anyone know/ have an idea about the projected price of the board?
Board will probably cost about $200 to $250>.
you mean it will be MORE expensive than the NVidia solution in addition to being so late to the market? I guess ATI really wants some unsold paperweights.
Wasn't there an article on the inquirer that said xfire boards would be 5% cheaper than sli boards?
I'm betting it will be $200 or less... Probably priced very close to the sli-dr.Quote:

Will there be an Ultra-D like board?
no crossfire mod tho.. regular chipsets like a GF4 core, so no bridges.Quote:

I don't know if it has been answered before, i didn't have the patience to go trough all the 9 pages of this topic, but here it goes:Quote:

The NF4 has a linear voltage regulator, wich means more heat, less efficiency but cleaner voltage output (at least 2 times cleaner). Out of the two, the linear regulator is a better choice, IF you find a way to dissipate all the extra heat. It is also a little cheaper to build and takes less board space.
In conclusion, this board won't have any overheating/stability problem like the ones met on the NF4 when using the 5V jumper, but it is POSSIBLE to see a LITTLE lower memory clocks or worse timings.
the NF4 may be cleaner, but lacks stability... which has more impact, in the end...Quote:

Most likely. Bring on stability and 3.3+ vdimm. :toast:
could sli be used on this board, as it can on gigabytes crossfire board(claimed by gigabyte)?
so, when is this thing coming out?
In one of the DFI threads it was explained that the newest revision of the SLI NF4 has the same power regualtor setup now as the upcoming DFI Crossfire board.
I guess i will jump on whichever one ships first. I have a feeling the Saphire board will be the most expensive though.
This motherboard was demonstrated in Japan.

(These pages are Japanese only)
And it is said that it would come out in September.
where can we get the latest rev dfi nf4 boards?
I haven't seen it yet. I don't think it's available so far
Rumors from inq says DFI will hit very soon.
But that might be long anyway.
My old OCZ powerstream 420W has the 8 pin connector on it. Boy am i excited to get that board. :D
PS. I want to get something straight. There are 2 board coming out , correct ? One is the RDX200 chip and the other is the second revision of the current NF4 line ?
i think so turbo div
my 520 powerstream has 8 pin too weeee im glad to use dual 12v line source for cpu powa!!!!
________
No2 vaporizer reviews
i might get the nforce 4 version tho it looks the same but just nvidia chip. im not really into sli or xfire but like the most fun/overclockable mobo hehe

my seasonic S12 has the 8pin.............................................. .......
:YIPPIE:
Guys, the 8 pin connector has only +12V and GND wires; instead you can use the ATX12V 4pin connector that's apparently missing: it fits right in and does the job.
Exactly :)Quote:

You guys worry too much $55 36A 12V rail with 24 pin and 8 pin..http://www.newegg.com/OldVersion/app...182-010&DEPA=0
there are people with PCPC 510s without the stupid 8pin. I wonder how much they will charge to modify it.
I could make a fortune ;) , but then those with any sense would just buy a 4 to 8 pin adaptor  :)Quote:

save my 650W Silverstone SLI PSU with 8pin for RDX200 and use 510W PC Powercooling for DFI NF4 :DQuote:

Dude, it's on the previous page: you can plug in that 8 pin connector the 4pin ATX12V connector that you can find on any PSU ... you don't need any adaptor for that.
OHHH Eva, if only you knew what was coming round the corner ;)Quote:

will this board support raid 1+0?
Of course
This would be a given, as we are not about to see DFI self-destruct by releasing an un-overclockable (heh, a new word) motherboard.Quote:

And how much will Nintek Australia be selling them for when the time is now?
According to the Overclockers of Australia sponsor thread, it can't be far away now http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=395592
Well Anandtech only got 302Mhz HTT wich is not very impressive, but then again they got just 318Mhz on the DFI nF4, even if it has been proven many times this board could do 400+Mhz pretty easy (seen 500+Mhz).
Nintek just listed on their webbie as well fart man (sounds weird.. but oh well)Quote:

hopefully they pull a good deal again.. heh i'm gonna get myself one :D
when is it likely to be available in the uk?
soon I should imagine (hope) probably coincide with x900 launch or what ever it is called.
The inq says "No ATI Crossfire before the R520? "
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=24289
Sounds like another long delay coming from ATI.Why hold off for so long to release the mortherboards for R520 even if the yeilds are not so great, most buyers will start to loose interest by then.
I guess they want to avoid the vapourware X800 fiasco this time.
I like to consider myself a very patient m8, but I have to admit my patience for ATI Crossfire is starting to slip...
It's been 10 weeks since the press releases showing a working crossfire setup at Computex 05 and speculation then was a July release, then it became August, and now "ATI officials" want us to wait another month into September? :slapass: Sorry, I'll go NF4 before I'll do that...
...maybe ATI will have their ducks in row next chipset... if there is a next chipset.
I've been hearing "early September" for quite some time now.
I know what you mean ATI must of had some big problems for it be deleayed I just hope it is worth it.Quote:

I can't wait for NinTek to get stock of this board. The DFi RDX200-DR is going to be the backbone of my next major upgrade :D
Nice link psy^, you'll just have to wait till september. :(
Yes, but I'm sure that system is running the demo drivers, the ones that render every odd frame rather than true crossfire.Quote:

That's just like a SLI-D only it's for Crossfire and costs twice as much, right? Is there anyone NOT on drugs there, that's the competition they're putting out for SLI ?
they probably have like 5 or so on hand, supply and demand. they probably dont really have it in stock.
BUMP
This thread needs more attention. September is half over, so I hope we see this board SOON!!!!
Do you think there will be some step up program through DFI to upgrade a SLI-DR to the CF-DR for some extra money because I really do not want to pay another $150-160 for the CF motherboard and have to sell my SLI-DR on eBay or something.
doubtful
So, does anyone know the final price of the new board?
Some people said around $160, but I don't think that is correct.
around 220-240 euros [ insider info ]
for currency conversions --> www.xe.org
wow, $270 for that motherboard!!! Holy     that is expensive. Well I guess I will just wait a few months before purchasing one of these
As someone else said its all about supply. Once this mobo is out is mass availability, it will not be much(if any) more expensive than the SLi-DR when it was released, and the price will drop as time goes on.
here in italy the pre orders is at 218 euros taxed :woot:
http://www.tecnocomputer.it/prodotti...tocategoria=49
i wonder if the performances of this mobo can be better than my sli-dr in oc
if it does imma sell my sli-dr :D
What will be the difference between the CF-DR and the CF-BT except the coloring?
The CF-DR is not available and almost 3 months late, same for the CF-BT. No differences there :)
lol memory voltage up to 4V :slobber:
Ok , finaly in Germany can pre-oder this mobo . So i have a quetion for DFI Rep : Does this mobo can adjust Vtt like the Sapphire board ? And how's about the NF4 Expert ?
The only reason I might consider buying one of these, is the nasty VTT drop issues on at least some DFI nF4 boards (apparently, mine as well), for which no simple solutions, which could be done with basic vmodding/soldering skills, are known yet. For discussions on them, see the Xtreme Motherboard Vmods section.
Looks to me like they are using the ati designed gruper power design, so the 4v shouldnt require a jumper, and aughta be pretty solid atleast... :)Quote:

Didn't see anyone post this yet but if you want to be informed as soon as they come in at ZZF, here is the link. The board is kinda spendy though. Even more so than the SLI-DR Expert, I "ordered" at NCIX.com.
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=246500
Kind of costly? that is kind of like saying Mike kind of got carpel tunnel from Hustler kind of...Quote:

So that is where I got that from? :D
The definition of spendy is proportional to the depth of ones pockets though. To some that might not be too bad but too most that is a little steep. Just bare in mind though that is pre-release pricing. Who knows by the time it comes out it COULD drop.

Cheers :/ :toast:
I figure if you have the money for it, you have the money for a half descent case to put it in.. OR atleast mount it ontop your case... :PQuote:

What is this? Collectors edition? :stick:
The ATI southbridge doesn't support it. The ULI 157X those however so many manufacturers has chosen to use that for the crossfireboards instead. Like MSI.Quote:
