Noob question... I have a higher read and a lower latency than any of the settings posted by Enjoy, but my timings are all auto with 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V. Does this mean if I use other settings listed that I will have even better performance from my ram? I use my comp. primarily for gaming.
I'm running at 1002 now 5:6 ratio, 5-5-5-15-2T 2.1V. Best I was able to get stable was 1050 (12 hours Memtest86+). Above that, I got Memtest errors and BSOD. I backed off a bit cause my CPU was getting a bit too hot.

If you can cut your timings down to 4-4-4-12 (i've been considering doing this at 3.6 ghz instead of running 5-5-5-12 @ 3.8hz +), you should see better performance. I had some ddr2 800 crucial ballistix running at 4-3-4-10 and it was blazing fast.
I'm not sure how tight you get tune your ram at @ 3.6 ghz. If I can find the time to get 4-4-4-12 @ 3.6 ghz prime stable, I'll let you know. If you happen to do it, post it here. Currently I can't get anything past 3.6ghz prime stable. I'm guessing its something I'm doing.
Just ordered a set of mine. Can't wait to start testing on them.

You have a 50% greater CPU-frequency then Enjoy and your bandwidth and other memory tests will definitely benefit from that.

2gig dimms don't overclock as good as 1gig variants, also these are really cheap in comparison to the better overclockable Mushkins ( that cost 3ice as much) so I really wouldn't complain these deliver the goods for high FSB on a 1:1 lowering to cas 4-4-4-12 hasn't worked above 870Mhz for me, also max voltage I gave these are 2.1 volts... but they work fab at benching 1066Mhz at 2.1 voltsQuote:

How many people here are running this in conjunction with a quad (q6600 most likely)? Most of the people reporting including EnJoY seem to be running these with dual cores and chips that require higher FSB (allendale). I've noticed myselff that even getting back what I used to run 420x9, seems to be difficult in the stability department for my quad or ram or something else.
This ram appears to be awesome for the lower end dual cores in terms of high fsb ability. I'm still not sold on the quad in terms of high OC, but for the price, I can't complain at all. It does it's job, although you won't see WRs with this kit. Not that I would expect it for the price.
I just bought these for my IP35 Pro Mainboard. I opted for the 2x2GB DDR 1000 Chips.
I'm experiencing an issue though.
When I use both chips in Dimm Slots A. The system will post and boot up fine.
When I try use Dual Channel I.E - use one chip in Dimm Slot A and One in Dimm Slot B. The sytem will not post. The mainboard gives me an error code of C1.
I have selected the correct voltage in the BIOS but still this doesnt resolve my issue.
I had the same issue with some Corsair DDR2 PC6400 RAM. I don't think its the RAM.
Is this issue happening because there are too many issues when attempting to use all 4 slots or one of each?
I need to know if my board is faulty.
Please advise.

I haven't tried it at stock clocks (2.4GHz q6600), but I did drop it down to stock volts at 3GHz, and 1:1. That's the run that failed test 6 with 3 errors on pass 12 of 47. You can test it by setting the FSB @ 333 and lowering the CPU multi @ 9 so that you can run your CPU to the nearest setting to stock speed.
Then, by selecting the 1.50 divider, your RAM should run @ ~500 :)
Test it and keep us informed :)
btw, my sticks can do 5-5-5-15 @ 500 2.05v without errors, but fail @ 540,
while another member and friend of mine, Skysurfer, has his sticks running 5-5-5-15 @ 550 (1T I think) and 2.05v with no problems.
I suppose they need a bit of Prime stressing before you can get the maximum MHz out of them.
I just got these sticks last night. I am running them on an Asus P5K with a Q6600. I had no problem at all getting them working at DDR1000 5-5-5-15 with 2.0v. One thing that I thought was extremely weird was how easy to get the heatspreaders off it is on these sticks. I wasn't even planning on ever removing heatspreaders again, because about a week ago I tried removing them from my GeIL 6400 2x1GB sticks.. When I did this 3 IC's were stuck onto the heatspreaders. On this memory however, I took one of the sticks out to put it into a different slot, and the heatspreader came off while trying to remove the memory. I could easily slide the heatspreader off the second stick without using any real force. Is this common on these sticks or are mine just like this?
Anyways, I was wondering what subtimings you guys can use for DDR1000, as I am trying to tweak them and im not exactly sure how tight I should start out at. The memory seems great though, I am extremely happy that I bought these.
I wonder if my HZ's will come off........ These heatspreaders aren't worth a damn anyway. I had some supertalent pc6400's that the same thing happened. I got one side off but then when i tried the other side 2 ic's were stuck to the heatspreader. well, i ran 24+ hours of memtest on my two sticks of RAM and one of them had 3 errors during test 6 of pass 25 of 47. the other stick went over 100 passes with no errors. I'm going to have to RMA this kit... I'm not going to bother trying the other stick (that had 3 errors) at 2.4GHz
i should have done more memtest passes before I RMA'd the first kit. could have saved me time & money. lesson learned - 2-3 passes of memtest is not enough!!
the good news is that newegg just sent me my other kit which I had to RMA. I ran memtest on one stick for 12 hours without any errors. and the other stick is running now (no errors yet).
but i bought a new car 1/23 and so i'm going to go play with that all weekend and might not have time to try these recommendations for a few more days

After playing around with this ram, I can't really get anything stable over 415x9 (despite what my sig says). 7x500 will NOT get past the start up, which is pitiful.
I think if you're doing a low-end OC, its fine ram, but if you want to push your CPU, this is not the ram for the job. A lot of ddr2 800 ram is more capable than this ram. In case anyone is wondering, I ran it through 10 iterations of memtest86, all passes produced no errors.
At least I can eventually throw this ram into another system as s server. I think I'll end up looking for some new ram.

Intel C2Q does not work 24/7 stable near 500MHz FSB, forget about !
Max stable FSB is 450-470MHz maybe, but this will require some voltage tweaking.
As for those 500+ you may seen, they are screen-shot only runs, not 24/7 stable.
Set your FSB to 400, memory to 1000MHz, it will work happily.

There is little to none improvement over 2.1V for this memory.
By the way, there is a trick to increase maximum stable clock , especially for 8GB configuration, which may or may not work for given set(s) and motherboard combination. Worked for me.
First, determine the maximum stable clock for each module in single channel configuration. Use memtest86+ to test stability,
10+ passes of test 5 and 5+ passes of test 4.
Then place all modules according the rule : best inserted in the sockets closest to MCH, worst -farthest. Works best for 4 dimm setup, but may also somewhat improve overclocking for two dimms.
For two dimms, they should be placed in the farthest pair of sockets (black on ASUS boards.)

I tried to get my Gskill kit up and running @ 1081 5-5-5-15 tried up to 2.1v and I cant get it stable with HCI memtest. The board I am using is Asus Maximus Formula, for the TRCF( or sumtin) I cant choose anything higher then 42, but it reads on auto as :52. Try increasing TRRD to 5 or 6 (give both a shot), and also try increasing TRTP to 5. Try them both separately and play around with them.

@ Cronos, I've been running at these settings for over a month. Folding the whole time. Never though of it as memory intensive but I know from past computers if things start to go iffy ram wise, you will have bluescreens from a blue moon to all out galore depending how bad. Will do a memtest run and yell if anything pops up.

Well on the skill web site, these modules are not guaranteed in 8G configurations. They will take RMA's but you may have to do it a lot until you get a set.

I have found two sets which, working together, are nearly stable at 1000MHZ. Nearly, but not anyway.
All other fail fairly quickly, this pair takes many hours to fail.
Very smart of G.Skill they don't guarantee 1000MHz for 8GB.
I really need to get my hands on ASUS P5E with its famous dual-phase DIMM VRM and test stability there.

It really depends on the chipset of 680i. Some 680i cannot run 4 sticks at DDR2 800. If your has no problem up to 840mhz, I think there is no problem for 8GB to run at DDR2 800. However, since our asus and evga 680i cannot run 4sticks at DDR2 800, I am not able to verify for you

Anyone have any 1T results with this ram as of yet? I just built an IP35/E8400 combo with some Crucial Ballistix 8500 ram. Looking to move into these and start some OC'ing
but 8GB works on other motherboards at DDR2 1000.
some motherboards work but some motherboards don't
like DDR600 TCCD doesn't run at A8N-SLi but DFI works
some motherboard doesn't allow you to change FSB and memory speed, voltage. do you think we are responsible for all the motherboards on the market?

Yes they do have a point, but on the other hand they should at least post some guidelines as to which motherboards have been tested or not. This would save people a lot of grief.
Also it would be good to provide guidelines in their documentation as to how to configure it for best results on these boards.

This is on a nvidia 680i system. The bios is set at linked auto settings for the ram giving 1050 MHz with a 1400 MHz FSB.
So far so good!@!!!!
Before going "more" make sure this is working. Booting into Windows and running SPI is not really a great achievement.

First thing you always MUST be doing is memtest86+. Current version is 2.0

First pass tests 1-5, if no errors, try test 5 alone 10+ times. To iron out, pass the whole default set of tests 10+ times.
After this, try Linpack 64bit, problem size 30000, 100+ times. Good chance it will find some errors Memtest86+ missed.
P.S.
Don't forget to check the real vDIMM voltage. Many boards overvolt by default. Many ASUS boards overvolt by 0.05V.
And i wish you luck with 680i board, 680i is probably the most troublesome chipset for Intel CPUs.
