I had a similar problem so had to rma both the board and cpu, got a new cpu and Neo2 and now theres not problems so far. It might be the cpu, the funny thing for me is that i could boot/post just using dimm3 (single channel).Quote:

I just went through something very similar on Mon/Tuesday of this week. Turns out my 4 pin 12V power connector was in, but not all the way, til it clicked. Once i did that, no problem.Quote:

Got my new board here is this morning, it's a
K0411xxxxxx :D
with a
0442A2 Korea chip :toast:
Which is the better chip, Taiwan or Korea - or are they both as good as each other?...
Cinders.
Nice, should clock well for you as my 0440A2 Taiwan is doing really well.Quote:

Mine has this one and just wondering if it is any good or not and how far other ppl have gone with that.
Looks like anchient chip to me... week 3 ?! :p:
Thats must be one of the early chips produced. Are you having any troubles running your system?Quote:

In terms of overclocking must be the cpu on-die mem controller as usual.
Using PQI mems with TCCD chips, had ballistix using Micron chips but it was not overclocking as good as with the PQI's :) (wouldn't do more than 245fsb's no matter what multiplier etc.)
Are you able to complete Super_pi 32Mb pass at 278HTT 1:1?Quote:

I can run 32mb SuperPi at 272x9.
Hell, don't know what is going on here... yesterday it was running fine prime95 at 272x9, i tried today to run prime and it stoped after 50mins... then when i tried to restart it, it failed within 10 mins... neither could run superPi 32mb's... WTF?!
Think i've had enough with all that 64bit s**hit i'm going back to 32bit enough is enough.
just looked and it seems i have a 0409A2 orwoteva they r called.... gah i want my chip!!!
probably asked 1milllion billion times but is this a good chip (09A2) will i get 270HTT? :D or is there loads of problems..
Dynno what the hell is going on guys, i've dropped the AGP voltage down to 1.5 (was 1.65 before) and set the mem to 2.65 (was 2.6 before) and now it is priming... please somebody take me to the nuthouse!!! :D
your psu is probably not powerful enuff, lowering the AGP has allowed more volts (stable) to ur Vdimm (memory) and just made the whole thing stable.
My psu is a Enermax 475W Noisetaker, measured on the rails:
3.3v -> 3.38v
5.0v -> 5.12v
12.0v -> 12.18v
I've measured them with a digital multimeter... don't you think they are fine at full load? ;)
Edit1: might be some kind of mobo voltage drop though.
Edit2: prime just failed after 1 hour...
finally i'm soon able to start with my every year hardware update of case-x-treme (yeah kinda w00t name i know :banana4: )
my msi is an k0411 0440cd
not tested yet...1 GB Kingston KHX 3200 BH5 and OCZ Booster laying around here...i really need a processor...hope a 3000+ winchester will work under the -today buyed- prometeia mach I @ r507...
really looking forward for pics and results...but as i told you before...i need a processor first :(
which is better for overclocking?

hey, mine is K0411... what is so great with this board?
does anyone know?
tnx
Me too! My board's number is also K0411, but with the best pair of Gskill 1GB kit I tried, I can only reach 285MHz sync?Quote:

All are at 2.5-3-3-7
And I've tried 2.5-4-4-8, only few MHz improvements
