A beautiful boy, you must be proud. :D
Congrats man. You should be very proud!
Congrats bianco!
Congrats man! (imagine having a worklog for a baby. 1st post: had sex....):ROTF:
hahah! thanks a lot guys!
yes, i'm very proud of my kids. :)
i'll be bringing my wife and son home tomorrow...
will have to hold the cutting and casemod a little while longer
thanks again!!
Congratulations bianco !!!
Now get Uncle Lee Jr. to get you the tax benefit.. just kidding.
Now, just a word of advice. Park money overseas in some nice western country, like Canada or Aussie land, or somewhere even more remote like South Africa lol Definitely slip your boy out of SG before his 12th birthday, preferrably before he turns 10 years old. Otherwise, every Sunday evening, you will be driving your boy to Changi for the ferry to Pulau Tekong roflmao. Remember that the cash bond at 12 years old is SGD200K and that becomes SGD500K after 16 years old. Now, maybe your are wealthy and can pay off Uncle Lee Jr., but I wouldn't give him a penny :)
YOu will be having time to sleeve your fan wires as you stay up watching your biy sleep. Forget about sleeping for the next year :p:
Let's add "PC :banana::banana::banana:" to monotonous PC terminology; i have seen a lot of setup here at XS, seems really sexy...
thanks IanY!
hahaha. wonderful advice! been dreading the thought of sending off my son to ns. especially with quite a number of news of nsmen dying during training.
haha. yup, my wife reminded me of the shifting we used to do for my daughter. i stay up as late as i can and fulfill the feeding routine (for my daughter, last milk feeding was 3am), then i sleep and it's her turn after that. i took that because i'm better at staying up late than waking up in the middle of night or very early morning! hahah. one more year of that... and about 100ft of cable sleeves coming soon....hahah
Congratulations! Glad it all went well.
Congratulations. Now you can look forward to never sleeping again, lol. :D
thanks guys!
i am so excited to have that gothic look in my eyes!
the raccoon look will be in again... well at least in my household.
@TheGanG... you are so lucky! way past the sleepless nights phase and diaper changes with eyes closed. but i'm sure you're up to a different challenge now. hehe.
haha pare you have diaper duties to attend to...
i also had that almost 4 months ago with my 2nd baby boy...
'Tis the beginnning. Wait till you get to "But dad.." and "I don'thave to listen to you." And then it becomes "you're embarrassing me"and "you're just old." And then it branches out: "I know I'm 14, but he's just 21" and "That computer must have SLI,or how else am I going to do homework?" After that its: "dad, I need $400 for jeans" (like wtf) and "we're just going to dinner and the movies, but give me $500 just in case" (major wtf). It goes on and on. The ultimate is: "dad, that car is not cool. Its not a BMW, and Johnny has the V8 M3" :p:
2 boys, 1st nearing 2 years come january, 2nd nearing 4 months...
no, definitely not wearing that breast pad thingie in "Meet the Fockers"...
IanY, i don't think i like the sound of that exchange... lucky me its a few more years out till i have that kind of conversation with my kids...
oh man..big bro..i missed out this thread totally...awsome!!!
start this beast..get him alive and churning!!! :D:D:D
Hey Bianco,
Haven't heard from you in a while, is the new baby boy taking all your free time? :D
Well I'm writing to ask where did you buy these Microcool Core Protetors, I need them for my new board but it's been 1 month that I lurk around USA for them and can't seam to find them back in stock.
I emailed Microcool couple of weeks ago but looks like they are dead, no response.
Thanks a bunch!
hi Jor3lBR. yeah, haven't been able to do much... just planning and dreaming of the system revision. :P
i haven't seen them stocked in sidewinders too. i did some search other online shops and couldn't find any or similar chip protector.
sorry, i can't be of further help.
I was also thinking the other day... "what happened to bianco's build???" hope to see some sort of update at some point!
haha. thanks for the interest man.
don't worry, i've to finish the revision before end january next year before i move to a new home. will definitely post updates once i start on the real work. right now, i'm just waiting for some parts.
and for you my friend, some previews:

how did you find the thickness of the powdercoat? And how did you stop it from going in the screw threads?
I just got my case powdercoated while I was getting my rims done. Its a metallic color with clear. The parts all fit really tightly because of the thickness of the paint. Did you have this issue?
Nice powdercoating man, looks like they did a good job.
good to see some progress on your Tj07 Bianco!
Looking forward to some more pics
no issue with mine vinister. the coat was of manageable thickness. the screw threads were still fine and easy to screw stuff together. i didn't do any preventive measure though... but i read somewhere that you can put in screws (that you can spare) on the holes when you send for powdercoating so that the paint won't go in the threads.
thanks bro! if you need to powdercoat anything, i can share with you the contact info, it's at defu lane though. irrc, you're on the west side.
thanks dangals! nice to see familiar forumers in this thread again! :D
btw, was it you that asked how to remove the silverstone logo?
the answer is - acetone (nail polish removed)... haha

What size screws and bolts are you using to replace the rivets?
this black and red build = badass  :toast:
thanks bullydog. your nick seems familiar, sg?
i used m3 size to replace the rivets. wanted to use m4, but was a bit too big for the slimmer sections (ie backplate bracket/expansion slots).
thanks SNiiPE_DoGG. hope it turns out that way to the end, else i'd be putting the system under my desk and not on top.:D

got time?
this begs the question, did you buy the fittings for your build or to do what youve just done there?
the next step is to turn it into a fountain.....
Armored Core!
That's just sheer epicness. Wish I'd money to buy so many shineeeeys!
~Bex
Well yeah all the back left and right weapons are attached at the shoulder blade . . . but you can't do that =p. Ahh well, images were saved for awesomeness.
Could this be the beginning of BitsPower's mascot?
BITSMAN!
wow thats a lot of fitings
LOL thats a freaking EPIC robot!!!!:rofl:
looks sweeeeeeet!! :up::up::up:
I bet your arsenal of fittings costs more than some peoples fittings!
nice work
Wow awesome stuff!!! very nice job :D ;)
 Your bits robot = frakin superlative!!! I just woke up and that was virtually the first thing I saw. You've totally made my day. Also, I think you may have sparked an interest in a new hobby: Bitspower legos. haha. Good stuff.
You are one creative person.
Aha
Anyone remember BITSY? I think Malik made it. But BITSY ain't got nothing on this bad boy!
thanks MomijiTMO. also since i'm going dual loop... it would mean i have to create one more mecha. :p:
:D i don't mind sharing the pictures to bp for marketing. :D
yup, panic buying of fittings... and a bit of addiction i guess. haha.
thanks exemay. which makes me... poorer than most people. haha.
thanks D0BR0. it was fun building it.
thanks xaxis. very kind of you. :) yeah could be a new toy! my daughter has also taken into playing with the fittings whenever she sees them lying around but due to the weight of these things, i keep them in their containers most of the time.
Nothing worse than running out of that one special fitting when you need it ... I think you're covered, bianco!!! Nice Mech.
Bianco, I love it!
Now I know why I've had such a hard time sourcing some of those! :ROTF:
exactly shazza! and thanks!
all i need now is get over the peak season at my dayjob... and start devoting more time in doing more work on the project. :D
thanks Charles! :)
haha. i'm sure someone else out there was the real cause of the shortage. :p:
An orgy of excellent parts. I really like the red screws on your GPUs.
finally, was able to squeeze an update on the project. been working on something that i've been pondering about for sometime. got the idea first time from xs a build by alex of petra's tech shop and another one done by elusid, they called it paraflow. cool air goes into the front of the case and the 2 rads mounted adjacent to the intake would be exhaust. this setup would allow the cool air to be pulled between the 2 rads and hot air will be exhausted at the sides.
borrowed graphical explanation from coolmiester (in alex's build log)
but for my case, instead of using the front... i've decided to get it setup at the bottom. :D
http://www.coolercases.co.uk/para-flow/para-flow.jpg
anyways, for those with weak heart for silverstone cases being 'violated'... turn away now. :D you've been warned!
got the bitspower radgrill for this operation

Great cut :)
Very nice =) I'm glad to see someone else is using the Paraflow concept. I honestly don't see why other people don't do it. Ha you could have some MASSIVE cooling power in that case if you did a 320 in the top, two on the sides in paraflow, and then two in the bottom... it would be overkill but what the hell. Good job keeping everything clean so far, can't wait to see how it all turns out. I get a big order of parts in for my rig tomorrow (finally) so I'll be able to start my log up again as well.
*subscribed*
thanks arni
thank you elusid. the concept was quite interesting. and your idea on massive cooling power is intriguing. i'll take note of that and how things progress. :D good to hear that you'd have an update. looking forward to seeing the developments in your project as well.
Amazing job on that cutout Bianco!
I can't believe you got through 4mm of aluminum with a dremel cutoff wheel; that's fortitude!
How many wheels did you go through? :)
Bianco, I'm really looking forward to your future updates - keep up the great work!
good to see some progress in this thread again :)
thank you Charles! ditto, i've actually kept the cut piece and placed it on my desk... somewhat like a trophy for that long task! thoroughly used up discs - 10, broken/snapped/obliterated - 8. :p:
i've actually ordered the speedclic wheels, but the delivery took so long, i was finished before i could use them. :p:
that's very generous of you, appreciate it much, a compliment coming from the great master of modding :bows:
hey sb! i know it's been long... been caught up in day job stuff, was only able to work on the project a wee bit at a time... will try to do more soon. :p: thanks for dropping by. :D
looking good pare!
next time I have to cut anything I should just give it to you....:D
salamat pare! :D
haha. i'd be glad to... but wait for me to have more control on the dremel and get over my trembling hands when i cut. although, if i remember correctly... i was quite amazed with your cuts and nibbles in your 'ugly duckling' project last time before you went on to the pinnacle.
Amazing dremel work, bianco. I can't believe your hands trembled when you did these cuts - they look perfect. Also looking forward to another Paraflow project. This seems like quite a good way to go with some of the newer cases.
thank you shazza.
and yes tremble it did! trembled like crazy. i have to use my left hand to keep the right hand from going off-course. :p: anyways, i attribute the final outcome to manual filing. i guess like my drawing... i can do things better manually (with pen and paper) than with technology (damn stylus.. haha).
Subscribed!!

:eek::shocked::up::up::up:
I wish I had that kind of money haha. I'm trying to juggle college tuition, my computer, and a social life... needless to say it's rather complicated. Keep the pics coming! I want to see how your paraflow system goes =)
thanks mr.guvernment sir. need to speed up the progress! can't keep others waiting... especially me! haha.
haha. weel said xaxis and thanks! yeah, i just pity the i965 that i let go for this one, never knew the cool touch of watercooling. hopefully this new chip gets a better cooling. :)
the first 2 emoticons, my wallet's reaction. the last 3, would be me after i boot up the system the first time and see the temps and how it easily reacts to the mild overclocking. haha.
thanks shazza.
i understand you bro. came from that also. but during that time, i had to let go of the pc hobby... but then now, different challenges, but i'm just glad that my wife supports my hobby (as long as i don't forget about her and my 2 kids... and any expense is paid by me). :p:
subscribed, very good bianco
