Brilliant as always my friend Vince, nice cnc mill too. :D
Hopefully I get a chance to go up to Michigan and watch the magic happen, assuming I'd be invited. ;)
First I thought I have been sniffing too much LN2 and LHe during the weekend in Las Vegas when I saw the results but.. no, seems like Detroit has been busy during the last week and the results are nothing less than expected. That +P4xk is truly amazing, good job guys.
PS. Kingpin, your new lab/shop looks very good, congrats
Way to go Vince, Peter, Gautam, and Andre...thanks for the great read, great pictures, and amazing scores. Peter, I can hardly wait to play with that board...great work on that!
Looking forward to the website Vince, it will be a great development in your growing pot 'business'.
Wow what results. 860l thats grazy :D
Respect!

Back home finally...
Detroit is a beautiful place with the snow, really liked going out to the backyard of Machine shop and see the sun and snow like Deep Freeze :D
Much Thanks once again to Vince and co, for such a memorable Benching Trip
Hope you had a pleasant flight. :) (Well, as pleasant as an intercontinental flight can get!)
Don't think he needed it though after all that intense benching. :D
P.S. The snow is only beautiful if you don't have to shovel the crap.
Congrats on 40K+ simply amazing.
Any 3 x 285 testing coming up?
We thought about it just not enough time. GTX285 might have it's place though in some Marks :D
Sham got to meet "The Boss" up close and personal :)
http://overclockingpin.com/boss.jpg
Gotta love that dog man :D
oh dear that dog is scary
you'd have to keep it well away from me if i every come over lol
i'm already :banana::banana::banana: scared of that beast :D
LOL at that dog!! mean man that! my cat can give it a go though ;)
NO lol... 295 is two gtx 260's on 55nm with more cores and performs slightly better than two gtx 260's in SLI, and performs worse than two regular gtx 280's in SLI...
The gtx 285 core performs about 10% better than 280 and clocks alot higher, 3ghz on the mem's on aircooling. There's no doubt 3x285 performs better than 2x 295's...
Looks to me that 3-way scales better than quad on vantage if these results are accurate :)
http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforc...w--3way-sli/22
yeah tri sli seems to scale alot better for sure than sli'd 295's will be nice to see if this does in fact hold true in the weeks ahead :)
lol the competition called "Dogfather" has ended, we have the winner
3 GTX285's Tri SLI will pretty much scale the same as 3 GTX 280's Tri SLI. Remember GTX 285's clocks are higher than GTX280's clocks. But most of us who bench clock our GTX 280's to, and beyond what the GTX 285's clocks are. When both of these cards are clocked the same they perform pretty much the same. Unless voltmods or extreme cold allows the GTX 285's to reach levels no GTX 280 could, I doubt we will be seeing many surpassed GTX 280 TRI SLI scores.
Great Results Vince.
Amazing scores   :bows:
Oh my Vince, that is a nice CNC Mill :) that would have set you back a pretty penny!
Very nice benches! keep up the hard core clocking!
"The Boss" is a big softy...don't let the photos fool you :D
Yes... and LMK...gotta meet Jody, and certainly Andrew Yang as well. :D
nice n clean, very nice bench lab!
torches placed handy too :D
hey i wanna see before and after pics of the bench lab hehehe :D
sounds like you guys had fun...
hey vince, do you program that cnc using that interface or can it be programmed via serial or usb etc?
nice colors sheme on the new board btw, black and red is really a sweet combo :D
I hope you dont ruin it with a weird heatsink like dfi! :P
so when we will se new containers ? :D
what software does that cnc take/use?
DXF to Gcode would be sweet :)
I believe he is using mastercam which is one of the best software for CNC.
nice scores on Hwbot vince :up:
news about new toys? may we know something more about new pot?
We are making them right now and some are starting to ship out. I would love to post a pic of them and how they work with gtx295, but it might not be that wise to do at this time. It fits ALL gpus that the 4.0 slim did, but also works with gtx295 very nicely. It does not fit 9800gx2. PM me for details man.
For a unit this size to perform nicely with gtx295 at the kind of clocks we were running in vantage Xtreme, it requires good tuning, trust me
These cards will bring a gpu unit to it's KNEES top end.
mastercam
sounds cool Vince, sure these units should be it.
the new TEK5 @ KPI edition ehe
Awe Vince...you gotta be kidding me...I just got ahold of a 9800GX2 SSC...I was planning to use my new 5.0 with it :( I figured I'd get a little practice prior to slapping onto a brand new $500 card ;) Oh well...I guess it that much more incentive to get a 295 soon :D
BTW, did you ship mine out already? :yepp:
Strong results as always, congrats.
Do you draw yourself, or someone helps you ?Quote:

Now that is looking scary Andre...
I know that asus board has the PCI-e band to run 6-way SLI if that was possible :) Maybe nvidia should release some driver for a 6-way SLI in the future.
now THAT would be scary LOL! (just imagine another GTX295 in between those two)
I hope you dont run quad on that n200 nvidia based x58 chipset I heard its not efficant at all for sli :( the 16x 16x 16x bus doesnt even beat a standard x58 at 16x 8x 8x :)
btw awsome work as alwasy vince nice machinework :)
very nice Vince...and crazy workstation:shocked:
wow, those new pots look very nice. :toast:
Any word on avilability/priceing for the tek5.0's?? Im getting very itchy to get this 295 under some cold
Mine's already on the way...but I was near the top of a long list that's growing everyday...ORDER NOW ;)
