel, are still carrying the can. We now have nVidia NOT yet officially supported by Intel, but it might be!?
Why so many Whys?
Then why can someone like Coolaler with the same drivers enable SLI the "right" way : threadQuote:

...However, do NOT exxpect these figures to be right. nVidia are NOT supporting SLI in Beta form or offical form. They cant even supply Beta drivers for the 7950GX2 on WindoZe Vista & yet nVidia Profess to have built the 7950GX2 for Vista.
Piss Take
Phenominal Vista Experience my Fat Ass.....I'm a registered Vista Beta Tester, have a 7950Gx2 & cant have more than a Std VGA adapter with a bloody 60Hz refresh. So much for being able to see 3D WindoZe!
It's totaly laughable all round...a bit like nVidia still using the nForce 4 Northbridge for the 975X chipset..the Muppets!
Big_Sam,
First of all, thanx for the driver, had the 84.43 but thought i give it a try.
It did some serious damage to my rig...
after installing, i rebooted, and xp messed up, could“nt any 3d apps at all.
my quick launch menu was gone, got it back though, but icons all messed up.
Any experiences with this prob?
There can be you have not uninstalled the previous driver from system completely.Quote:
