I dont think youd break 40k even if someone gave you a million to play around with, liquid nitrogen and todays 9800xt and athlon64 can only go so far. youd not get much above 30,000 marks and youd need to be as smart as oppainter :)

fugger maxed out his cpu and video. Macci has a much better chance though if he can get higher than the 590/450 hes at now and raise his fsb even more :D If fuggers p4ee was gonna get 30k he woulda have done it before opp beat him to the 30k race. 30k is gonna be very, very hard until the r420 comes out

If I remember correctly, I recall Fugger saying he wont change the multiplier in order to compete on even grounds and not have people cry "unfair" since how many people are lucky to have an engineering sample? Hes a good sport too. The only thing I can think of is if he can find ram thatll run 1:1 with his cpu to 4.48GHz at like 278fsb

Here you go Opp, a peek at my condensation proofing pulled back. I took these while broken down.
The hole, this is a 2 layer 1" thick faom stack (1 layer present to show you more detail) The top lexan screws down flush with the top of the block enabling the C clamp perfect positioning on the CPU with no worry of getting it wrong.

Here is another shot with the block in place (top foam missing) and you can see with enough pressure there will be no moisture around the base of the CPU socket.

Just a heads up to you guys:
With mine I used all the way up to 2.21V to get 613 stable through Car Low. So don't be too afraid of big voltage, I didn't see an improvement with memory overclocks with Mem Voltage up to 3V. Hopefully with your mem cooler you may see a result.
I could only do 594ish at 2.0V... like a lot of the guys run.

I wouldnt wait, id just hit them while they are down. waiting months for others to catch up then beating them by 100 marks is a waste and not that impressive, but a 31k run when 2nd place is 2k below you really shows your fame :) and opp's 3.2GHz is super, but is it stable enough for 3dmark? I also notice he had his 30k run at 609 core, hes up to 614 now. 625 core and 3.2GHz could be the 31k run :D

200mhz more on the cpu, 12-15 more on the ram, and 6 more on the vpu, i think that would give him 31k. ;)
im impressed way more by the radeon oc than by the fx oc. 600+ is incredible! almost a 100% oc from the original 9700 pro and its still made with 15µ!

SK8V can't give more than 2.11volt. I just have been testing for 3 hours. Feel that more volt will give me 3300-34xx The cooling can handle it, and (I think) also the FX.
Macci: Do you have 2 cascade or is it the same on CPU and GRU?
Before on a standard Prommy March I voltmodded it was going 558/452 voltmodded. 1.97/3.30 volt. The temp was going up from -36 to -32 on bench. I fell my R404 can hold sub -46 load. Hope for 600+.Quote:
