Absolutely beautiful clamps! - pieces of art! :cheer:
I'd really like to see a chromed/SS one with a non-stealth hex screw in black - a masterpiece!
(I like the stealth screw revision as well though!)
A gun metal grey finish with a black or chromed screw could also look cool!
If the price is reasonable? and cost less than compression fittings? then this could be a good business for you - so congrat mate, to a very creative idea!
Hey Evil! c'mon spill the beans! - PLEASE!
What's the price for the O.D 5/8 clamps?
I like the GOLD one and the RED ... so nice.
GOLD clamps would look cool on ceratin mobos that have the GOLD color NB and pipes and such.
none of the pictures are showing up... is it just me?
Yes, just you.
hey guys, sorry for the super late updates
but what happened was the company i was
going with stiffed me and just stopped responding
as a whole... i dont know what happened i guess
they didnt think my business was any good.. ill
keep you guys updated as soon as something
comes up, im not giving up
thanks for all the support
cheers
You best get it patented ASAP as some places like that one who stiffed you may just steal your idea.
i may be able to patent the idea of using it as a tube sealer for water cooling parts
but the clamp itself is pretty much public domain, not sure what else i can do to
protect myself. we had an agreement prior to talking so they cant steal it from me
and they dont know what its really for besides it being a tube clamp.
edit:
unless there stalking me! :(
An Evil thread, the only time "That looks photoshoped" is not only on topic, but probably right :D.
These looks awesome Evil. If they're within my budget (once you get manufacturing straightened out again) I'll definitely be interested in picking some of them up. Not sure which I'd go with at this point though, probably either the black or chrome, although an anodized blue might work as well.
So when are these available. The Gold looks nice enough to get engaged with lol
I would be down with 26 or so in the chrome or copper once a price is figured out. I always hated worm drives and 1/2"-3/4" tubing and zip ties scares me a little.
Hope you get things sorted.
i know... but compression fittings look so cool but then so do the clamps. I was thinking if both could be incorporated even though its more like wearing an earring than a hearing aid (form not function)
No, it isn't possible...
Rice, affected by the bling disease ???
Well, when you've got two products that function equally well, the deciding factor is often bling (or cost, depends on how much you're willing to spend on luxury items [in the economic sense of the word luxury]). That being said of course, trying to combine compression fittings and clamps does seem rather pointless, but since it has no real impact on performance, if he feels it will make his computer look better, and he's willing to spend the money on it, who are we to judge.
When those are available, then I def buy some of the black ones
Wonder if they could fit a fatboy fitting to 1/2 tubing? Forgive me if it was asked before :p
gosh this is exactly what i want...
im lookin at some other fittings at a hose store..they are very nice but a little to bulkly(i think on the waterblock they wont fit..
but imma give them a shot if these arent out anytime soon..i want..10 black ones :D
Yes 5/8th please, 7/16th is still one of the most common tubing choices in any case, however I think it because ? 5/8th when pushed over 1/2 inch barbs so you might want to keep it in mind or do some testing before you make a large run....
Decided to buy at least 22 of your black chrome clamps for 1/2 ID 3/4 OD tubing to my casemod o.o
I seriously hope, you get the production problems straighten out mate :)
Hmm.. I like the special gold version ones.. Think I could get laid alot if I WC'ed the GF's pc with those :p

Hey guys guess what UPDATE
ok so these are the only fittings ive got, measurements arent super accurate but it helps me and might help you guys understand what im talking about.
In a list of easiest to hardest its;
EK, DD, DTek, BP
the BP fitting is nearly impossible to get around but it will. the ID of the clamp is less then .75" so it is a bit tricky to get it on the fitting but ill fix that.
as for the seal, i havent tested it in a loop yet but from what i can tell it is looking really good
let me know what you guys think
Whoa, those actually look like real photos!
:p:
HOLY CRAP no evil the bottom one looks real, ROFL.
ROFL... there real Iandh sent me the protos yesterday hhahah
Apart from the tubing cuts looking a little too clean, I actually thought that was real at first glance...
EDIT: Oh you're an ass. :/
i get criticized for renders and i get criticized for photos.. i never win ROFL
Can we say I want some? My wormdrives work great, but something a little nicer looking wouldn't hurt!
I have primarily Dtek and EK barbs in my system, two aquaextremes on my MCR320, so I should be good on fitment.
Maybe to early to ask, but pricing?
awesome work Evil - nice to see that it has been made:up:
Beautiful job Evil! :yepp:
smexy...
Do want in green with black screws....
There is NO WAY that those are renders... they're just too real, they have to be photos...
EDIT: So after reading through the thread (great advice for anyone that doesn't want to make a fool of themselves) I see they are. Nice try evil...
...smartass :p:. You had me questioning myself for a second ;)
Oh, nice job by the way, very sexy (never thought I would hear myself say that about aluminium tubing clamps)
I don't use this one often but
lol
:spill:
^^^ I almost did that quite literally with a glass of milk.
Logic, those are pictures. We just like giving evil a hard time about it.
evil, very nice bud  If I used barbed fittings, I'd certainly look into getting a bunch but, unfortunately I don't.
nice finished product d00d! Was there any pricing on these bad boys now or???? You can PM if you can't post $ here. . .
evil and iandh, those are pretty amazing dude. Great design and great craftsmanship. How are they made? milled out of solid AL or milled as straight piece then bent? If that's asking too much then forget I ever asked, it doesn't detract from their quality.
Wow those look awesome! How do we go about ordering them? I'd take a dozen of the red one's
damn they are sexy :O
You're not tricking me with the renders again...
I'm interested in a Fuzion V1 clamp and MCW60 AIO clamp depending on the price.
 i thought i was obvious it was a photo.. i guess i can take that as a complement lol
that should be sigged... :ROTF:
 thanks.. im sure you got a few barb fittings some where :hrhr:
thanks! well discuss about pricing in the future, this has just begun
sorry i didnt respond, i must have missed it as i spent probably 3 hrs trying to PM everyone back
thanks, i will let you know as soon as i can
... i never have :(
how did you know i had one for the MCW60! i will let you know as soon as i can
Yea, I do but they're all sitting in a spare fittings tote, I wish block makers would stop including barbs. I'm not an XS Lemming that worships barbs or compressions, I travel the road of the push-in and shall continue to for quite some time...although, I do plan 1 build with some nice Koolance 3/8" x 1/2" comps. :D
Pm with pricing for a dozen in green with black screws?
Pm or email
aspire[dot]comptech[at]gmail[dot]com
PM with prices for 15 of the black ones 3/4" pls!!!
ill get you the prices as soon as i can, its too early for that right now
i don't usually like gold at all, but, i do like the looks of those, if the price is reasonable, i'll be all over those like a hobo on a ham sandwich
Out of curiousity, how are they actually made? As in, manufacturing process.
They're CNC machined on this machine:
http://www.haascnc.com/details_VMC_N...0#VMCTreeModel
so, out of a solid alu block? wow!
mmmmmm..... solid block of alu........:worship: :worship: :worship:
Looks like a great product and I'm certanly would be a purchaser of such as soon as it becomes available
So if they are made of out solid aluminum block, isn't that a lot of waste afterwards? Do you recapture the shavings and melt them down to reuse it?
With proper planning, it can be pretty efficient if 10-20 clamps is made out of a single block by positionning them so it interlock together while having enough space for a end mill. If the block is thick, you can even stack 3-4 clamps on a plane then just separate them with a saw.
If you look at the picture of the machine, you can see a funnel sticking out the side... that is fed by an auger in the bottom of the machine which feeds the chips into a catch bin. Once the shop has 500 pounds or so of chips, they call in a company that comes and buys the chips from them to take for recycling.
The final jig will be doing 20 clamps at a time... although we probably could fit 50-60 on the size of mill bed the machine has.
Ahh OK that makes sense.
I assume the reason you didn't do 50-60 at once is because the block that big cost a lot more.
I cannot wait to see them in 5/8" variety then you have a customer for 20 ;)
Yeah, we could place multiple fixtures on the bed as well, but it sort of turns into a diminishing returns thing.
Hopefully in the future, I assume evil would like to see how these 3/4" do first before any further investment. :)
wow those are very very VERY nice
nice work man those look great. do you know when the expected release date would be?
Oh 3/4" only right now... Hmm now you tempt me to get 3/4" OD tubing so I can get some of these clamps! What do you think, UV green tubing (I've come to realize dye totally sucks) and some of these snazzy clamps? :D
Is that double one for the fuzion v1 made or just singles right now?
And, do youe have any news for us evil-98 ?
Would be nice to know how long it will take until you can sell them ;)
just alittle bit...
thanks
thanks :D
dont have a eta yet but ill let everyone know asap
right now well only have singles, uv green tubing sounds awesome
not yet  but soon
http://evil98.insanity-asylum.com/co...ubeclamp16.jpg
heres another render, i mean photo
These are sexy...errr, I mean real pretty. :)
Could you give me a ballpark figure through PM? I wouldn't hold you to anything, just curious. I like these not just from a looks standpoint but froma functional standpoint. They are smoother and have less sharp edges that could potentially cut things. I know that we don't torque down clamps that hard, but those screw clamps are quite sharp.
These clamps give one piece of mind and a sense of security and look nice too. I like the chrome with black flush screw. I have all allen wrench sizes in ball driver, right angle, and t-handle so tools are not an issue.
Aww, no hope of less than $10 for a single clamp? Unless that's not what you meant by $XX+...
man im liking these clamps alot
Dont forget about me since I wanted 27 of the black ones a long time ago...I was also wondering if it is possble to make the screw red with the black clamp..
nice clamps
Wow... these are awesome....
Just need to reply, so I can get updates....
I would probably pick up about 30-40 mix of chrome and black....
Sexy stuff!!!!
Nice work!
breezyjr
man those claps look amazing..i really hope you will get those stealth one and for the fuzion produced :D
I'm going to be a nuisance :D Any ETA? even a rough one? I've decided on using at least 6 and up to 12 of these clamps and one fuzion v1 clamp
Beauties... How much do ya think they'll run for?
