Yeah I get about 3-5MHz more, and another 3MHz or so up to 5-4-2. Nothing to 5-4-3 or 5-4-4. But I find 5-2-2 at the early 500s is way faster.Quote:

@dinos: I just read, that this guy from HWL had problems with the first version, especially with the RAM settings. I seems to be fixed, maybe also for the boards in serie.
My board is ordered, supplier said hopefully mid auf next week...
I ordered here: oc-wear.de - well known for their OCing-products
I have 3 RAM-kits here and 1 T2400 waiting since 4 weeks...
Hehehe, I know at least 2 other guys from this thread ordering the Aopen also from that place :DQuote:

i had a chat with a senior product manager for AOpen products with a distributor here in Australia and in can tell you one thing..........AOpen is pretty serious about this platform....i would give them benefit of the doubtQuote:

fair point.........no one knows everything....hence they've got some learning to do but if they listen to the right people they will get there soonerQuote:

Remotes are soo cool, no longer need to jump start your boards..just push the button on and she's away. (that's if you remote has an on button - the Asus one's that come with the wifitv do :D)
Jump starting is fine in the benchies, but when it's for your entertainment PC you need a better method to turn her on.
I've been out for a while so I don't know much about these Yonahs, how much does a cpu cost? and I believe there's no motherboard available yet?
For me is the reason to buy Aopen is early release date. I dont want to wait any longer. ;)Quote:

At first i try my luck with Aopen, maybe i get sometime an ECS or DFI
@Waus: you are right, who needs a remote control for OCing...
We will see, how the ECS performs. For the AOPen we have allready results...;)
I talked to oc-wear today at phone. The guy said, they ordered a bigger number of the i975Xa and they are quite shure, AOpen is able to deliver enough next week. They have a lot of orders from all over Europe.
So, we will see, how things going on the next weeks.
But the EPOX is also only a 945er. Up to now only ECS and AOpen offer a 975er...;)
Not yet - and around... 5-600 USDQuote:

I though it had to be 975 to support yonah. Am I wrong? Either way, big disappointment if it's only 945.Quote:

Forget all 945 boards unless you wanna run them at stock or very mild oc. How are you supposed to overclock if it has no locks? Or am I wrong?
@kiwi: you are right...;)
Maybe some 945er have the right setting, we will see soon...;)
bah. 975 is what we need... but actually 945 would work for us as well, but multiplyer clock kindda sux :(
Please add KUBOKUBO from Team Japan.
Thanks:)

The other beauty of Merom is that it is 100% compatible with existing Yonah designs, meaning that all Core Duo notebooks today should be able to accept a Merom processor with at most a BIOS update.
That´s a goog news!
Still hope to get the AOpen this week...:D
fantastic :D
:cheer2:
So Aopen, ECS and other Yonah boards should be Merom compatible. Ownage :D
Does it?Quote:

All without a home tho ;)
Any idea's on memory we should use?
same question here :)

:woot: me too...
corsair 5400UL and 8000UL
Hit me Waus-mod...
you got some to spare ?
wow, yonah and crossfire will own.
There is someone on telenet selling a Pentium 4 LGA 775 system with some nice rams in it, 2Gb. Look for a thread from Accucore.
I want yonah too :D (sooner or later - depend on cash ;) )
Totally agree, however, they're to pricey IMO...Quote:

2* 22g Artic Ceramique
1700mhz Celeron (uhh, 20$, brand new CPU, bang for the buck)
Enough thermalpaste for... A year ;) - And the celeron, IHS's gonna be used, and the CPU'll probaly look quite cool in the back mirror in the car :D
ok.. im making a hwbot to auto update the 1m score's :)
Does hwbot update data if I post a new score or should I update the old post? Just wonderred how they work, same in 3d section

Waus, dont you dare not including PiFast :slapass:
I heard from ECS today, we have three boards set aside for XS and working on a group buy for early next month.
We are still a little ways out from getting boards in the US so it looks like April is Yonah month.
One of the three boards will go to Mike for his help in chip distrobution.
:woot: Mike + ECS + Merom :banana:Quote:

Okay Waus mod, please add me :D.
My San Diego 3700+ setup is almost a year old, time to celebrate with a new setup :D.
The bot only shows your highest score in the ranking, no need to edit posts. There's also an option to let the bot show the highest per user per platform (cpu + videocard combo), but as we will all be using the same platform that won't be necessary.Quote:

The intended use for Intel core duo on MoDT (mobile on desktop) mobo is to be the center of digital living room whre the system run everything with power and little heat.
And once in a while you can bench it and beat....:)
Testing within 1 / 1 1/2 week! i cant wait!
That´s mine, so we can compare to your ES :D

I wonder, are all of the Yonah ES's so far produced by Intel, in hands of guys some way or the other associated with XS? It certainly seems so :D
Well those 100 ES'es weve seen here on xs are just 1 part of the whole batch (week 30 and week 42)
I am sorry as this is not really related to Competition. I was wondering which one to get if I want Yonah based system .... I see there are two packaging avlbl.... 478 and 479... I do get that 479 is for Aopen 975-YDG and all other boards with S479 (945/975 chipsets). Then whats the story of 478pin Yonah?? T2500 is for $416 @ ZZF, but will it work on regular 478 boards(865/875) with updated BIOS?? ?
Once again Sorry for crapping the thread..
i hope i have the aopen in 2 days, because the shop tell me that is available tomorrow  :woot:
That would be great.... allready find out wich chip youre going to fire first ??? :cheer:
@Cri$ch: were did you ordered the board?
hey guys..LV xeon yonah(HT support-EM64T) 479 release today! i read the news from japan.2G and 1.66G with l2 2mb*2?
does really xeon turn to 479 pin?
links ?
ibby
Thanks for that.
FSBは667MHz、2次キャッシュは2MB、TDPは31W。CPUソケットはCore Duoと同様のmPGA 479。なお、Hyper-ThreadingとEM64Tはサポートしない。

Interesting CPU...
You my remember, that the Opteron is a server-CPU too...;)
Maybe a new OCing star rising?
