MSI GTX295, haven't had any issues yet. I'm not pushing hard clocks either though, I'm afraid of blowing up this board also :D
well it was a frustrating weekend.
This is about all i got done:

It's an accomplishment, but not quite the caliber i was hoping.
Results soon. I'll drain this tank yet...
Keep it up man:)
Here is the bulge I was talking about it..........it's getting bigger

@gunslinger
Thanks, I will take you up on that offer:up:
btw,
Happy B-Day to the "G" man:pimp:
@Brian
I see that a lot in boards where hot air reworking has been done improperly resulting in uneven heating. Also iirc that is right below the dimm's buck inductors, so i guess they might be just inordinately heating up, though I couldn't imagine that's the case.
It's certainly not a good thing.
Happy birthday Gautam! I'll splash some LN 'for the homies'.
Happy Bday Gautam :P
@Slov when will you mail out classified? I can mail out eclipse now since its useless for my 920
Thanks everyone :)
check out Deanzo's recent super-efficient AM3 runs
Sorry guys,
cpu can't even bench 05 at 4.8 and now my 295 is condensed out of its mind. i'm tired and i have actual work to do. I'll katch up when i get a new chip.
Starting LN2 runs with Xeon 3540 so far I've had it up to 5.5GHz while just seeing where the BCLK crashes. Odd thing is the system restarts now after I get past -88'C so I'm guessing I need more volt on vtt or something. What voltages do you guys typically have set for vcore & vtt for say a 5.2GHz run?
Try 1.55v to start and go easy on vtt (like +200) until you actually need it, and then inch it up slowly. Seems like most d0's run into issues past 1.5-1.55, so if you're beyond that, you might be overdoing it.
Just a few Dinos , just a few :ROTF:.
Jamie i need yor help bro , you got PM.
Angelo.
Team is currently locked at 24 members and I am not sure we are going to take on much more. Maybe if guys leave they can be replaced with new members. I really like our group and from an overclocking perspectivem, our team is deadly efficient from an overclocker/team total point ratio. Thats cool :)
lol
I have a couple days of vacation and decided to help PURE team with PURE HW points :D Hope 75 litters of LN will help me gather 200+ hw points with all of "old" GPU's I have. This is a small part of hardware I have :D

But cant find water blocks within all of this stuff :(
Good luck brother! Looks like you've got some great stuff brewing.
Today it just occured to me that with the random EEPROM and random POST looping from 69/C1 my problem may have been a case of dead/dying/error-ing hypers.
IT WAS *SMACK*. Popped in my kit of DJ-E and i was able to bench 05 fine at 4.8, 1.4v. ONCE. Then I tuned 295 to my 1.24v sweet spot got ready to find some serious gpu clocks, went to refill my thermoses and find
I'm out of LN2. Drained 230L to find out that my hypers are dead.
Go Nazar go bro go :D , Good Luck.
@ Julian , and i thought me and Jamie were official hardware killers lol , i imagine you running 1.85v on those elpidas ? or more ? :shakes:
Hopefully by this weekend i will have some free time , a full LN2 Dewar and i will engage PCMar05 with my Acards and SSDs for some hwbot damage + 3Ds
benchies , knock on wood that everything hopefully will survive this time  , i have been killing hardware on my last LN2 benching :shakes:. I just got finish talking to Jamie on the Phone and he really have killed lots of hardware lately  , bad luck with his Elpidas Hypers too. Lets pray to the overclocking Gods for mercy and let live our hardware longer :ROTF:.
Angelo.
2.05v actually...:D
KP should better watch his back, I heard there's a Greek coming very close :D
Go get 'em Nazar!! :D:up:

I love it! :D Thanx for your hard work too
@Nazar good luck on the HW points buddy I'm watching ya.
We have som serious team strategy discussions comign up very soon guys.
Trench time
Seems I have killed my Classified  CPU dropped into the socket and crushed few pins
A magnifying glass and tweezers will fix that thing, I've done the same as you.
How can you drop a CPU onto the socket? O_o
Here is my trick. Get a mechanical pencil (the kind with refillable lead) and empty the lead from the tip. The tip is the perfect size to fit onto a socket pin and straighten it. Ive had success at least
ahh ... Intel LGA pins ... are sensitive. I rather call'em springs.
Anyway, I did a couple of surgeries and -
- a magnifying glass (a nice clear one) - it's handy, I used it to check on the results in detail although I was able to work on the pins without it
- the magic tools in my case were two needles with one having a bent (twisted, curved ... ) tip - IMO better and with steady fingers more precise than the pencil method
// can I post here although I ain't a ''pirate''??
I've fixed an MSI P45 Platinum before RMAing it using a Stanley blade :ROTF:
My secret weapons for bending pins are watchmaker screwdrivers and a steady hand :)
Just got a sweet deal on New Fluke 52-II. Deal was even better if I bought two. I don't need two so if anyone on the team needs one I will sell it for $175 shipped US. International members will need to cover the extra cost of shipping please. My Xeon W3540 doesn't seem to like me so I will try to throw up some numbers with an i7 950.
Best things for fixing LGA sockets are Push Pins, Razor Blades and Exacto Knives. I fix probably 4-6 sockets a day with them. Dont even need a magnifying glass anymore.
Thanks guys! My secret weapon is to bring the mobo to professionals :D Now it works fine.
BTW pushed today 4x4870 and took all the golden cups for 03-05-06-vantage. Something wrong with ORB, cant submit 03 and 06 :(
3x8800 ultras and 2x9600gt tommorow :D
Mine Classified died last week, wish it was just a bent pin. Won't respond to pwr/rst/clrcmos buttons :(
triple 8800Ultra would be a lot of fun, good luck!
After long time I come to this section and a very good surprise. Good going everyone!!
Always, keep pushing :D
PURE marketing??????

Well done guys:D
congrats for the 1st place
20K next goal
Do you guys travel around the country benching? It seems like the hub for public benching is Las Vegas. The only major city I'm near is Chicago, and I haven't heard of any benching activity coming from there. If you guys do travel near Wisconsin, I'd love to see you guys... maybe pick up a few tips and help with some monkey-work.
