Intel is going to start owning 3d06 very soon. 2.8ghz X2 < stock 3.0ghz Pentium D with same single GTX 512 at same speeds.
Only problem is X1800XTs are taking a massive hit...not to mention singlecore intels too. P4 @ 5ghz + X1800XT = less than 5k in 06.
Yes the benchmark is illogically dependent on dual cores...but you can't that away from the idiots with Pentium Ds at stock !!!
Perkam
i say someone should run this with a yonah :)Quote:

4200 Marks, Opteron single core @ 2.9Ghz and X1800XT at 600/700.

lowest score award is mine! well almost anyway :(
490
Let's try Catalyst 6.1.. I hope it gives a boost on my score..
I can't see 6600 doing a better score than my X800GT.. :stick:
anybody else getting weird colours in the 1st SM3 Test? my X1800XT running both Cat 5.13 and 6.1 looks like this................http://img399.imageshack.us/img399/6...20063ej.th.jpg
**Edit** Looks like its caused by setting mipmap level to 'high performance' in CCC
I have 477 in a FX5900 all maxxed out with a Barton 3200+...Quote:

Bah! I did 1531 with CC 6.1... 3DMark06 doesn't like ATi definitely.. :slapass:

I have that with the card all overclocked to it's max, and running at 1024x768 (15" monitor) if i downclock and get another monitor you're in trouble... ahahahaQuote:

Nah... I'll try to score a 'normal' score again in 1 year :D
Nah, i have a 15" monitor, it won't do 1280x1024 so 3DMark runs @ 1024x768...Quote:

crank it i wanna see 10K :D
+ add those comparison links hey ;)
Congrats you're No#1 on ORB :toast:
Intel will smash AMD in 3DMARK06 from these initial results (CPU scores)...........at least in single card scores
Holy sheeeet, thats is an awesome score for a single XT, most seem to get around 5000 tops.Quote:

Damn i really want a FX-60/X2/Opteron Dual... (And not just for benching, well... Maybe a little...)
Hicks he gets a really great boost in score because of that dual core @ 4500Mhz... (Not that it's a bad thing :D)
4090 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=6630
cpu bottlenecked again :/ but still top orb for x850 so i cant complain
einCe heh, nice score :) You get more 1000Marks than I and not running the SM3 benchies :P Guess lately all that's good comes in pairs...
Pretty pants:
4276. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7862
Stock GPU, drivers on performance, CPU at 2600mhz.
I also got seriously wierd corruption on the Canyon test.
*yawn* come on people where's 10k already??? this thing has been out for hours!
Damn people with the mean hardware are holding out!
could be a driver issue for x1800 cards as some folks get it some folks dontQuote:

wonder's if this is causing X1800s lower scores ???
I am sure we will see a lot of improvements with new drivers. It could very well be that NV is more prepared with their current version than ATI.
yay, i got the top 1800 xl for today lol - 4519 :)

On canyon with 5.13 and CCC set to "performance" i get the weird colours as wel. Uninstalled CCC and 5.13 and installed only 6.1 driver (no CCC yet). All is fine now. Wil install CCC with 6.1 and set it up like i had with 5.13 to see if that makes a difference. Scores with/without the "corruption" are the same for me.Quote:

Yeah, it has something to do with setting "Performance" for the mipmapping, as well as super high clocks (didn't get that until I took my X2 up to 2.75).Quote:

1up on the stupidity scale for FM.
I do think the only Bench from them I have seemed to understand the scoring on was '05... 1 frame = 1 point.. makes sense to me!Quote:

Yes i have a prob with this benchmark06 but i dont know if the prob is from my ultraD-SLI. I can run 3D03 3D05 PCmark04 but i cant run PCmark05 and 3D06, my comp freeze when these programs scan my comp, i mean the very first moment when these 2 benchmark program start.Quote:

Good luck m8 :)
btw any ideas on a safe voltage for the 7800gtx 512 (benching) ??? Aircooled
wow you guys are getting really impressive scores, very nice :toast:
ok - so 3dmark05 was wayyyyy GPU dependent, and now 3dmark06 is wayyyyy CPU dependent... sort of lame imo... seems like 3dmark03, although lacking a lot of new technology tests, is still the best bench with a balanced blend of gpu and cpu dependencies for the final outcome number. or so it would seem from my initial impressions here..
Here is mine
6200 modded 6600 wirh rivatuner and oc @550/700
CPU Sempron 754 2600+@2600MHz

Any chance this is the top score right now? :)
i knew you could do it............would this be the highest OC so far
kinc mentioned 3DMARK06 in his post..........so we'll be seeing some 3.5GHz FX60 runs with crazy GTX OCs soon i reckon :DQuote:

actually 4th on the orb!
my gtx can give more mhz but now i'm working on my two days old FX, more to come i hope!
actually DINOS is No.1 boys
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=27310
he he, 1024x768...
he already has the highest cpu score @ only 4.9ghz so he only requires two decent nvidia cards to take top spot  .Quote:
