Great! Hope it works out for you, I know the prototype that I am using right now on my SLI-DR works wonders. I hope to have it released soon, just waiting to get some more money in the bank i'm friggin' broke :pQuote:

I do hope you post at AT FS/FT, Hardforum too...probably alot of buyers there
Just make a post in the OCing forums...
Thanks for the support / suggestion mate, I'll post it up over at hardforum later tonight when I get home from work!Quote:

Ah yes good thinkin I'll register there and post up as well! I'm sure there are some other forums out there as well that I could post up on.
I just don't like the idea of registering and making my first thread a sales thread. Usually noy how I role but I'll give it a shot and hope not to get the ban hammer :/
Many peopel at AT will know you from here...they just may not frequent XS as much
this is a nice item...
Does it usually take a long time for the admins over at Hardforum to review and grant access to the forum? They have it setup for account review before you can start posting :(
Doing some posting on OCF right now, I'll do AT next :)
I registered at hardforums years ago..so I dont know..may have changed the rules...I recall just signing up
BTW if you need a reference you can use me..I am nealh at hardforum, AT etc

Secondly, I would also like to know a liitle how this was designed, if that is possible. After you desgned it, what is the actual process getting the units cut and made and what kind of technichian would be used for that ... that type of stuff, thanks :)
Just ordered mine, it better be good for this price ;)
It willd efinately help your overclock if you're pushing a lot of voltage through your RAM and/or CPU. Most RAM these days requires active cooling and even says so right on the packaging so this is a great way to professionally and cleanly rig up that solution. I know that when I'm running 1.7+v through my CPU my mofets absolutely set on fire so I knew i had to do something about that. I sinked up all of my fets with nice Swiftech copper BGA heatsinks to also aid with the cooling, definately a great option if you get the mosfet side cooler or the whole bracket.Quote:

Hope that answers some of your questions!
@Nanometer: Got your order, it'll go out today, thanks buddy!
why defend them..while he is selling for a profit many OCers would love to know this is around...how many of us compalin re:PWMIC temps???Quote:

Oh well, things are going great! Putting in a request for the new ultra-d proto tomorrow!
Frag Out!
Is one able to use a single bracket on DFI SLI DR with SI 120 over the PMWIC area??
Unfortunately the SI-120 is just too darn massive to fit in any configuration with this bracket, sorry mate :(
Oh well...do you think if the bracket were cut so as to maitain the holes for screw you could still mount a fan and make it stable...I am just trying to decide on buying and cutting and trying to get it to fit
I don't quite follow what you're trying to do. Elaborate a little bit more for me :)Quote:

Of course this defeats all your hardwork
Even after doing the single side mode it won't fit. The heatpipes that come off the back of the cooler come out so far that they hit the bracket. I don't think there's any way to further mod the bracket so that it would fit with that heatsink.
on DFI SLI DR my heatpipes face my videocard ..different layout vs Expert mobo
It may possibly fit with low-profile 50mm fans or even just by leaving the 50mm fan holes empty.... You could definately just lop off the RAM cooling side as the 40mm fans are supported w/ ease by the two side standoffs.
I completely forgot that the heatpipes are up / down on the SLI-DR opposed to left / right on the Expert.
I definately think you could make it work one way or another!
Any updates on the Ultra-D/SLI-D(R) bracket?
Still putting some final touches on it.
But admittedly I haven't had much chance to work on it lately as I've been working some OT at work.
In a few weeks I should be ready to go with the production model of it. Thx for staying with it while I get it worked out :)
Cool. Can't wait to see the final product :D
I guess the site is down? I finally get around to ordering one and the site goes down. Any clue on how long until it will be back up. One other question...Do you ship to FPO addresses?Quote:

WWW.FRAGTEK.COM IS BACK UP!
You may resume placing orders as usual, thanks!!!
Would the full bracket have clearance for my STORM waterblock and how loud are those fans anyways?
the fans are moderately loud but nothing like say a tornado, etc.
the full bracket is compatible with all waterblocks, thanks for your interest!
Just ordered one a few minutes ago. Great idea - can't wait to get it!
It'll go out tomorrow, thanks!!!
Bump in the night....
I want to give a big shout out to everyone who ordered brackets last night, it was a good night topping out at 6 brackets, 3 of which were fully loaded and 3 were bracket only.
Keep those orders coming, word must be getting around that these brackets are piiiimp :p hehe
www.fragtek.com to place your order :)
Just received mine - and it's excellent. Will be sleeving the fan wires this coming week. Bracket fits perfectly with two XFX 7800 GTXs & an Apogee WB. Beefy little fan, too. Good stuff going on here.
I'll tell my friend about this. He'll probably order 3 complete sets. :slobber:
Soooooo, the obvious choise hasn't been spoken. I will though.
Why don't you use two radial fans? Cheaper, less noise, better looking and above all they pump a LOT more.
Got a link for such an animal?Quote:

cool, i'd definately get one for my sli-d!
Look like geat
Just got mine in the mail today after a long month wait :) I wish I weren't sitting in the middle of the pacific ocean and having to wait forever to get things but it was definetly worth the long wait!
that's great mate! glad to hear u got it and like it.Quote:

If you haven't picked up one of these badboys yet - get it done. Looks great, isn't that loud, even though the fans are small [we're talking performance here, noise isn't part of the discussion - LOL], and installs nice and secure.
Great pickup. I'll surely buy another if I pick up another Expert.
Cheers!
Any news on one for the SLI-d?
It looks great installed mate! Glad you were able to get it rigged up and working properly. The sleeving is nice too :)Quote:

@Freebo: Current design/production on all of the brackets has ciesed and may not continue. I just moved in to a new place and have no money or time to continue with this project. As it is I'm thinking about having a huge blowout sale on the remaining Expert brackets to float me with a bit of cash to buy groceries, cigs, and put same gas in my car :/
How does $12 + shipping sound for the bracket only kits?
A shame to hear it. i hope you get back up on your feet soon.
Thanks mate, I hope to continue the project some day!
FragTek,
I apologize if you already addressed this but I did not take the time to read every post, I just found out about your design and had to know right away. Do you have any left for the Ultra-D DFI board? I will take one immediately, fans and all, I want a complete kit if you still have one. What is your price?
I saw it on GreatScott's rig and fell in love.
Tepabajo
anyone know if this kit will fit on the expert with a scythe ninja or a tuniq tower ?
also i have gskill ram .. 1.5 or 2 ? will the 1.5 fit ?
also how loud are these fans .. havent checked this thread in awhile and just saw they are ready to go .. waiting for answers before i order
thanks
ps. they look great .. good work:toast:
I think it says somewhere in the thread that it won't fit a ninja, though I don't know about the tunig tower. The fans aren't too bad, though they are now the noisiest component in my system. Not an option if you're looking for a silent PC - but a solid choice for a performance PC.Quote:

but maybe he knows .. so ill wait for his reply .. before i place my order
are gskill ram considered standard height ? they just have the heatspreaders on them like the ocz gold or plat or wutever ..
??
also has it been confirmed that the expert bracket fits with 7800gtx 512mb video cards ????
i guess ill be switching to the tuniq tower
Yeah, the non standard ram is the Corsair with the LEDs (what I have), while the rest s standard height. You have an option to order 2" OR 1.5" risers for clearance. The bracket fits with the 256mb version, cuz I have two in SLI - but I'm not sure if the 512 will fit.Quote:

does anyone know if the tuniq tower fits ? it looks like it does .. im sure someone here has tried
placed my order :D
Thanks for the orders mates! And yes 512's will work just fine :)
If anyone has mounting problems due to mismatched thread type get a hold of greatscott, he can give you some guidance on how to make it work. Unfortunately motherboard standoffs aren't standardized in the industry to a single thread size/space and I only cary the most common type in the hardware kit.
I am going to blow the rest of these brackets out at a super low price w/o fans....
BRACKET w/ NO HARDWARE - $10 SHIPPED [DOMESTIC ONLY] (the "mount it yourself" special :))
BRACKET w/ HARDWARE - $15 SHIPPED [DOMESTIC ONLY]
Same price for single side brackets...
NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES ON BRACKETS PURCHASED AT BLOWOUT PRICE, THX!
Send your payments to m.krei@fragtek.com w/ shipping information (remember these offers are for USA orders ONLY). Thanks guys.
You'll love it...especially down the line, when you take all of that sweet hardware you have - and put it on water :DQuote:

Shame, cuz it's pretty sweet, and works really well - especially on my setup, which is reverse ATX, and has the exhaust fan right at the rear edge of the bracket. All the hot air is sucked right out the back - perfect.
Going in to negotiation on selling the design rights to let someone continue producing these brackets (including the unreleased Ultra-D model). So keep your eyes peeled for the return of the brackets :)
I hope it works out man, would love to see an Ultra-D/SLI-DR bracket in the near future :DQuote:

are you out or do you still have some?
I've still got a few hangin around :)Quote:

Sorry mate, I've officially discontinued all bracket production and sales.
The website will be changed shortly to reflect this.
Why?!?
Time & money.
is there any chance you could send me a template for the atx screw holes?
Any updates about the person who bought the design - is it going to go back into production any time soon?
haven't sold it yet.
Burnout, why don't you just make your own, I did. It's actually pretty simple. Check out post #1398 under the Water cooling Picture Gallery here at this site. You can see a pretty good pic of what I made.Quote:

I didn't take any more pictures before installing and I don't plan on removing the unit for a couple weeks. All I did was to replace 4 mobo screws with 4 long standoffs and then I took a piece of cardboard cut to an approximate size and then placing the cardboard over the top of the standoffs I presssed against them making indentations on the back side for the location of the holes. Bought 3 50mm and 2 40mm fans, layed out everything on the template, trimed to fit the cardboard and then use it as a template to cut and shape the plexiglass. If you want to try it yourselves let me know if I can help any further.
thats what i recently decided to do. i would like to make it a accurate as possible tho.
