and where can I find for my mem spd bios?
thx
@achill3us : if one of them still good, you can make dump from it, then rewrite it to the bad one ...
@zungkono
I'm trying, I'm trying.. and I havent said that my bad stick works fine if i put it before useing in the icebox for 15 minutes :stick: but I shotdown my machine, restart, and no signal again..
Somebody can give me a 100% good OCZ5001024ELDCGEVX-K dump? pls :D
A picture of those pins that should be left open would be a good idea? :)Quote:

The red pins need to be left uncovered. Sorry i couldn't find a Mushkin pic :)
Heh, i don't mind about it :)
@Waus-mod, can you put that image to first post as well?
My friend has give me the dump of 1gig OCZ 4000 VX Gold, but my problem stays, I think I must move my ram back to OCZ :(
But If somebody need this dump, here is the good one.. ;)
Could you clarify exactly when you inserted the stick?Quote:

I'm going to use an old-school BH-5 spd at a BH-UTT stick to see if it fixes the problems that the intel 865 and 875 chipsets can't do high speeds with this RAM.
I need a 256mb BH-5 single-sided spd proferably Kingston or another high overclocking BH-5 brand. I see a lot of spd's but no users have specified if they are single-sided or double-sided sticks.
Can someone please posts a 100% confirmed single-sided spd or can say which spd that has been posted already is single-sided?
Thanks ;)
Alex, it doesn't matter if the sticks are SS or DS, the SPD is the same; you can use any 256MB BH-5 SPD posted here, any of them will work just fine.
And by the way, SPD can make a difference in max clocks only with motherboards that don't have full options for setting the RAM timings or when you are using "Auto" settings. If you are manually setting all the timings, the SPD won't make any difference.
Edit: i've used Corsair 3200LL SPD on a 256MB single-sided BH-5 module i have made, and it works OK.
you wellcome :) I havent got a clue.. but it was interesting, I give them 3,7v on the window, it was -10C, the mem was icecold, and everything was fine, but after this shutdown, and restart doesn't work as befor.. :stick:Quote:

here it is..
Hi!
I have four sticks, two are mushkin blue (is bh-utt) and the others Gskill gh (bh-utt too), my problem is that i'd like to use the best module of each set, i mean, my best mushkin module and my best Gskill at the same time (like dual channel, since in reality are the "same" chip) but the problem is the spd because are diferent, mushkin is 2-3-3 and Gskill is 2-2-2 and if i put the sticks together i only get beeps from my motherboard, with this method can i flash one of them, for example mushkin with gksill gh spd?
Yeah you can do it, but AFAIK Mushkin Blue is CH-UTT ;).
resurect your ram? that is truly amazing, thanks for the tip! :D
Hi i have a pair of mushkin black level II pc3500 bh-5, and one of the sticks shows nothing at all when they are in dim slots no mather wich, one shows good and runs good at 278mhz on 3,7v, i can have both sticks in dimslots and all boots fine but when i check cpuz only one stick are there.
question is the one that there no showing compleatley dead or is there any way to bring it back to life again ????
Try if taiphoon detects it.Quote:

no, taiphoon and cpuz dont detect at all, must mean it´s totally dead or am i wrong???
If neither cpuz/or thaipoon cant find the mem/spd there is something wrong.. Try other motherboards hopefully they will work!
ok will test that on my second rigg nf7-S ver 2.0 it.s my only that can take ddr sticks, i've just sold my rdx200 board, i'll report how's it goes..
nothing happens att all just beeping when the bad stick is in slot, i tested all slots, as i did on my ultra-d i think it's compleatley dead:(
we got the same problem today.
BUT WE GOT THE MEM BACK UP AND RUNNINGGGGG:toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

I have 2x512mb OCZ EL Platinum Rev. 2 (TCCD) and I've been seeing performance degradation for no apparent reason for the last 6 months. It's to the point where I can't boot into windows with a CL of 2.5 or 3 anymore; it'll only accept 2. I tried to rewrite the dump with the dump posted here but there's no improvements. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to get it to work?
Hi Guys,
Anyone have the dump file for Geil One ES and Geil One S ???
Thanks :worship: :worship: :worship:
i had to get my old AMD rig out with an abit AT7, because my sticks wouldnt show. when i used it in my p4c800 it wouldnt post and in my intel shuttle it gave memory beeps.Quote:

I don´t know, what happend to them, I bought them used (but dead, what I realized to late).
And now, nothing more to loose I used the file from my OCZ Gold VX PC3200.
Result: they boot after a CmosClear with 2,6 V - now Prime running and testing
Funny: they are still programmed with 2.0-3-2-6 and shown as Mushkins
Enclosed the dumpfile from my OCZ VX...;)
i got my OCZ 2x512mb EL Platinum REv.2 @ 3.1Voltage and its not overclockig anymore beyond 220Fsb and i cant run CL-2.5 or 3 because i overvoltage it..
so does that program will fix my problem?? will the OCZ REV.2 will be able to overclock agian @ 300FSB??
if so.....then its miracle
Strange, did it again and now my Mushkins are OCZ, and also the SPD-timings were rewrite...
From originally 2.0-3-2-6 now to 3.0-3-3-8 and the DFI ist booting with 2,6 V. At the first trial it worked, but after removing and put it in again into the slots the RAM didn´t start.
It still didn´t start from my DFI 855GME...:(
I think, the RAM has a hardware damage from to much voltage...:(
Could somebody recommend a dump-file for a CH-5-Kit with CL 2.5?
stummer... as said in the startpost.. please watch out with placing other spd's in youre mem then the original!
good job
Would anybody upload a SPD Dump from a Twinmos Pc3200 256Mb ?
It's a stick with Powerchips ( AADT )
Thanks:)
@Waus: I got you...;)
But they are damaged anyhow, so I don´t care about them.
I dumped the OCZ on the Mushkins, but didn´t work either. So I dumped back with the file in Post #1.
But they still run only with 3 V, doesn´t matter which timings @ 200 MHz.
I have a Twinmos Speed Premium BH-5 with a Mushkin LVL2 dump... Works nice... Had to do it otherwise they wouldn't work together in my DFI Ultra-D...
hy,
here are my SPD:
OCZ EB PC-4000 2x1024MB Platinum Edition (OCZ5002048EBPE-K)
For those who are interested:
I made a custom SPD-ROM for my Infineon 6-A modules (rebadged Winbond BH-6) with the optimal Winbond timings. Should work on all BH-5 or BH-6 based sticks, but no guarantee on that. ;)
For 256MB sticks:

For 512MB sticks:

I want to modify the ram's of my notebook(2x512 mb with samsung chips)! They are rated @ ddr 333 mhz, but I want to make them @ ddr 400. Can someone upload a dump from his notebook memory (ddr400, 512mb) to try?
Thanx in advance!
I need your help guys, i'm looking for a SPD from a 128MB DDR stick, no matter what chips, rating or timings; it just needs to be 128MB DDR memory. If you own such a stick and want to help a fellow overclocker in need please upload the dump here, thank you.
today, sucessfully modded my Laptop memory with the Hex-editor from CL2,5-3-3-8 to 2-2-2-5 and i enjoy the new performance
well done
oktavius can you upload the old dump 2,5-3-3-8 here? It is 512MB right? :)

Need some additional clarification before I try this:
Do I just boot with 'good' stick into Windows? Then add the 'bad' stick while it is in Windows?
I took 4 sticks of KHX3000, burned the Mushkin lvlII spd into them, they behaved better but still just arent as good as the other BH5's. But it was worth doing.
When I did it I put the bad stick in as soon as the screen came on i.e before or during POST... worked fine :D Didn't try any other way.Quote:

the strange thing is that my mushkin black level 2, boots fine on ultra-d but thats the board that can boot with it have tried several of mb and the just beeping , but when they are in ultra-d it boots fine but taiphoon just read one stick att org spd, will try it later with my new sapphire pure board an se if it can find the bad on that board, have'n give up theese stick because the where very fast and the living stick just do about 280+ with 3,7v vdimm.
pleas some comments..
Sorry to ask, ignore if you feel it's noobish.
1.Assuming you have a speed-binned bh-5 module. Does programming it with a different dump remove that 'limit' ?
2. Say from your kit, you have a weaker and stronger stick. I presume copying the one from the better stick into the weaker one does help right ?
3.And let's say that my module does 265Mhz 2-2-2-5. Does programming it with a dump from from a memory that does 275Mhz 2-2-2-5 help in the performance of your ram ? Or is it the IC and PCB that comes into play over limiting the peformance of the ram itself ?
*All these provided that dumping a different type of memory does work on the ram itself.
**Anyway, thanks to Waus-mod ! I'll be trying to get my Corsair Bh-5s up to standard [hopefully] once i get the full rig to test :D

The answers are as simple as that. The SPD-ROM can't change the limit of the hardware itself. If the chips' limit is, let's say, ~260Mhz, then programming the SPD might change something if it includes weaker timings, but it won't change anything concerning the max. overclock if it doesn't change any timings. The SPD_ROM just includes info about the RAM sticks and the timings it needs, nothing magical about it.
oh ok thanks alot ! =D.Quote:

The problem is that the taiphoon doesnt see the bad mem it's invisible it find's only the good mem the other bad stick is like it's invisible and i'ts only on my DFI U-D that i can boot with both sticks in. and i have saved a dump from the good mem and the spd is ok on that, it's just that the bad one dont show up. :(
so it only sees the good spd or both?
yes only the good one,and only on my DFI U-d board on other boards it's only beeping when i try to boot with them in the slots very strange i think..:confused:Quote:

Thaiphoon Burner is the first known software that provides the easiest way to edit and flash SPD of RAM in Windows without using any additional hardware components! The second version supports 8 new Intel ICH7 series peripheral controllers, nVidia nForce 3 250GB and MCP55 controllers. In addition, Thaiphoon features an enhanced HEX Editor that enables to move the cursor by arrow keypad.
Was wondering if anyone had a dump for Mushkin EM3200 (PC3200) 1GB stick running 3-3-3-8 @ 200MHz.
I am running three sticks of ram on my NF7-S, two of which are OCZ UTT 512's and the third a gig of PQI turbo. They run together on the latest Abit bios at 200 mhz with 7-3-3-2 timings. They will not run any other speed without errors, even 201 mhz.
The timings on the OCZ were not matched to the stickers on the ram.It is marked 7-3-3-2.5 but the spd says 8-4-4-2.5. The PQI Turbo's SPD is 5-2-3-2. I am aware that the fastest timings on an NF2 are 7-3-3 and all sticks are capable of diong that up to 216 on their own at default voltage. I am thinking that the vast difference in SPD's are keeping them from going past 200 together.
Do you think that flashing all of them to an SPD with the same timings would allow them to run better together and pass the 200 mhz barrier?
people. you still need to watch out with re-programming youre spd with other spd's then original. There are second spd's that you CAN'T reprogram but still work! this can coz problems, where i dont want to be responsable for!
It is not uncommon for the SPD timings to be more lax than what the ram is capable of running in order to increase the compatibility with more motherboards. You first boot at the more relaxed timings per the SPD, then you adjust them through the BIOS to the more aggressively rated timings. I don't think this should be a concern for you.Quote:

i've got 2x512 Twinmos AA4T CH5
they run 255 2-3-2-5 with good alpha timings
but there is a problem with them ..
my pc doesn't want to boot with them everytime (DFI gives me 3 red leds error)
sometimes it will turn on ... usually after a long wait before pushing power button (around 30minutes) .. then i can do every thing (they run normaly as allways at 2-3-2-5-1T rock stable) accept powering down my machine ... 'cause they will not boot again :/
both stick act like they were dead on other motherboards :(
when i stick them in yellow slots and some good ram in orange slots, system boots up perfectly but doesn't see those AA4T sticks .. however CPU-Z can read SPD from every stick...
http://chaos.dracopc.com/pub/ch-5_problem.png
i tried to reprogram spd with thaipoon .. but after reboot they are like they where before .. :(
anybody can help me?
p.s: sorry for my english
Which VDimm do you set?
I have a pair of defect Mushkin Redlines here, the show similar thing, the don´t boot most of the time, need more VDimm to wake up.
Do you run your DFI with 2 x 512 and 2 x 256?
i set vdim 3.3v + 0.03Quote:
