Isn't setting it at 0 the same as having no skew at all? And for TREF IMO you need to try all of the bottom 8 in the BIOS (all 1.95us settings). 2560, 3072, or 3684 I think are your best bets

skew increase (slow) is actually a smidge more stable, but inconsistantly. decrease is worse. i've tested that out quite throroughly

mal 9ns, i was trying not to do that, but i might if i can't get 300mhz otherwise
preamble already is 5.5ns ;)

also, tref.. i've messed around with that a lot too, and 3072 is definitly most stable no matter what.

Not True. The Mushkin Redline 2GB Kit can do 48+hours of p95 blend but instantly error in 3dmark05 and run like poop in BF2 and CS Source. With your Vid Card i dont think u can run the tests that we all want u to run :( Got any friends close by that'll let u borrow theirs and run a few benchies?

I apprecaite all those who expect to purchase TeamGroup 2gb set cronus, here is the lastest update news from what the 1st director of Marketing, "I am pretty much confident that we will have nearly 400 pairs allocate to different regions especially focus on US market."

What about that guys? I promise that certainly you guys will have that just the matter you gotta give them to produce and do the QA.

Micron chips never had 3D problems. If they were prime, 90% of the time they were also 3D.

As for that TankGuys newsletter, they are having three sets of Teamgroup memory tested. A set of pc4800 TCCD, a set of pc3200 UTT, and a set of 2GB micron -5b F. I'm personally testing the 4800 and the UTT. Tankguys forum member Avalon got the Micron.

I'll be posting my results here as well as on Tankguys forums, don't know about Avalon though.

just played through a skirmish in warhammer, no problems at all. took about 30 min. this is at the same exact settings used in the prime95 stable shot i took earlier.

anyway, after doing some poking about, i'm gonna agree with enjoy.. micron doesn't have 3d problems, except in a few rare cases. this isn't one of those :toast:

Well, a nice post, with a lot of facts, rumors and some nice results.

As for the set I have, even before they were called Cronos,
I havn`t tried anything more than 2,78V, and they max out @289 3-3-3-8 on my RDX.
On my NF4 Ultra-D got them op to @287 3-3-3-8.

Sadly, couldn`t get them to do 2-2-2-8@200 on neither.
Remarkably though, lateral timings can stay 15-7-1-2-1-2 up to 269~.

Compared to UCCC 3-4-4-8 @ 299x9 vs 269X10 the microns give me the best system performance, so until i get a better set, these are here to stay.

Well, some detailed explaining on how I got them, then.

After purchasing my first 2 sets, Infineon and Samsung based, i contacted their support with a request on info and availability on a set, that would be compatible with my barebone.

Got a mail the same day, that a shipment was sent to their German distri.
He got different flavours, including some new microns.
They were the first sets, to be shipped.
And I got one of them.

Me lucky. :toast:

Three weeks later, I posted my findings on Madshrimps, and another three weeks later availability should be a fact.
They seem to mis that by a week.

If that is all :slapass:

And as for all the modules I have, I paid for them and got them through retail channels.

i saw that review and was slightly jealous that someone had beaten me to the punch of getting a review on them (:slapass: for me being slow) . i should have mine up in about a week or so, i'm gonna be away from my test rig cause i'm going snowboarding with my dad this week :toast:

strange that you couldn't do 2-2-2 at 200mhz. mine is just barely stable, though i only have 2-3mhz of headroom. at 2.7v, max 32m stable is just a smigde over 201mhz, and i've found that max prime stable is about 1mhz underneath max 32m stable.. so yeah, just barely does 200mhz at 2-2-2 ;)

3-3-3 is definitly optimal though. my chart of max 32m stable results:

Maybe the early bird isn`t always the winner.

Nice results though. Maybe going to burn them harder, once my new CE6 are in.
Almost same story, hard to get, long wait.
Until then, 263X11 24/7 for my system.
Maybe finally finish my second rig, so i can do some more heavy testing.

As for the results of my test, keep in mind it is an RDX, not an Expert/Venus.
It has a few strange twists, but I love it.

Nice foot-note, calls for competition, though.

wow ozzi, you really like to test your RAM don't you :p: No way I'd have the patience for all those 32m runs.

On a side note I also have some Team Infineon coming in as well :) Don't know exactly which IC's, but they're rated 3-3-2-8 at DDR500 for $220! Similar OCZ stuff costs $280

well i just checked work today and found another 2 sticks of Amicroe OEM with Micron -5B F chips... one is week 50 and the other is week 52.... (i already got a week 50 and week 52 infront of me...)

im yet to test them as i dont have a motherboard yet... im awaiting my dfi expert....

unfortunately i think i got one of the very early revisions of the DFI board... AA0?

i havent really done any research on the revisions but hopefully this is a good board...

I will update u guys asap... hopefully in a couple of days :)

I have a 3000+ S754 NC CBAUC and its one of the first NCs out and the mem controler sucks. All I can get out of the mem controler is about 255 and the meme will do that at 3,3,3,8.

Its -5b rev F.

IT SUCKS that my NC has a poor mem controler. This the cooling on it as of now. This rev F is much cooler the the rev C and rev D at the same voltage.

I was tired of the P4 1.8 ghz, 512 mb ram, and 9600xt aiw. Wanted as much power as possible within my budget. Currently, it has cost me around $1200, but I still have a 3500+ and AN8-SLI mobo to sell to drop that cost down to something more like $900-$1000. :D

Ok get ready.... This Micron Cronus should be in our hands b4 the end of the week. I Back-ordered my set with priority next day air from tank guys. If i'm lucky i'll have it thursday. I was told that all backorders would be filled and ship tomorrow or thursday. Keep am eye on inventory @ TankGuys. I think there might be some extras poppin up over there tomorrow.

well, it's still micron. it's a lot cooler than my 512mb ballistix, but not cool enough to get away with not cooling em when pushing towards 300mhz.. plus, why not actively cool them? micron responds more to temperature than any other ic i've messed with :p:

as for the 2nd comment.. well, there's evidence how that is, right? just last week i finally hit 297mhz for sPI 32m and got 295mhz prime95 and game stable. no issues or quirks yet :D

Well just don't be that rush, there are 50 sets just head out in US from Taiwan yesterday, don't waste the $$ to the shipping company, as long as I am here, I promise you guyswill havew this for sure.

Time for playing some aenoen that someone just don't wanna tell the truth.;)

Hopefully yes. It's out of our hands though - they are shipping directly from Team. I didn't want to have them go to us first, then re-ship as that would cause huge delays for everyone. Our rep said they should ship today though, otherwise tomorrow. So it should be happening quick, but again, it's kind of out of our hands...

Hey ozzi!

My new rev Ballistix just came in today from Crucial RMA. They are the new .16TD1 rev stuff, any idea if these are still -5B D or the new "F" chips? I think it's still -5B D with a pcb revision. Anywho, I'll be testing these against the TeamXtreem PC4000 Micron -5B F I have on the way to me next week to see which overclocks best and which will be best for my 24/7 setup. I'll let you all know how that turns out next week when the TeamGroup arrives. :)

I just got sick of my G.skill being prime stable for 48hrs at 275 3-3-2-5 but 3d stable only at 249 and under :(

Let's hope these stix dont that have that stupid 3D "bug"

How is team shipping? i paid $40 for overnight by 10:00AM... I dont think that is possible from taiwan.
