I know with Promise you could create raid0 sets without harming a raided disk set if it was made with the same promise controller and you made sure to set the interleave the same as it's set on the current raid0... I think default is 32bytes on most... but as I said, both the NVraid and SI controllers like to create a fresh file system from the start when you setup raid... the new SI controller with raid5 might be different, but BE SURE to backup as I have serious doubts about being able to migrate your raid0 set to the new mobo...Quote:

Ditto. I also got a Opteron 180 S939 coming from Newegg that day as well. It should be a fun weekend.Quote:

I don't know how the clock-to-clock comparison will go.
Can someone please post the revision of these "defective" (i.e. "CPU Killer") DFI Expert BIOS? The reason I am asking this is check and see if Monarch's stock (or any other vendor) is not affected or not.
Thanks.

I haven't heard of that yet, are you sure
That's also news to me, but according to the previous posts, it seems so.Quote:

When we finally do hear from our friend wwm, no one really cares to thank him for keeping us in the shade and asking the ultimate question?
So wwd I lest ask you the most kind of you...urm..how many chippies did you fry to get these benches that we have waited 4 long?
certainly not enough to open a macdonalds, but my guess would be a few!:slap:

wwm - anxious to see the MSI K8N Diamond Plus test. Do you already have one?
Hi,
I wonder if you could help me tweak my SLI-DR Expert BIOS since i just got this board and i'm not used to this board yet.
I have a 4000+ Clawhammer, SLI-DR Expert board, and a pair of Corsair 4400C25PT/TCCD sticks (2x512m).
Could you help me with some bios settings/screenshots with that config?
Right now am running it on auto, 1:1 fsb/ldt ratio @ 270MHz and it's memtest stable, but it fails windows install. Can i get some more out of it?
Thanks a lot!
PS: The system is watercooled (Antarctica + 2xBlackIce Pro+120mm Akasa)
Anyone tried using speedfan v425 with an Opty and Expert ??, every time I try to use it my 'puter reboots
Yeah, this is common. A possible work around is here, but I haven't tried it.
No one else running this mobo?
i got mine, but i have a venice and crappy TCCD, so i cant do much of any overclocking..
I am, and it's "Hands Down" the best board I've ever owned...........Quote:

I, for one, will not be waiting for you to elaborate on it, since you'll probably pull the same crap again and leave us hanging.:nono:

Let me tell you a joke:
"A man leaves his home village and goes to town to study. After his studies are over, he starts a small business and begins earning decent money, and he starts sending money to people in his village. In a short time, his income is good enough that he can afford to send everyone in his village $100 as a Christmas present. Everything's fine, the villagers are happy and proud of their neighbour, until one year when the man sends the usual present together with a note. In the note the man said that his two kids are grown now and he has to send them to school, so he didn't afford to send $100 to each person in the village, so he sent only $50. When hearing this, the villagers said: >>Hey, he's sending his kids at school on OUR money<<" :(
Same case here, wwm has brought a serious contribution with his reports to the overclocking community, you must learn to appreciate that. You cannot demand a service that was offered for free to begin with, it's wwm's choice if he will present more details on his progress or not.
You seem to miss the point completely, why are you an wwm apologist :confused:Quote:

To All:
As far as WWM being here or not on this thread, get off his back! He is under no obligation to do ANYTHING on these forums. Take his preview for what its worth and move on. He owes none of you a thing. He doesn't work for you.
Man, some folks never cease to amaze:rolleyes:

Get the board yourself and test it.
