I were nearly crying, I've prepared a run for quite some time, I'm hunting 43-44K with 3700+ + x850XT, watercooled, got 41K today, but 2 tweaks werent used, they'd give 1K.. - A fresh install is also needed, my DL can get 30-40 fps higher by fresh install :slap:

596 nature will be too difficult to overcome with this card and chip I think. 54k will need a miracle.. I have enought ln2 for one or two tries tonight. I'll give it a shot :)

I think "best chip out of 80 rules" sounds even better ;). If I had your cpu speed george, I could come very close to matching your 54k score with a technically weaker last gen card.

This is so not an ATI vs NVIDIA thing you guys shouldn't make it that way...so many other factors involved with 01'....tweaking, bench order, cpu speed, cpu volts, coldbug on vga, etc...

OOhh man thats crazy. I think you need some old BH-5 512mb sticks. With some good BH-5 sticks running the same speed as those 256's, I think 55k would have fallen. Crazy benches hipro.

How would 512s help? It's not an NF4 platform. AFAIK i915 does not benefit from 512mb+ sticks.

I think it would benefit from bank interleaving. It makes a pretty significant difference in Superpi, so I think it would also make somewhat of an increase in 3dmark.

I really need to cool it for awhile and get some sleep ;). Want to just chill and spectate all the great stuff that is going on with the new hardware. Kinc, overklokk, gubben shamino, OPP, Jason, fugger, team romania,lots of of others I cant even think of atm, and of course you. Just about everyone is doing something right now. Great time to be a overclock/benchmark freak.

As for 01' even with your 600 nature, if I can somehow match you on cpu speed I can still come very close to 55k I bet or more. Mission impossible of course, but a fun challenge still. My CL's and DL's would be off the charts with 275x15and would compensate easily for the big difference in nature. I still haven't done any new 01' and after seeing what you did here there is def. no rush now :). I can't risk killing one of these 7800's before I finish dx9 stuff.

dont post this crap please, if you cant tell us anything dont bother teasing us, i have every confidence that next gen hardware is in fact faster then current gen. I dont need to be teased. It hasnt already happened, im sure intel and amd have some nice fast chips running in thier labs too, but until we see them they dont exist as far as im concerned.

Not to rant too hard, but we are getting more nad more nda people here, and its very nice to hear about upcoming hardware, but i am not one that likes to be teased. If you arent allowed to say anything, please do just that, and dont say anytihng.

listen like i said, im not trying to start a fight here. But fact is if i cant buy the hardware, or at least see a compare link, i dont want to hear about it.
