I want some this morning to go with my coffee..any flavor will do!

OOPS, got some..
back later, lots to get done today!
Afternoon PIE...
You have The Collective by almost 2k points going into the last update, don't let them take your slice.
Movieman 14,931
The Collective 13,088
However, it is two of them and only one of you. :stick:
Dayum.. almost 15k huh? Shame I STILL don't have a 2nd Harper up.. or that pie would've been mine :(
It's high time for my 965 EE to arrive and hit the evap!
Isn't it wonderful how a little "PIE" can be such a great motivator?
Well, it's not really about pie. It's more about getting to Dave :D :D :D
I just hit update on all my machines just before the day ended so we'll see but they have a lot more firepower than I do..
I mean, how much can an old dual socket machine with two laptop chips do?
woulda,coulda,shoulda.. and if my Aunt had a di*ck she'd be my uncle!
Just having some fun my friend. Tomorrow I'll be back with all the other guys just looking for a smell of a piece of pie!
I want pie...... :( How do I get pie?
First you have to make a firm decision to totally hide the electric bill from your wife each month.
Second, the same with the credit card bills.
Now once you've totally lost your sanity and made those decisions give me a yell and I'll try and gently explain how to get a slab of pie.
Figure you need at least 120,000 points JUST for a tiny slice.
I mean REAL tiny.
Then figure a Q6600 quad does app 15-16,000 a day when it's JUST doing WCG and nothing else. Oh, and clocked to 3600mhz..
Now you get an idea of what's needed to get pie.
I've got the better part fo $20,000.00 in machinery here and I don't see pie except VERY rarely!
Did I scare you back into reality yet?
But not today!:p:
:hrhr: Hi pal!
yea, there's another reality.
Every guy on this team, whether one machine or one hundred, is the same in my book. We all do what we can and that varies from person to person.
The pie is for chuckles, the work matters and the many, many people on this team with just one machine are what makes it work.
They don't get talked about a lot but beleive me when I say they are appreciated a lot!
I just like stirring the pot on the race for pie, I want to see more people competeng for the top 10, the more competion we have the more points we'll generate and the more good we do racing for cures and breakthroughs.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
I want to sig that so bad, but it really shouldn't be displayed outside of WCG. :shakes:
ATM I am fourth in daily pie in Oz (after a couple of corporations) just need to catch up in XS and that should be soon as long as you guys dont get any more crunchers! :slap::slapass::para: ;)
I just added my 3rd Redback quad. Which brings me to 5 Quads and your telling me I need at least 3 more :(
lol that should be do-able seeing as another 2 quads are in the mail only thing is I had a DOA motherboard yesterday! and had to tidy up the living room.
As Movieman and others have said its the fact that you are contributing no matter how much that counts. Having pie is just for fun. But somehow I dont think we mean a meat pie! lol
I haven't added up my total GHz in a while...we should revive that thread and list active crunching GHz.
The PIE thing is just for fun, we all do our part in this battle. It is about what lives in your soul, how much you care about making a difference and then stepping up to the plate to do your part. This team has the heart and soul of a champion and we prove it everyday against the "Big Boys". Person for person no one touches us. We have our David and he leads us down the path to slay the Goliaths. XSWCG is THE Team to beat.
My Brothers can I get a Hell Yeah? :rocker:
.................................Hell Yeah!
( I don't know about the Goliaths at my age. Maybe a 6 year older whose looking the other way! )
Held them off but just..
Movieman....... 118,300
The Collective 113,773
Now here's the killer,

Friday PIE...
Ohh...somebody got the color of their name changed!!!
Morning PIE anyone?
The Collective has laced today's pie with nanobots, so come on in and chow down. Bwahahaha
Actually, we've been doing that for a while. That's why its been so quiet here lately. Before they take hold it feels like you have a mild cold, but before you know it, there are things growing out of places on your body that you didn't even know you had. Its kind of like what happens when you get older. Dave can tell you all about that.
:wasntme: :sofa:
Nanobots...ha.
Thats ok, I am a Level 70 Nutricious Rice and Level 70 DDDT (I think thats proper WOW terminology)...your Nanobots were irradicated upon entering the digestive system.
Evening PIE...
Hey, if I can have "Seven of Nine" I might just join. :hrhr:
http://www.geocities.com/westhollywo...of9/seven8.jpg
Should I send you the login and pass :D
Ahhhh! Borg! Where's the ablative armor and quantum phase torpedoes :p:
Ok ok yeah I admit it.. I used to watch all the Voyager seasons
Oh yeah! Have I got some nanoprobes for THAT drone!
A little early morning PIE...
so for those of you that get pie, specifically morning pie, is that like morning wood?
If I could afford to run everything thats in my house I could do close to 170K a day but the elec would kill me.
Just gave my buddy in Montreal my DX3600 system..The one with the 3600/2mb/800 Irwindales in it..
Would do app 7500 a day in WCG but at a cost of a solid 280W usage.
You should hear him. He loves it.
I paid $2000.00 for that MB,cpu's and memory back in August of 2005..
yea, he's a gamer and stuck a 8800GTX in it and thinks it's the nuts..
Now elec in Montreal is app 4.5 cents per KW/h so it's not a big issue up there.
Hell, I'd take machines there to run but getting them across the border is nuts now.
Last time I went up I brought him an old IBM Intellistation and came close to popping one of the canadian customs guys. Arrogant SOB and got right in my face. I told him he had a count of three to step back or I was going to plant him in the sidewalk..
yea,I started counting and he moved.. looked 22 and built like Mark Spitz..
I had 50lbs on him and looked like I did in that pic with the Northern Pike..
I think he got scared..:ROTF:
Evening PIE...
Does it matter? Pie at the end of the day and my name in the same sentence!
I'll take it no matter what the damned color is!
Oh ahh Sig.. Could you help me please.
My glasses must've fogged over.
I was looking for the Collective there but I don't see them..
:sofa:
No need to make excuses. We did respectable numbers, Just not enough to grab pie. You win some and you loose some. And we got 3 in the hole for tomorrow all ready
Edit: Hey just a mino there old man. Spit out that pie!Quote:

PIE time...
I know, that is funny..I tried to explain to a local owner of a PC store what I had at my house but you could tell from the look on his face that he thought I was full of BS..
So I unplugged Nelly and took it down there.. The look on his face was worth millions(This is before release of the Nehalems) so I didn't lose time on WCG..
Now look who has PIE today !!
congrats emuexport ! Well done
Nice emuexport :toast:
I told you guys that this one has it bad. :ROTF:
Cheers Guys!! :up::shrug::shocked:
I was just about to put it up lol!
Just wait till I get the other 2 quads up and put everything on xp64 or Vista64bit. Cos for some reason I am not getting enough points for my linux crunchers :(
I think I single handedly pushed up the 2nd hand price of Q6600's by buying 5 in two weeks lol
Somehow I dont think I will be getting a lot of pie regularly, just when updates align with the starts in the right order.
emu
BTW does this mean I can get Maroon and Xtreme Cruncher? :p:
Server 2008 x64 gets a little over 100 PPD more than Server 2008 x86, I did VM comparisons.
I am running 64bit linux but it benches slower than vista by about half.
BTW I got your message just need to find time to sort out some helpdesk support from D_A (this is the one I am using as install -xubuntu-8.10-desktop-amd64.iso )
congrats on the pie
are they 64bit versions of linux? i get a fewer points per WU in linux but it completes them much faster (1hr less for HCC @3.5ghz) so i get more units done per day and i somehow get 700-1000 BOINC ppd more if i were to stay 24/7 in linux vs Vista Ultimate 64bit
edit a lot happened while i was writing this. i agree with D_A, something is very wrong with your linux bench if its less than vista. i'm running Kubuntu 8.04 x64 and boinc bench much higher
Just a thought ... but you didn't load the 32 version of BOINC on your 64bit OS did you?
I have xubuntu on one and kubuntu on the other and Vista 64 bit on the other (on my Redbacks) all with the package from synaptics package manager.... hmmmmm maybe I need to do a manual install! Good tip D_A I'll give it a shot tomorrow. No time today :(
Sounds like I need to look into it some more
Will continue this discussion in my thread......
Still managing to hold off the collective today! :woot:
I'm not picky I'll take thirds. I mean comon its seven of nine!
If the 2 of us teaming up and pushing more people to push harder then it is a win/win
Now hit the NOS button all ready! :D
Movin' on. Somebody can have my splice.
Nice while you were here, bro. Don't be a stranger.
Thanks Rammie. Have a great holiday and hope to see you back soon.
Rammie.
Thanks for all your hard work and for helping us again. You are a good guy and we hope to see you back real soon....hint, hint. :D
