I haven't read though the whole thread but I was wondering if the 10x and 10.5x issue was fixed in these BIOS?
i don't think so. AFAIK, d10 is the only one that works for that yet.:(
multi 10 n 10.5 issue still there... i dont know how to fix it... :toast:
and i also dont know which part off bios file .....causing this multi 10 n 10.5 issue in latest bios than D10 :(
Hey,
What are the differences between d10 b4x2/3 and 4?
I'm looking to get a bit more fsb out of my system (nf7 v2 early week, corsair 3200LL CH-5 and 1700+), currently @ 220fsb with 22 (official) bios. [also a bit more performance wouldn't hurt ;) ]
Cheers, eddie :)
n the new D22 3DaggerX
peform not as good as i'm expected
so i wont release it....
check this out:
http://downloads.modlabs.net/bios/beta/3dfire.gif
i can only use multi 8 above 220fsb ? :stick:
this is with bios 22/bk 22/3d etc etc i can use al multi's in d10 but then no OC-ed fsb is stable :S........... is this the bios or my ram/cpu/mobo
Both the BetaKing & D22 3DFire work great in my board. i find theQuote:

but @ lower fsb. my sights are set on 11x250fsb benchable! i have the chips and now i may have the mobo to do it with. THANKS GUYS! ill keep you posted.:D
3DFire to be a little more stable. I think i've pushed this board as far as i can without voltmods. It's booted @7x248fsb so i know the board is capable but so far with a multi of 11x 232fsb is the highest i've been able to bench, My prommie wont maintaine a low enough temp, So untill i get my chiller back up & running & voltmod the board ill have to be happy with 11x232fsb @1.675v.;)
Thanks tictac!!!!!!!!!!!:D
i just flashed to 3dfire. Unfortunately, still can't post above 238 and nothing is real stable above 200. So no change there.:( As for being faster, i haven't really done any benchies, but it certainly isn't any slower.:)
I've had no luck with any of the versions of BIOS 22. Right now the 14b-beta2 seems to be the winner for me. The most stable at the settings I run.
emmm... do u want me to add more command line on it?
so far
betaking have = 20
3Dfire = 25
i have another 70 commandline to put in... hehehe
should it throw everything in this bios file?:rocker: :slapass: :banana4:
@tictac - are you repeating the 'same' command?
or different ones?
yes please give us some new ones to play with. always fun.

i only repeat same command line... hehehe
if u want new 1 maybe later can throw in Abit AN7 or Aus A7N8X Deluxe but need to test it first....:toast:
would love to see one! :toast: :banana:Quote:

I have one wish. Is it possible to add an option in BIOS to enable or disable POST beep over AC97 onboard soundcard? This option is available on all Epox main boards but not on Abit... It bothers me alot. Because output on my onboard soundcard is connected directly to amplifirer end stage (no preamplifier to control the volume). And you can probably imagine how a 100W RMS BEEP sounds like...
Could you check it out?
ok will check that option... too:toast:Quote:

Tictac... I am grateful for the work you have put into making these bios'es.
My card went from 218FSB to 223FSB with your d10beta4 bios(That also meant from 41secs to 39secs @ superpi 1M w/amd xp2500@2572mhz aircooled)... :)
Edit: I also have a wish, make the bios compatible with 3dmark01se, here it always crashes in the middle of the test, the program closes and I'm back to windows.
okay, i got a question.
I know a lot of peeps have been saying that the "older" boards work with d10 but the newer boards dont. My northbridge is 0311A1, i bought the board in late july. Is this considered a "newer" board or an older one?
I ask, cuz i can flash to d10 and get into windows and stuff to backflash, but it never really was as stable for me as the newer ones. Do you think the d10beta 4x4 would fix that? Would it be safe for me to use that?:toast:
I think that you can tell if it is older or newer, by the type of SocketA lever. If it is plastic that board is older, if it is metallic it is newer...
I think it is like that. But early July is probably older board.
gotcha, i have a plastic lever too. So my question about the d10 situation still stands.:)Quote:

shroom, do you have an answer to my questions in my post 18 on this page? Thanks!:toast:
i bought my mobo on august come with bios 16
n it work well ith D10 bios:toast:
I have 2 nf7-s's right now, both have plastic levers. The bad one hates the d10 bios's, all of them. The good one loves the d10 bios's. So your best bet would be to put the d22 bios and awdflash on a floppy and flash the d10 bios. For me i hadto have the bios on floppy cause onced i flash the 10 bios to the bad board I couldnt get past the "verifing dmi pool....." part of boot-up. The alt-f2 flsh method was the only way i could recover the bios. The bad board has nforce2 ultra 400 on the chipset the good one doesnt. Also the good one over volts the mem 2.9 is 3.04 while the bad one doesnt 2.9 is 2.92
hmm..on 208x11 right now(1.82vcore, 2.9vdimm, 1.7vdd, 2.5/3/3/11). It was prime stable for 1 hours and 15 minutes. That's never happened before. I just flashed to the 22 beta 4x2 and so far i like what i see. :toast: I guess i'll let it run folding overnight and see if it remains stable.
i think i hav good board coz when i set my vdimm at 2.9v in bios it will overvolt all the way up to 3.1v :D :toast:
 wow, i want that board. :slobber: Thanks again tictac for all the work!:toast:Quote:

Hey Tictac, I lost those last 2 beta's you sent me in a format. If they havent been tested already, could you send em back my way?
Can you make a BIOS that'll magically make my IDE controller stop sucking? I had to buy a PCI IDE card just to make my secondary HDD work again. Now the slave on both IDE channels onboard is broken. Yay for nVidia!
opss... sorry... i just deleted it... :slobber:Quote:

Hey guys im gonna finally flash, don't have a floppy. Can i do it via windows with that proggy, do i need to shut down all programs before flash?
Edit: §§§§ this flashing when im not soo busy.
i've found my board likes the d10 bios..
should i try both d10b2 vs d10b4?
i'm running b4 right now
highest i've gotten with this multiplier...
cpu is really topping out, RAM has some left to go IMO, it's at 5-2-2-2 with 3.3V, single channel (only have 1 stick)
wish i had set up the windows so you can see the CPU speed...
but, i'm at 10x multiplier, so 10x247 = 2470MHz.
Stang_Man
Doing very good. What bios are you using for the NF7 ?
d10b4..
seems i maxed out my ram. i'm lucky i made that 247 screenshot while i could. 247x9 = freeze just as fast as 247x10 does. going from 3.3 to 3.4vdimm doesn't help.
gonna try out some different memory that'll do 265 5-2-2-2 1:1... hopefully that works well :)
i think all of u should try precher bios... he add something in D18 bios... very good bios i would say... :toast:
i look already in his bios... there is new modul inside it.... give it a try:toast:
hey tictac, where can i find this bios?
tictac, any plans on furthur continuing the d10 series bios?
i've found it to be the best one for overclocking on my board..
maybe a d10 beta king, 3dfire, and ice?? :D
ya later... as i my NF7S rev 2.0 board still RMAQuote:

then can try build new ISA rom file and put it in bios...

wanna try modding in the strings into the NF7 bioses from the Soltek FRN2 Bios, i got both the FRN2 and the NF7-S and the FRN2 is faster with same components......
this is the FRN2 bios

ps: and if there is a way do mod in a higher vCore and vDimm into the FRN2 bios that would own :) ( i know it's probably imposible)
Can you change the bios to include higher vdimm options?
no... tested oledi... not workingQuote:

he meant using that code (like you used from DFI/Epox BIOSes before). AB, ABCD, etc. remember? May be Soltek BIOS has something else you could 'borrow'.
The actual download link is dead for the BIOS and if you go to precher's web page it redirects you back to the site that has the dead download link.Quote:
And I tried emailing preacher, but my email was returned because their hotmail account is dead also.
Anyone know where I can get a working download link to give preachers BIOS a try?

Yes this is what i meant, sorry I wasn't clearer about that.
Because with same ramm, same CPU, everything else the same my FRN2 beats my NF7-S by a little bit,
NF7 is with the 22BetaKing bios witch is the fastest on my board
Hexus Pitfast:
Barton 2401mhz @218fsb 2-3-2-11
-FRN2: 59.47sec
-NF7S: 60.02sec
Barton 2425mhz @220.5fsb 2-3-2-11
-FRN2: 58.8sec
-NF7S: 59.41sec
Sandra Mem:
Barton 2401mhz @218fsb 2-3-2-11
-FRN2: 3356/3162
-NF7S: 3332/3134
3D Mark was also a bit faster but i can't find where i wrote the results
ditto...i wanna try it tooQuote:

Hm... I'm just wondering if it's possible to mod the d10 bios and fix the HyperX compatibility issue...
now my old NF7-s is just like the DFI i am presently running.
d10beta#4 here, haven't tried any others, up to 245FSB. with the DFI timings, the bulk of the boards that were stuck at 220 to 225 will shine at higher FSB speeds with some good BH-5 goodness. methinks it will help the cherry boards get even higher FSB clockages.
thanks for the options.

there is a bandwidth drop going from 10 or 10.5 multies to the 11. For me 10.5 gets the highest.then 10, then 11.
