dont say that, he'll make us wait longer :p: :D ;)
GL with this Hipro!!
Every bit of respect I had for the problem Co. went out the window.

cool thingy
Wow... It's as if you were making a DDR booster, only everything they did wrong, you did right. And it fits in a floppy bay! :bows:
By the way - what's VTT?
VI/O or Vref
1/2 vdimm
I havent really followed this up but when will this product be shopable? aproxmitly...
vI/O... let's see - it depends on the 3.3 line (so if you mod that, vtt will go up)... most I/O devices run off of it, parallel ports, etc. How does it help in overclocking?Quote:

Good Job man!
I want 1 :D
HiPro... something entered my mind. I have feeling there will be potential price gouging wars. Is there anyway you can control it some how if there seem to be trend? I know most of time when you make cool stuff like this, you are in to profit us and yourself (well... not most of time I've seen :)) I have a feeling retailers might play too hard ball of gouging if there are only 1-2 for US.
Don't worry........I'll try that the prices will be "fixed" out there...... ;)Quote:

I hope this thing costs less than $100. I'm tired of Abit's 2.8v ceiling but I'm also tired of stupid-expensive RAM, paying an extra $100 to get more out of the not-so-stupid-expensive ram kinda defeats the purpose.
Oh but it's awesome nonetheless. Absolutely awesome, make no mistake.

i cant wait for this to hit the shelves this thing looks like a overclockers best friend :p:
does it work on DFI NF2 or not ?
Sorry if this has been asked a zillion times before, but when would you expect it to be available in the states? I'm definately interested if I can get one. :)
hi, hipro5!
Does DDR Maximizer work on a Abit ic7max3 without vtt, vdimm and vcore mods? It'll feel safer not to mod my board ... :D
If yes, is it possible to send one DDR Maximizer in Romania :D, with prepay eventually?
If you want to pre-order, PM or mail Hipro5 :toast:Quote:

Hipro, PM and I'd like to add to it that i'll also be putting it up on www.entity-project.be/gameyard then. It's our games department but I'm asking the scripter to make a hardware section so I can post my XS news there (overclocks I find here, RAM news (like TCCD going out of production) and things like your maximizer :))
BTW neat thing is, if I buy a DDR BOOSTER from OCZ here I'll pay 50 euros for it, if I get your maximizer it'll be a better bang for buck I think
Sory for the shameless kick but Hipro, I noticed you where on today, would you mind checking your PM box? I still have one message here from you that is unconfirmed :) (my message to you)
Thank in advance
I don't want to hold anybody to anything, but I was told that it would be available at retail by now. Could we have an update or something?
I want one too!! =)
it'll still be 2 weeks or something before they will hit the market, be patient people, I have to be to :)
Great news ER :banana:Quote:

I'm anciusly awaiting mine also so be patient people :p:
BTW people from belgium/netherlands (that region) can also buy them from me
great sounds like u'll be hogging the first shipment.
Nice to hear that :)Quote:

and at the moment I only buy when orderd. So I don't stock up or something :)
rest asure, there'll be enough to go around :p:
When hipro5 starts to sell these is it gonna be a pre-order/first-come-first-served system like how cathar sells his waterblocks, or is he trying to get resellers to stock them?
(Looks hardcore btw hipro5, me wants one badly ;) )
I think the ones who pre orderd will come first nomatter what but I also think he'll have enough in stock to spread the wealth :)
BTW even UK peopel can order from me :p:
I accept:
NEtherlands
belgium
france
germany
UK
Thats all I except for now :)
Ah well, didn't realise he'd already taken pre-orders ;)
But if you say theres likely to be enough to go around then thats alright, and thanks for the offer of ordering from you too, will keep that in mind.
Has hipro5 compiled a list of compatible motherboards yet, or will that be compiled once people start to recieve them?
the betatesting is in progress (and has been for a while now I believe) and I do think a motherboard compatibility list excists on hipros computer.
I'll ask him if I mail'm or maybe he'll beat me to it and respond about it here :)
i wonder if it is compatible with the new NF4 boards.
I'm really interested to see if it'll work with boards that the booster doesn't (i.e. Epox boards that use 5v line for vDimm, and some DFI boards that kill the booster).
If too many motherboard manufactures follow DFI’s lead with the NF4 boards the DDR Maximizer risks being very quickly obsolete, less of cause the DDR Maximizer delivers superior cleanness... ;)Quote:

No US? and why not? :)
Maybe because we're arseholes :p: Hipro5 told me "about three weeks" on Feb. 2nd so, while I'm sure he wasn't just blowing smoke, it's taking a little longer than planned. I wouldn't count on any estimates given until he himself posts back here.
-Luf
oh, didnt know about the preorders..
i was also told "3 weeks" but give the man time, im sure it will be well worth the wait.
Runs the Maximizer on my A8N SLI dlx?
The DDRBosster doesnt run.
greetings
I don't know about the rest of you, but I've taken matters into my own hands. Forget the Maximizer. Make way for.. the Vaporizer! :D
-Luf
Respect to Hipro5 ;) All in good fun.
lol .. nice pic
ill have 1 pre order
Rofl !

I'm wondering if you could make it low-profile... I have put giant heatsinks on my memory, and the center slot is obviously useless. Since the maximizer only uses a few pins from the DDR PCB, maybe you could make it much lower too? or just solder the wires from the floppy-bay unit directly into the DIMM slot?
picky picky arent we?
Just cant wait to get one
There're no news from hipro5 :( .
Do u have any confirmation of the hipro5's start of production on DDR maximizer? I PM'ed him, but still no answer, maybe the inbox is full ;)
like i said in the other maximizer thread, he hasnt been on since the 25th. I hope our friend is okay.
we should start a thread "Hipro5 where are u?"
Anyone got any clues how much this ram maximizer will cost.
Thanks
around 100euro, cmiiw
I've heard of IIRC and AFAIK but this is getting ridiculous. So you stumped me, what does CMIIW stand for?

I think the CE Certificates are taking longer than planned.....

yes and filters a LOT of noise out of the volt signal and provides a nice clean and stable voltage.
So it won't only help OC by giving MORE volt but also by giving CLEANER volts

I've seen some of the prelim ideas on it and just one question...
can it be made/have an extension made so that it doesn't interfere with the other slots? Maybe an optional extension ribbon as an add-on?
Gray
What exactly do you mean about that?.......To have cables that from the one side will be "free" of connector?.......Quote:

Makes it so you can use larger ramsinks and easier to adjust AND if there are issues with certain slots(like this mobo) the you can still get your booster in and use slots that you normally wouldn't...
I don't know how low profile this booster is going to be, and if it's wafer-thin, then it wouldn't be necessary, but even for the remote mounting and ease of use, I'd pay more for an extension lead...
Gray
Sorry but I still don't understand your point.......
The DDR Maximizer is a 3.5" unit and you put it into a 3.5" bay.......Some cables with connectors are pluged in the back of the Maximizer and on their other end are also pluged via a connector to the DDR PCB that plugs into a DDR slot........This DDR PCB is TOO thin......

because apparently me A78N8X-X doesn't work with the OCZ product because of the overvoltage however OCZ says 2.8 is teh limit but I'm pushing my RAM 2.9 in the Uberbios at the moment.
so will it work or not or could I "fix" the vcore monitoring/ protection with a bios flahs/mod?
[QUOTE=hipro5][B]It's OK.........I was confused for a while.......[QUOTE]
I'm confused most of the while
Should have read the WHOLE thread maybe :fact:

Gray
Mobos with Vdimm overvoltage protection is possible to work with the DDR Maximizer IF they ONLY "read" this Vdimm during post and "cut" the mobo from booting......IF afterwords just don't "pay attention" to the Vdimm, then they will work.....User can boot - lets say with the 2.8Vdimm - and then he can play within Windows......SECOND : DDR Maximizer is providing the Vdimm in a different way than the OCZ's booster so yes it's possible to work with mobos that are incopatible with the booster......Time and tests will show as.... ;)Quote:

Yes I could do that, but hell that's messy if you forget, you have to wait half hour with cmos battery out before it will reboot.Quote:
