Nice screenshot. :)
This is with the Intel Boxed Cooler. Not stable but looks nice.
Board is an IC7. The 2.4A runs much better on it then on my P4C800.

Tonight I'll try it with my watercooling rig
Are you serious? Give me some proof.Quote:

Also, that video still looks like objects are stuck on the wall. Nothing breaks or fall apart, everything is solid frozen. Tell me that video was 2 years old too please.
Come on guys, you should realy make a new thread to discuss hl2 and doom3. Besides, everyone knows hl2 will kick doom 3's ass :toast:
Those 2.4a's put out some incredible super pi #'s.
Finaly some one spoke some good words.... :toast: :toast:Quote:

Want to speak about games, open a unique post for that, all we want here is 2.4A performance.

I dunno if i would miss HT or not. Should I keep my 2.4C or go with this? chiller cooled btw
Seems like the difference won't be too incredible, especially when we are on the verge of new technology being released. It might be a good idea to wait to upgrade for a little while.
How much does your 2.4c overclocks?Quote:

This 2.4A is good for good cooling systems, cause it reach FSB between 230-245 and its good for the mems, but for crap cooling it doesn't reach higher FSB so u would loose much performance due to low memory overclock.
Air it does 3.4ghz with 1.45v. Not sure what it will do on chiller yet, probly not alot cuz multi is too low
Alot of mo 2.4c's will do 3.6 on air. Why are you only using 1.45v?
Sounds like it is pretty good.
Cuz it wont do anymore no matter what. And this keeps the heat down and my room stays cooler :p: running like this for almost a year now. I got this one in May 03 so its a early 2.4C
3.4Ghz at 1.45v is very good, mine needs 1.65v for that.
Sounds like your problem isn't the CPU.
spotted a retail 2.4A prescott @ newegg for only $149! very tempting folks
thats been there for like a month now
better to wait for 775 tejas and see what its all about.
And what if you cant afford tejas???
I think im gonna buy one of these. Any advice? Im gonna get it with a refurb is7. Sounds good?

Tejas is not the same CPU, it won't be out for a while.Quote:

no one cares? This proc is a mere 138, and with 3.6 stock, can you really go wrong?
It seems like a very good budget chip.
Sounds pretty nice if it is indeed hitting upwards of 3.6 on stock cooling.
Are there any Prescotts out there with HT? Never much gave a damn before, but since I'm setting up a server now, I might find it useful.
Looked like on the house document that, two are the same thingsQuote:

Every other prescott has ht, but I wouldn't buy them. preshots stink.Quote:
