Try placing an LED in the LN2. Good demo of low temp increase in a device that was developed at low temps and doped over time to operate at room temps.
Good job folks!!!

that's that we call xtreme
WOOW :slobber: awesome OC Guys :toast:
but IMO we dont need the more Ghz any more :) 5Ghz enough .. what the need of more speed :)
other think must keep up with this speed like
harddisk speed ; and this the most sick
ram speed
more speed with graphics card
and the chip bandwidth etc
converting to full 64bit environment
then the 6ghz would be massive :)
BTW guys its looks like we dont need the low temp anymore to get the high speed ?
its LN2 enogh or wee need more cause we get -0C and it looks like more than enough and the factor of the oc depend on the chip on it self rather than temp ? its true
:slobber:Congratulations gentlemens  :banana4:

Thats D0 stepping guys :)
This time the fsb won´t be a issue ;)
Eventhou we dont hit 6GHz benchable with this chip, 265x21 1:1 2-2-2-5 would be the new WR, since I have few previously unrevealed tweaks, that give hefty (I really mean that) boost in SuperPI :D
265 x 18 is my goal too..... :DQuote:

*A little bit of sarcasm is neede here*As this seems to be the spirit in this competition these days, I better just ask some buddies to re-write the whole superpi.exe again (wouldn't it be nice if it didn't react to calculationerrors?) :stick: Just tweak the hardware :p:
As we say in Finland:
"IN FINLAND WE HAVE THIS THING CALLED REILU MEININKI"...
Stupid me, of course 21x265 :DQuote:

If you think that it matters, we can use the original version of SuperPI (english translation).
Isn´t that fair enough, that I give my broken P4P800 board as spareparts for you (to my worst competitor) , that you can fix your broken board? If that gesture isnt thing that can be called "Reilu meininki", what is?
It´s a straight fact, that we do this just for fun.
Do you?
Now seems more like it. A tweak worth 800Mhz with P4 would seem a little too xtreme (as xtremely unfair and cheap), which particularly pissed me off :D Glad you fixed it before I said any more insults :D
With 21x265mhz it would be approximately the WR without any cheasy tweaks, so If your new toys can do it, you dont need no tweaks :toast:
For fun, for sure, and still thankful for that boards. All about misunderstanding ;)
everybody please keep it positive here...
sure, there's a bit rivalry amongst the top OC'ers... but this isn't the place to air these things out :D

Almost 200k reads .. I think Macci and The Stilt need to apply for some of FUGGERS advertising revenue
Oops.. forgot, no banners no pop ups just pure unadulterated information

Where do i get a copper tube like that? whos can u buy? i dont care how i get it but i need 1.
my frineds and i are doing a 2600M to the max and we are using liquind nitorgen and we need copper tube like that and how much wul 1 be?
grats on the oc :toast:
over 200k views... :slobber:
wowww :toast: ;)
hey TRSroller, welcome to XtremeSystems :)
post your question in the dri ice and ln2 section of this forum, im sure the people there can tell you where they get their copper tubes :)
What a goal!!
About the CPUs... are they common to find in stores of are they hard to find??
CPU's wich do that are not easy to find.
But the CPU as itself, you can buy it in good HW Shops !
Congrats!!!Team AKiba.....Simply amazing.......
It's better late than never as it's usually for me
CONGRATS, VERY AWESOME
:banana4: :YIPPIE: :banana4: :explode:
:bows::bows::bows: just amazing stuff, just amazing
were you using the ocz booster? lol j/k (ocz rocks)
they were actually...
HAHAHA that speaks wonders for ocz really. i just got my bga ram chips on mine today :DQuote:

holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, mad! an i thought my achievement of 2.7GHz with my XP-M on air was good......mine is all in its case tho an bench stable :p but still, friggin awsome! :toast:
Yes I did :DQuote:

Can u send me a step by step guide to how u overclock your machine to 6GHz. I wish to follow that setup.Quote:

Do u guys have any recommendations that is best for OC-ing? ie. Motherboard, CPU, VGA Card, cooler/heatsink?
Cheers
heh, welcome to XS manQuote:

you should read XS a lot, they used liquid nitrogen to cool the cpu, read about it in the dry ice and liquid nitrogen section
read the xtreme bandwidth section to find out about memory overclocking
have fun :toast:
Welcome to Xtreme man! Like the above there isnt just to clock it to 6ghz you need to have the right skills and cooling and other stuffs. I don't know if you already is familiar with Ln2 and such but you will need that or a cascade.
If it's bandwidth you want, you're looking at the wrong type of machine. NUMA will :slapass: thisQuote:

Ummm....wow.....maybe I'll let someone else take this one.
Good for you...why did you bump the thread with nothing relevant to say?Quote:

This thread is like 18 months old. let it die already.
It only seems like 5 minutes ago, that we broke the 1Ghz barrier... Now we laugh at that and its 6Ghz.
How long is it going to be before we laugh as sub 10Ghz PCs ?
6 Ghz is one hell of a speed no doubt about that.
Nice one.
There is no Emoticon for the large Cheesy grin Im doing right now.
This thread is 3 years old and we've already broken the 8 GHz barrier.
Though this was an amazing achievement at the time.
congrats 6ghz broken omg
damn, they dont want to let this thread die..
this was in 2004, 4 years ago..
Magic 8 has been broken aswell . :welcome:
This thread is never going to die . :D
edit:PPInDaHouse was faster.
time fly's when you have fun
Hahah I love when old dinasuars get bumped and then people start responding like the thread is from this morning :)
Holy thread resurrection.
I think it's better the let this thread die.
Therefore, thread closed.
