Also keep in mind that Dothan is running with AGP 4X way less than half the bandwidth and yes, LESS MHz than the FX-55 and wayyyyyy less than the P4. It also sells for less than half the other two, what else is there to compare for games? This is at 2.53 533MHz FSB or about the same as a NW-B. I was just as impressed seeing the stock results.
Dewd, these little tiny coolers, 25W power draw under load (so they say), low latency, smart core and this thing rocks. Now it took me a while to get on the Dothan wagon but hey, I'm there. Just by costs alone, even if the Dothan was slightly slower, it makes it a much better deal than A64-FX or P4EE, as well as any processor from AMD or Intel that cost more than $400 or slower ones that cost more than $250. Why? They'd get blown away anyway.
Now, were these the absolute best scores for the Athlon64 FX-55? Maybe not, but were they they that far off?
