it will do just fine as Tim said
make sure you use acetone and not that metho crap
Designed for LN2 all the way, but I can't seem to keep these guys from using it with DI. If it works great how can I argue with that man??
3kgs not enough for you :D? Guess who is getting this one???
http://www.overclockingpin.com/shamino%20f1.gif
Sweet, i think Peter is going to be happy :D.
 my one doesn't say Shamino Ed. :D
i have a kitchen scale that measures up to 2.4kg so you can imagine what happened to the needle when i put this sucker on it :ROTF:
Not to forget, those cu colored springs is just so sweet...
Yeah Sham told me he is getting one of those amazing containers when I spoke to him couple of days back :P
Once again congrats to all the lucky guys!!! *Note to self: SAVE more moni*
Haha now he doesnt hafta use a tube and blow into his pot :p:
I want Andre Ed. label.:D Looks cool;)
Looking at that sham edition pic, the pot looks like it has more than enough room for DICE+acetone. About the same as the F1.
ohhhhhhhh vince, thank you so much, i love that personal touch!!! :) can't wait man, it should arrive before Chinese New Year thats a great time for benching!!
Awesome pots
Nice :D
I am already saving money for a Fr3aky edition ^^
Dual F1EE... Are you trying to hint at a Skulltrail or just both of you benching? I would love to see some Skulltrail action.
Here it is, dual F1's on Skulltrail.
Loaded with Mushkin FB-Dimms Rev-E
Results in a few hours.
Cant wait for those results.
Is it just me, or is that board flexing quite a bit? How much does one F1 weigh?
Holy crap that's a lot of copper on a single motherboard :D
Another pic
http://fugger.netfirms.com/skulltrail1.jpg
I got ....
Let it rip guys!!!!!
Any plans for triple SLI? :yepp:
Is there something in that pot or is it just a reflection?
Less rig pics, more score pics.
DI in the F1 EE? nubs.
No, seriously, :worship:...go get em.
Very cool, can't wait to see the scores.
The skulltrail, is just looking nuts...
Looking forward to see some numbers.
Keep pushing it.
Thats like 6.5lbs per pot.
Fugger, that Skulltrail is crying... 13lbs of F1!
I wonder how much a Tek9 weighs... Im sure theyre going to go for some 3dMark records with SLI or 3way SLI. That board is going to need some support.
No 3 way on this mobo. And yes thats a TON of weight, the pcb is quite huge. definitely a challenge.
Working on some 2006 SLI for the most part with this rig maybe some wprime and pcmark as well. I think for good 06 we need about dual 5.6-5.7ghz on the chips to with cards on LN2. 11,700 cpu score at 5.2ghz :D. Should be in the low-mid 12ks 5.6+. There are some cold issues to work around, though were not to far from 5.6ghz stability in 06.
Sounds good Vince and Charles 11.7k in cpu score is just nuts and more to come...
Keep pushing it!
Just in time for Super Bowl. Let see two new world records today!!
Heh Heh Heh. I figured that the set backs from the FB Dimms would make it impossible for Skulltrail to take the WR from even the 780i much less once they launch 790i so this is very interesting. You guys going to have some scores up today or are you taking a break for the Bowl game?
No problems with FB Dimms, not even an issue. Stability wise, the board is fine, just need more vcore.
Looks promising!!!!!
Well one WR didn't happen yesterday. Did you guys get any results?
What a start to this year :)
Waiting for more & more records, Vince and Charles :)
Better watch what comes out of SWEDEN in the near future then :D
http://www.overclockingpin.com/kinc%20edition%20f1.jpg
NICE!!! You charging extra to personalize the boxes? LOL
Got a chance to use the F1 EE during my ln² session yesterday and I'm stunned by the performance ... pouring ln² is just way too easy :D
Awesome work Vince! All that time with the prototypes getting it right is paying off for you and others.
INTERNAL PICS OF F1 Ex.Ed. BELOW
http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/5674/img2286ug4.jpg
hehehehehehe maybe not :D
it's really a great visual seeing LN2 drops dancing around at the base of the pot :D
it's a true masterpiece. It has great mass yet it's also able to provide temps swings on demand.......the way the bottom "works/guzzles" LN2 is incredible >> it's very difficult to explain but i can see what the big fuss was about ;)
it was also very interesting seeing how much more LN2 your classic bullet two piece pot like Kayl rev 3 uses compared to F1........
we benched with Skulltrail setup with F1EE pot on one CPU and kayl rev 3 on the other......i managed F1EE temps and i would get it to the temp required and just splash a little so often.....where kayl pot needed constant supervision. Kayl pot is actually pretty good as well....i can only imagine how earlier revisions would have acted....you leave these pots for 20 seconds and F1EE only loses a few degrees...the other pots it another 10C warmer easily already. It absorbs the load great and holds it........if you need a quick 5C jump NO PROBLEM AT ALL......now i am talking about a jump in a few seconds here fellas and it sits....honestly i reckon vince must have sat there looking at the changeover to first CPU test on '06 and then drop to 3D again in last test thinking how do i "create" the fast response
well he got it ;) :)
i do need some practice though as i was getting some splashbacks because i didn't want to use any extensions but straight pot styro cup fills
http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/7728/19547870lq9.jpg
we benched both QX9775 and E8500 and to be honest i really didn't notice the QX being any harder to manage at all :D
maybe my E8500 is just as hot lol haha but it was easy going

hah nice one there.. for pics :D
Good going sir :)
can anyone tell me the price of thouse babies?
Dino so the the money was WEll worth, cant wait to use mine just way to busy atm.
How did the EE handle the dice?
Nice pics by the way :)
How much do these go for? They look amazing. And how much does LN2 cost? It isn't available in the caribbean:(
Great pictures, dinos22. :)
Would those units work on an AM2 board? Also, who do you have to know/contact to get one of those?
Waiting on mine.....sheesh I hope it gets here by this Friday.....give me a reason to refill the dewar!
FX-57 - FX62 was all LN2 for me
Yes this bracket has AM2 mounting. Wish I had the F1 back when I had my 4ghz FX57 cpu :D
We worked for 4-5 hours on Saturday and got the pots insulated and the board condensate proofed and insulated. We mounted the NB/SB/mosfet blocks as well. Anyway...here's some copper pr0n to look at:
Look ma they're nakey!! The F1 and Tek 9's pre insulation:

The pots mounted on the 780i board: (still have to put the sleeve on the F1)

OMG that makes me weep it is so nice looking
Kingpin, I sent you an pm asking how much one of these costs.
Philly NICe set up mate .... cant wait to see ur results.
nice philly
now you need a yorkfield :D
I want the results NOW!
Don't I wish that could actually work lol
It is really sexy. Great job!
lol you can bin my P4 :p
look what came yesterday :D
Thanks Vince! :)

Check out the lovely "HOT MAMA" alu extension for shoving more dice in the thick!
http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/4...89largegk6.jpg
WooHoo! First tests on dice this weekend then ln2 soon!
hahah nice one dude :)
haha thanks bro :) how's urs doing?
Did everybodies come with Alu top? Or did you ask for that special?
haha yea i asked for it but vince came up with the idea and the design and such :) excellent work if u notice the quality of the alu extension as well.
not everyone can always afford ln2 so.. yep Deanzo :D we're doing it right :D haha!
LOL deanzo. I really can't stop these guys from DI'ing it can I! Prolly sending the wrong message with a bit like the one I sent NR eh??
ALU ext is prototype part I have played with since first F1 went out. Decided not to include it with the unit, as most guys didn't want it and the ext. is really just for DI which the unit is technically not designed for :D
ah Vince i got some feedback for ya already. check ur pm :)
Sweet extension Vince...
Your f1s are just growing and growing...
Keep creating them...
Congrats NR :D
Waiting for some amazing numbers soon ;)
Vince, those pots are just beautiful! Fantastic results too :)
Finally, I had a chance to try the beauties :)

Very nice pots.
I'm glad to see someone has moved away from the standard 'tall pot' design.
standard tall pot design hasnt been standard now for over a year.
Since the advent of copper bases with alu extensions.
great results nazar and nice pots

Sorry vince frigging lousy cpu i got here so no good scores yet. ln2 is this weekend with a betta cpu thanks to my friend T_M :)
88gts i got here is not too bad at all. 1120/2920/1100 on just dice. ln2 this weekend :)

Nice pics raven
How did the F1 go under dice?
hi nightraven i'm interestet on seeing temperatures of the 88 gts please
Congrats NR :)
That is a killer GTS you have there ;)
haha F1 went as it was said to under dice. its really similiar to ln2 with load holding and things like tt. idle at 1.3V i got the 9650 at -78 degrees. thats like the temp of dice or nearly there!
under load at 5ghz and 1.95v the temps go to -63 idle. didnt take note of load as i didn have probe for this :D no point! will have for ln2 :)
Big thanks goes out to the main man for making this great F1 LN2 pot, it just holds the temps without any problems at all once down to temperature and only needing very small amounts of LN2 top up to maintain any temperature required.
Hats off to you Vince on providing us all with an outstand bit of kit that we can all use and compete on the same level.
Regards
Sacha
hi
nice job ....can i pick your brain.....how long does dice or Ln last in there pots when being used to Oc ?...does a lid make it last longer under load .....would a thicker base raise the temp from -125 to say -30 ....if the thicker base does raise the temp how long would the dice/Ln last.....
sorry for so many Q's im just very interested is all.....again thanks and nice job
I could not tell you how long dice last as i dont use this for cooling, what i can say is where outher pots i have used for LN2 cooling come up on there temp by 1c or 2c every second this F1 pot only moves up by .1c every second making it very easy to control the pots temp.
Very excited and waiting for mine to show up !!!
Vince, I have to say that I'm truly amazed by the F1 EE! I worked with Marcus/Kinc last week at The Gathering and this is the first pot in my experience that it's possible to recover temperature during the 06 CPU-test, even running at 5.7GHz and 1.95vcore. I'm really impressed!
Here are some ice love pictures
