I just hope all the sticks that are purchaseable hold up this well. It's been stated 250 is easy but anything over is a maybe. With my luck I will get the 250 spot on and nothing more.
Do any of you beta testers have an NFII board to test with? I know the chipset on those boards don't hold up as well with dual sticks but still curious. I don't have a A64 setup until DFI comes out with their 939 board but would like to get these sticks to use on my LPB board until then. When I get the board and cpu in the new year I will already the ram if it can hold up in my current system until then.
Well this is getting interesting. Just 3.35V and that was memtested for 30mins

Nice single channel scores there!
is that 1x512 or 2x256?
do i remember you saying there wasnt a 256mb part? or was that just me ?
let's seeQuote:

j/k but close enough :D
Wow, very impressive. 267 stable 2-2-2. My gosh. I hope my sticks can do that when I get them.
Steve, do you think most sticks should be able to reproduce what you posted?
FYI, 30 mins memtest I wouldn't call stable... but an indicator of what they are capable of doingQuote:

hey someone form ocz:
most places sell R2 for about 550, but i saw on one site they have it for 460!
so will VX be cheaper? its not in any of the places listed on the ocz site
I don't understand why is 30min not good enough???
some people I see prime stable for like 48 hrs or a week or month.
at what point has a ram been tested long enough??? Heat will max out at a certain amount of time.
overnight running std test OR test 5 is stable
prime, well, i dont have much luck with prime. i try not to run it so it doesnt spoil my fun!
hehehe.
Test 8 is much more strenous than 5. It takes a long time to complete each pass too.
Say, pretty cool theme you have going there reject. Love how the quicklaunch is up top. Which theme is this?
Damn that's funny George! And...mostly true. I think Ryan already has my left nut,lol (j/k) ;)Quote:

My regular memtest procedure http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=6 that i used for BH-5 ram (above 3 pics) and all my memory.. 30 mins :p:
heeeeey.....when they will be out for sale at on-line shops?????? I can't wait any more....
Great results guy's. I was not expecting them to run so well.
damn, sucks I was late on requesting these. Would have loved to play with them on my systems. Oh well.
Nice results, very impressive... Tom Holck showed what these chips are able to do, wonder if 300 2-2-2-x will be possible...
maybe with 5v.
I bet some japanese will try it with LN2 Cooling...Quote:

anything around 3.3v+ on BH should be cooled but you know what? I have heard nothing about these chips being cooled in any of the posts. Do these chips hold up better to excessive heat with no worries or are they too a priority to be cooled?
i will ask again.....when they ill be ready for sale???
I am using an XP90 right now which is blowing air right down onto the Dimms and they are staying very cool at 3.6V...Quote:

as for the booster breaking? I am hearing nothing but about these breaking, with extra cooling or not. Makes me wonder if I should even get one.

Ok.. Ran some Benchies at 265x10... same as before But I used 3.6V.. This seems to be the sweet spot for my system (Until I get my Phase change fixed)..
Note: 3Dmark01 was run with a stock Ati saphire X800 pro (no overclocking)..
wow, very impressive. 28k. I can't get a single bit over 23k with my setup. I cant wait to get a 939 setup with this ram. If I could clear 30k with my X800XT I would be exstatic.
is this ram going to be released in 2x256 variety as well?

Hi
Has anyone found somewhere here in England that's going to stock them?
I might have missed this somewhere in the thread, and appologies if I have, but what do these act like at lower voltages, say 2.9v ?
Cheers
Oli
Think Winbond BH memory...it doesn't do much at low volts...Quote:

my bh6 does 235-240 on 2.9vQuote:

@ 3.3v vdimm
dimm 1 module looping test #5 = 28C
dimm 3 module looping test #5 = 30C (dimm3 has always run hotter for my P4C800-E boards)

dimm 1 module looping test #5 = 30.4C
dimm 3 module looping test #5 = 34.9C
Highest temp i've seen is 34.9C and that was on dimm 3 slot which is always hotter than any other dimm slot on my P4C800-E
Without cooling, easily see 38-44C at 3.3v
sorry ocz i was going to wait but mushkin re-released their BH-5 lvII memory so i got some of that, impulse took control of me :(
OCZ should make a cooling device to go over modules like the one Abit made for that dumb Fat1lity board
this thread moves fast :D
Got a hdd, will hopefully have time to set it up tomarrow and complete the benches I started yesterday :D
thank you ;)Quote:

I think I maybe limited by the onboard memory controller of the processor... I'm going to see how I get on with this memory - I might RMA my CPU in 6 months time and hopefully get a newer week one... My current one is week 41.Quote:

shame on you Steve, your not using OCZMemtest!
Can you do the same using 2x512 dual?Quote:

Ill bench using one 256meg stick if I get a higher 3dmark score, and I do..
Depends on what your after, high benches or usefull PC.
I allways stick another stick of ram in once im done with 3dmark.
I run my PC with 512mb all the time. I have the option to run 768 (3x256) but the system is fater with 512 and bigger overclock, certainly no slower anyway.
Maybe once I move to a fater graphics card ill notice more of a difference as I will be able to use bigger textures.

Running one 512 for 3dmark would definately be better than two (for single channel 754 that is) your FX needs 2 sticks for dual channel.
I could still run it single-channel with one Dimm at a much higher FSB though... Can't I?...
Max FSB on intel RIG 2*512 with 3,4 volts???
i'm gonna order a pair of GB
OMG amazing memory
OCZ >>>>>
Aye - Roll on Wednesday when it's in stock!
3.35V as before. My CPU doesn't run well with 2 sticks of ram no matter what I use I can't get over 250FSB with a gig of ram. But as you saw nutcase was able to do 270 with 2x512 2-2-2- timings :)
All
Well what are those chips you people think? It behaves pretty much like good old BH-5 by all means... And now Mushkin released LvlII Black series again..
Could it be that the BH-5 production back in business..?
Good work OCZ!
Insta-BAN! :D ;)
Just kidding.... joke from a few pages back. They don't want to say as someone else could copy them. You'll probably find out in due time like when mysteriously there are more voltage lovers on the market.
No It means Mushkin can use the TCCD chips to replace RMA BH-5 chips and sell the bh-5 chips for a profit.Quote:

Any idea how this stuff will compare to TCCD 280 @ 2.5, 3, 3, X to this stuff 265 @ 2, 2, 2, X? Thanks a lot.
Wow thats some amazing ram.. me wants :D
What a busy thread,
Just so you guys all know , I am trying to figure out whats wrong with the prices in europe .
ryan price in europe usually goes this way:
price in USA $ = price in EU €...but 1€ = 1.32$....so 32% higher by default + margain of resellers/pc stores
wanna know price for OCZ EL REV2 in my country SLOVENIJA?
430-440$ for a pair!!!!
can you do something about it ?
btw. it's cheaper to buy the memory from an US-online store.
I and 2 friends ordered them from excaliberpc and we have to pay about 225,- €/per person(with taxes and custom and shipment)
The strong Euro is really nice :)
There are things we can do about it , and we will .
I want to note I did find a really good store in The UK that seems to price things more reasonably
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/home/
United Kingdom have pounds no euro. If you pay things from there you have a bad exchange rate and have to pay the same costs of shipment as from USA.
btw. you get rams faster from USA
@
I don't want to displease you but that's economy - European companies are nervous, because they can't export their products (because it's to expensive in the USA), the only advantage is that imports are cheaper.
Edit:
Two year ago 1 € was just 0.88$
the US products were much more expensive
could you do a few benches with looser timings and fsb above 280 (939 dual channel please :) ?
It seems the NFII tests aren't going to happen. Perhaps someone here with an NFII who purchases these sticks could run a few tests?
i'll get them asap excalberpc gets them
hopefully they will do the same or better than your BH sticks. If so I am thinking of selling my BH-6 for these.
I will try and find a NF 2 that will handle the voltage , but try and remeber NF2 with 2x512 was never really a ram problem but instead a memory controller problem, so if you have BH-5 I am not sure upgrading to these is the right path
I will give it a whirl though
those ridiculously low dollar prices are making hardware so cheap to import now :D
i love it! :D
They don't clock higher with looser timings so there isn't much point.Quote:

Thanks a lot Ryan. I appreciate it. I understand about the chipset being limited however I am still curious. Second of all I am wanting to go 939 but am not happy with the current board selection. As soon as DFI releases their board I may jump the gun. I figured having the ram now would save me down the road as long as they can at least keep up to my 2 x 512mb kit on my current board until then. I am worried of yields changing and getting crappier chips or no chips down the road if things change.
ebuyer got one of the worst reseller ratings and reputations ever :/Quote:

hmmm just noticed.... this was on a NF3 150 board? Perhaps that has something to do with it?
Is this the voltmaster memory?
