you could always just swap the side or top fan for the front and then only use 2x 230mm fans... I would probably take off the side fan so i could see the inside better since the window is not very big.
Printable View
Ha... I cant beleave i didnt think of that, and if i wanted to still have fans on top or side i could just get 120mm ones cood call man.
anybody got more pics
Well, this was how I setup my HAF932.
http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...AF932/B005.jpg
Once my RMA comes back, I will re-route the loop and do some better cable management.
I just finished transfering all my system from my CM Stacker 832 to my new HAF 932, and all my temps are good and fine (CPU, etc), but my ATI 4870x2 is now idle at 20-25 celsius higher then in the Stacker! Stacker: 51 celsius idle, HAF 932, 75 celsius idle! WTF! And under load, it's getting toasty in there!
It's the exact same system, I only transfered everything from one case to the other, no change in drivers, nothing. I was not even using the side door fan in the Stacker. And yes I double checked all the fans in the HAF932, and everything is working fine.
:( Anyone have an idea? Core i7 920, TRUE 120, Asus P6T, etc....
And before somone ask, the Stacker will be used to build another system. :)
Compare your HAF 932 to any other case youve had. How big is the noticeable weight difference? I'm concerned because i dont want to be getting a workout in when i carry my HAF to lan parties.... ?!
Krylon flat black. drill out the rivets, paint, pop in new rivets
CM Storm : Sniper Case will be the little brother of the HAF ?
Inside they look like a little i think

Is that fatty knob the fan controll for the front fan?
Here is my setup, im waiting on the WC parts, coming monday.
Should i put a second Rad for the gpu? Or will 1 TFC 360 work for the cpu and gpu?
i got Arctic Silver 5, should it have been Ceramique?

excited to get mine in.. hopefully it comes soon!
I got mine one month ago (22/10).
This case is really amazing.A lot of room and a lot of air inside!!
Even if I max the RPM of all fans with my Akasa fan regulator, still it remains silent.
The only problem is with the bottom back screws. They need always special care in order to be set correctly.
The sniper case looks pretty nice. Very clean look to it.
Valdeam http://photo-shack.com/img/c930eecd0...cc445f708f.gif
not diggin the big fan controller at the top.. otherwise it'd be a decent case
Anyone have internal shots of the Sniper? Particularly with a mobo fitted, just wanting to know the space up there between mobo/socket + top of the case/fan.
Doesn't look like much space to me :\
How is this case for dust? I imagine it would be pretty bad with no filters and two 23cm intake fans, how have people who have this case found it for dust?
Anyone added any filters in some way?
EDIT: Side fan fit when you have a TRUE or other similar tower cooler?
I've had the case for nearly 2 months, I'm going to check for dust after 3 months, especially my TRUE :D
There is plenty of room with the side fan, case is wider than most (HAF 230mm vs Antec 900 206mm), at least 20mm clearance between fan and heatsink, I'm not entirely sure they overlap either.
I have an 8800GT + S1, clearance is also at least 20-30mm
Dust? I just bought 10$ worth of dust filters... scissors... problem gone. :) No dust.
Hi guys i don't realy post much at all out the AMD side of the forum but a few week back i move my rig over to my new HAF932 case here a couple
pic.
4 video cards, water cooling, internal radiator and still heaps of room to spare. :D
cable management is a dream in this case, my zalman zm-mfc2 sports 10 cabels on its own! this is way easier then my old gigabyte triton!:D

What size rivets do i need for the HAF? I am going to paint the inside of mine when i get it and I want to go down and get get rivets but i dont know what size i need i think they make different size rivets and i dont want to have to get like 2-3 different sizes. Or did someone put the case back together a diff way without rivets?
Ugh I keep seeing cooler master cases I like and want to get. First it was the HAF now its the ATCS 840 but that thing looks awesome too.
My HAF 932 with liquid cooling!:D
Need ideas to get better hose managment.
Thanks

You've got i920+GTX260 on one 120mm fan rad? : O How's the temps?
/edited
ah stupid me, didn't noticed the 3 fan in the 'roof' of the case :E
Nemon how much is the clearance between the rad and the mobo?? is it enough for a 38mm fan?? thanks
Got the chassi today.
really nice one.
removed the HD bay to get less restricted aircooling.
I just use 2 HD in supension so its working out for me.
Now, if I get a camera I could post some images.
Same type of question as mondo.
How much room is there between the roof of the case and the motherboard?
I've seen a push/pull setup on a top rad, but I would like to know just how much room there is.
Thanks
nice clean case Nemon. props on the paint job too!
nemon... thanks for that info... i guess i will be going for 3 38mm thick san aces at the top.... haha.. gotta say... u have a very nice and clean case too... liked the black paint u used... looks nice
I've just put all my components into my new HAF 932! My last case was a Lian Li V2000, which may be of higher build quality (well, it just is), the lay-out and features of the HAF 932 blow it away. It is so much easier to work with. :)
drilled out the rivets.
Not affecting the structure of the case, if I want I can put the bay back without any issues.
Works well.
I dont own a camera, and sister isnt coming here for photos yet, and she got a nice camera, sigh.
Like the chassi since it allows me to put everything inside it.
Good size and lot of room and cooling.
ok, thanks its good to know you can put it back in too.
if any of you guys dont use the black clips for the slot vents, lmk. im looking for some if anyone wants to sell em or get rid of em
should be 1/8" rivets
Inside of the chassi.
I havent got the time or hassle to work the psu cables properly, the 750w extra cables are a lot to move around.
Removed the HD cage.
wanted airflow, and room for pump. I use suspended harddrives which makes them siltent.
Its nice to have all my gear inside the chassi.

Nemon: Very nice WC setup. It looks really clean, unlike.. many other wc setups i see lol

Dual loops have never been easier!
Man, push the tubing onto the top rad properly. It's only half on the barbs and it's making me nervous :p:
Also, TT? *gag*
Eller
The tubes have been put on already :)
And TT for the useless part of the computer. ;)
Swapped the red LED for some blue ones :) I think it looks better.
Wow @ your cables, all outside the case :) Even the power supply isn't in it!
The system is waiting a new motherboard, everything is pulled out of the case. That is an old psu I use for numerous things, not the psu I am using for the rig.
Oh, right :D Well, I'm getting one for christmas, can't wait to set up my computer in this awesome case!!!
Great case for sure. The one cool thing about it (if you didn't know) is that you can install LEDs in the other two fans.:yepp: Because they use the same fan mold to make the fans. Also ALL THE plastic is removeable on the front panel.
How would you guys compair it to the Cosmos 1000?
Better for WCing and cable management, if I understand correctly :)
I say go for the Cololer Master ATCS 840. Don't get me wrong, I love this case.:D
The ATCS 840 is a little bigger inside and cleaner exterior look! Look Here!
My setup is on Post 230:D
I'll be getting a HAF for Christmas and plan on painting the inside flat black, but was wondering if
a) drilling the rivets out was necessary to painting the interior and
b) if I could get away with a light scuffing of the surface and paint as opposed to priming, etc.
I didnt take the rivets out, just taped around with blue painters tape after scuffing with 200 grit sand paper. worked great.
Make sure you get spray paint for metal. I used a Matte finish but semi-gloss or even gloos will look pimp :D
Now powder coating will look great. Too bad nearest shop to me is 190 miles over a snow covered pass, other wise that would have been my route.
I have a crazy urge to paint the entire thing in a black or dark grey pearl and use a combo of blue and white lighting, but for now I have neither the time or cash. Thanks for the info!
i didnt use primer on mine. just flat black spray paint
really? excellent result, the paint does not go away?
360 rad vertical front + 240 rad on top, inside. Wainting on another 240 on the bottom
Drill rivets, move cage 2cm to the inside of the case, drill new holes and put some nice screws. That's all there is to moving the hdd cage. Part of the floor of the 5.25" bays has to go too.
still some damn nice job, mate!
plain and straight......
I Love it very nice to put the tripple in front like that. Its a very nice mod cant wait to get home to start on my HAF mods you guys are inspiring me ..
I'm already have this lovely case and want to figure out the best mounting position for installing Thermochill PA 120.3 at the top because the mounting holes in this case can not match with PA 120.3. Yeah, PA 120.3 is little bigger and longer than others.
Any recommendation position with pict for installing HAF 932 with PA 120.3?
sorry to bring up an old thread but this case is so nice and simple. not to mention very well design in the drive bay area
Hi all
just joined ''HAF932 Club'' :)
here some few shots .. after paint job
http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/2...ped1ke4.th.jpg http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/7...ped2af0.th.jpg http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/7...ped1om6.th.jpg http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/7...ped1qn8.th.jpg
well but , just a quick question ...as i installed a NZXT Sentry LX Fan controller ..
Does anybody have that same controller installed ? it seems like those ''big fans'' does not allow to adjust speeds via this NZXT Sentry LX  ?
they show the speed even if i break down them by hand .. but no selectable .. have tried all ports, manual and auto mode .. all 5 fan ports ports seem to be working if only plug in some other 120 ordinary fan ( every other fan could be adjusted .. also adjustments works with HAF's 140mm rear stock fan ..
but only thes ''Big ones'' cant be adjusted or stopped via NZXT Sentry lx :(
maybe somebody have this same controller ->
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/3...ped1ze4.th.jpg
and have any ideas about this problem ?
Thank You

Happy New Year :)
Fantastic paint job i43, good cable management too.
Looks like my favorite HAF so far.
yep looks really swish, what did you use exactly ? :)
Thanks yaddam205 :)
:)
@ LuckyNV
most body parts - frame , interior ,etc was done with powder coating (black matte)
/ .. or as they use to say @shop ..'' black semy gloss''' ?//
only (side-paneles.. (..isnide) was done with ''spry bottle '' method..
and exterior was left as ..original .. factory painted ..
any way just a note !!! ( my own experience ) - HAF 's factory /original painted roof, bottom, sidepanels (exterior) cover does NOT LIKE?/(allow?} re covering with powdercoating tech.. (heating?)
so better drill off rivets, and paint them separetely ..
ok sorry thats just my opinion .. on base my experience .. well,
i hope ..YOU DO NOT WANT TO see HAPPEN THIS TO YOU -
( bottom and roof panels turned out kind of ''a crocodile,- (alien) skin bubble effect''

. take Your time and check
how Your's new paint/method works with curent components
:)

the HAF will be the bestest case ever if it comes with dust filters:shrug:
Another paint job and we are done...(almost)

the 3rd one does and it looks great
I don't know why CM didn't do this as standard and just added a little extra to the price, makes a good case even better.
1st Complaint I have about this case when you mount the power supply on the bottom they should have made the DAMN holes so you could mount the power supply upside down so the fan is pointing upwards like on the antec 1200 you can with this case my power supply fan will struggle to get air throuh the bottom.
Why Do that? It is better cause it has sufficient space from under to suck the coldest air of the case.
I got my HAF 932 at last! Here's what it looks like:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...932/HAF002.jpg
Sorry for the poor quality, my camera is giving up on me :P
im confused...what is the original front fan led color?is it red, blue, or just plain black?
The front 230mm fan is red LED
I think only RED and plain black are available
Front Fan: Red LED 230mm
Side Fan: Plain 230mm
Top Fan: Plain 230mm
^^All interchangeable
Rear Fan: Plain 140mm
...here's a couple of bad pics of my kids' new HAF that I built them for Xmas...

Is it possible to secure GPU into place with screws instead of those tool-less latches? In some cases that is possible. Are those plastic latches enough to keep GPU firmly in there?
yeah more then enough
Thanks for the quick reply ;)
Also, is this alot smaller from inside than cosmos s? I heard that with cosmos and Rampage II Extreme motherboard i would have to cut off a metal peace to make tri-sli cards fit there because of the PSU at bottom interfering with the third card. If i mounted PSU at the top with HAF, would a small fan fit there next to the PSU. Obviously the 230mm fan would need to be removed but even a small fan would be nice to exhaust some air from top. I really would like to buy this case but I need to make sure that i'm making the right choice. It's either HAF or the Cosmos S /w side window.
you could have the psu at the top and have two 120mm fans at the top aswell
Huh??? Omg are you 100% sure?? I will be getting corsair hx1000w psu. If thats true this case is absolutely awesome!!!! You just saved my day :) :)
Edit: still one concern left. How much do you actually get dust inside that thing?
as Ozzfest05 pointed out, you can mount the PSU at the top by removing the top 230mm fan, and have 2 x 120 at the bottom and maybe add one at the top.
As for dust, it doesn't have dust filters, but as of now, it seems good on my side, but I had it for a too short time to tell. Honestly, I'd say it's better than the Nine Hundred and easier to clean too. Honestly, it shouldn't be a big issue in that case.
I've had this case since Oct now, doesn't seem any dustier compared to my fully filtered CM690 (I filtered it all), not entirely sure why, maybe the dust is coming in and then back out again :D
it is a damn good case
remove the required plastic holders/latches and use bolt/screws,there shouldn't be any problem
btw that HAF's ''tool less'' system holds quite tight my current HD4870x2
on it's place , but i had to use screw on asus Fx sound card,
as cannot be installed on HAF's ''tool less '' so had to remove upper plastic holder
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/2...7846pw5.th.jpg
(You don't need to broke the plastic latches - just pull out the wire (axis) remove required plastic latches .. put back the axis .. as simple )
This case seems just so perfect!! The only downside is lack of dust filters.. My biggest concern however is the PSU 'cos i read that you have to mount it fan-side down. I don't really feel comfortable knowing that my 250€ PSU sucks in everything off my carpet. Is it really impossible to mount it fan up? Is it hard to make some kind of dust filtering there on my own?
Edit: ty for the pic i43
Thanks for your time and some great answers
