I ordered on the 24th, they shipped it on the 27th at 10AM, but I didn't get the invoice until about 8PM.
How long it takes depends on which warehouse they send the order to, and which warehouse will also effect your chance of G0 or B3.
This palce http://www.antaresdigital.com/customer/home.php has a specific product number for the G0 which is about $20 more than the B3 but I've never heard of this place.
They have phone numbers listed in their FAQ here.
just got mine in today, 2 days early. From NCIXUS, standard ground shipping 19$.
pic below with my trusty glock 19 in foreground:D

This is the same company as NCIX, just run under a different name. :)
BTW I walked into ncix and picked one up. I have had nothing but trouble getting this chip to run bug free on my p5w dh, commando or, evga 690i. (All run great with my e6600). Random lockups, blue screens, missing hard drives, very slow memory performance, etc, etc.
Damn, you would think that a nice stable bios would have been ready at launch.....Geez.

Cashing in while they can under a new name? So it's possible to separate G0's from B3's afterall. Hilarious :-)
Yup.Quote:
Same here, ordered July 25 from NCIX, and according to the tracking info I am getting a B3. Smart of them to ship out some new G0's and get everyone talking, then ship out the B3's after they get a ton of orders.
They are a small site but pretty reputable. I bought a Asus P5W in August of last year from them. Never heard of them either but they were located in Edison NJ and I live in West Windsor NJ (30min drive). Had them ship to my college address and it worked out pretty well. Still $310 for a G0, looking for <$300.
 @ the Glock 19. I always wanted one but thanks to my limited budged had to settle for a Ruger P95.
I own a Ruger p95 DC aswell, very nice gun. in fact one of the best 9mm pistols for under 400 dollars. built like a tank
glock 10?
yeah the glock 19 is a very nice, compact arm.
Looking to get a glock 23 next year. Would like a glock 18(select fire) but they are nearly impossible to obtain. They are legal in neveda though, just pricey..
anyway! i may have killed this thread
Nevermind Clint. Most of the time we Europeans just can't understand the need to have weapons all around you. It's an all American thing. You don't really need to understand.
Weapons are a sign of weakness anyway, IMHO. If you can't compete using your brain, mouth and fists, then you have got to let the bullets speak.
But that's just my :2cents: .
And now, please get back to topic and stop the gun-talk. It's about Intel G0-Stepping Quadcores if I'm not mistaking. So please talk about that. ;)
Guns???? Whatcha gonna do with that? Don't you guys realize that once you make that decission you cannot take it back? Boy are todays youth mislead! One thing you never want in you're life is to live with knowing that you took another human beings life!!! Get a Baseball Bat instead....stilll very effective:D
This Should be Clint's favorite gun...S&W 44Mag:D
I ended up with a B3 from zzf, im not really trippin though cuz i just wanted a quad core, and i have 3 systems here to put quads in. Hopefully the nest 2 will be g0's.
and about the guns? why does a pic of a gun bother you people?
and calling someone a :banana::banana::banana::banana: for owning a gun?
i tell ya what i am a :banana::banana::banana::banana: and if you scare me bad enough i will KILL YOU!!!
guns are what made this country (america), and it is every citizens right to own them. Just cuz we own guns doesnt mean we cant still kick yer ass with our fists.
**/end of rant
anyways back to q6600 like i said i recieved a L712A B3 thats running 3g at the moment.
~BBA
Wait for someone to confirm if this is true, but OCUK are selling two different Q6600's, one of which is the 'Energy Efficient' version which I believe is the G0. As I said though, I don't know this for sure.
12 quid difference in price though. :(
Regular Q6600
Possible G0 Q6600
Yup its true but no stock has arrived YET, I don't know anywhere to find one in the UK
Now this is a gun... :D
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/2986/phalanxsw1.jpg
Come on... this is Xtreme Systems, where no Glock with a stock 15 round mag is allowed, only 33 round G18 mags are considered the norm here. Get wit' the program! :p:
Wow, the cart works at DirectCanada now too!!
Any chance we can keep the thread *ON TOPIC*???
Tankguys billed for Q6600 G0.Maybe they will ship tomorrow:clap: .
Is there any G0 Stepping of the quad that do international shipping?
Screenshots screenshots!
kramerific,Forsaken, the last official thing I saw posted was that they expect to get the chips in by this Friday (8/03) and that they will ship the following Monday. I guess it is possible that they have gotten some/all in earlier and will be shipping out this week. At the moment i still haven't decided on a board (striker/evga 680i, p5k premium/asus blitz formula) so I am not too worried as to if it will be early this week or early next week. I dont like switching to a consumer level chipset (p35) but it appears to be clocking better hten the 680i's in most cases (though some have gotten 400/450+ fsb with the 680i's so who knows).
Same here, I'm thinking of waiting for the x38 chipset to come out which I heard should be out late next month. I would like the clocking capabilities of the P5K DLX but with SLI. Any thoughts people? Oh yeah and I'll be getting my Q6600 (G0) from Tank Guys soon as I was 35th on a list of few hundred. :D
Bought one from Scan.co.uk, should be here wednesday, *fingers crossed*
As someone who was born and grew up in Europe but lived in the US for 12 years now i can try to answer that for you. Yes a lot of americans have an obsession with guns and I dont understand it (I know a few people who own 10+ firearms). But you have to remember that wildlife is everywhere here (deer run through my back yard sometimes and I am only 20 miles from Washington D.C. and its jungle of suburbs). Many people hunt, which requires guns, and this alone changes the whole society's perception about guns and they are not even thought of as instuments of death, but tools such a hammer or a knife. As for pistols, while I have one (ruger p95), I would give it up in a minute if everyone gave them up. Sadly, too many people already have them and there is no going back, and in many violent cities in the US (violence you can't find in any European city, Baltimore MD 30 miles away has 2-3 murders daily) if you don't have a gun for protection you are putting yourself at risk IMO. The whole thing about using your fists and head doesn' really help when thugs with automatics break into your home. We could maybe reverse course if the whole country made an effort to do so, but too many people equate guns with freedom and any politician who tries to implement gun control on a wide level gets crucified. Sorry about the rant, I'm bored waiting for my G0 to arrive.
It's absolutely useless to discuss this topic here.
No good news yet on the G0s, but here's a status update
for those who are looking around.
I just called ClubIT because I saw that their web site
had gone from 'out of stock' to 'in stock' status on the
Q6600; they confirmed they do NOT have G0s, and
HAVE NOT YET had any, but they're willing to take
preorders specifically for guaranteed G0 parts
via phone and a waiting list.
They say they're expecting them in sometime before
or during the first part of August.
Why don't buy a Q6700 instead? Definitely a G0
-tam2-
Exactly. I'm after the best compute power for the dollar.
If two dual core machines were significantly cheaper
than one quad, I'd do that.
It's a shame that nobody seems to have commonly
available at attractive prices cases that hold two
ATX motherboards and PSUs, or a single motherboard
that'll take two S775 CPUs and two sets of 4 sticks
of RAM.
Yeah they have server stuff like that but usually it's
several hundred dollars more than just buying a
couple of desktops would be. Doh.
man i have given up searching and waiting i think i will have to go the e6850 route
I'd be very surprised if by Friday of this week you
don't see several retailers selling guaranteed, in stock
G0s for $280 to $305.
Most everyplace has started getting at least some G0s
in, and most places that are out of stock are expecting
more within the next 4 days which will likely be
90% G0 parts for every retailer that restocks.
You can do the TankGuys thing for $299 + shipping
guaranteed G0 delivered by the start of the 2nd week
in August, not a bad deal at all.
Or do the ClubIt G0 preorder for $295 shipped.
I'm sure in another week some places will even be
down to $280 to $290 with G0s.
A bit more patient, there will be G0 everywhere soon anyway.
My second order got the Q6600 got a G0, from the same store.
New stock keep coming out, just matter of time, those B3 will be gone.....
Place an order tonight at directcanada.ca because of this:
http://www.directcanada.com/products...ufacture=INTEL
(notice the ***SHIPPING SLACR STEPPINGS ONLY***)
for 330$ cdn...not that bad.. needed a mobo so I choose the P5K premium as it was cheaper than NCIX...so for relatively the same price for my order, I'm sure I'll get the G0 stepping.
I with ya on that one dude...I have had that confrontation before and it was fun spanking that boys a$$.
Guess I should add that I am still up in the air over whether the G0 is really anything special. Except for xtremetiramsu (sp?) I haven't seen anything earth shattering when it comes to these chips. At the end of the day it is a crap shoot a to whether one will get a clocker.
^^^ agreed, i will play the waiting game for the G0, and wait for more people to post results, and prices to stabilize.
*sigh* tankguys ETA has been pushed back to 8/10+ :/
There must be a good reason, they are standup guys
I got a preorder at ClubIT for the G0 on the 20th I believe.. Got in for $280 shipped. I called 10 minutes ago, and they still have no word on them yet, despite going out of stock, then changing the status back to "in stock". Whatever that means. Hopefully they start shipping in the next couple weeks...
Wow! Still not many results from actual 'G0' Q6600's yet. I'm still in line @ tankguys (#359 i think). We'll see. I can totally wait as i have to wait for the weekends for any chip swapping anyway.
I think I saw a message that said they were expecting
more G0's in the shipment than they had preorders,
the figure of more than 450 comes to mind from
a thread I read at one of these places:
http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...thread-33.html
http://www.overclock.net/pre-sales/2...q6600s-21.html
Though I think they said it'd take them more than 1 day
to box the orders up and ship them when they do come
in, so I'm guessing anyone who's last on the list may
take a day or two longer, but probably won't have to
wait for re-stocking.
Same situation here.
Funny thing is that I read online several days ago that
someone called in a preorder and said they were #24 on
the preorder list.
Yesterday several days after I read that,
I called and preordered and they said I was around
#24 on the list... unchanged from what the other guy
said several days before so that seems strange unless
virtually nobody has been preordering there over the past
few days.
Hopefully they get G0s soon.
Tankguys sent an email today saying that they though the august 3rd shipment might be a little late and that they might not go out on the 6th (they are now saying the 9th or the 10th, though it could be faster or a little slower). Basically nothing can be said until they actually have the chips. Hopefully it will be soon.
is NCIX still sending both steppings?
I ordered one on 7/27 from NCIX, my second one actually, first one is bad B3....
Order pocked on 7/28 PM, received today, a good G0. It seems still lots of people getting G0 from NCIX. But may be just because only those got G0 surface to post, the others were just too busy cursing, like my first B3......
bamboo.
What was the batch of your B3 you got?
I got a B3 from NCIX also. L712A200
did you test your B3? how high did it go?
Emmett
Ok now I'm annoyed; ClubIT is losing credibility
with me. When I pre-ordered a G0 a couple of
days ago on the 30th the rep. told me there were
~25 standing preorders, and that they'd NEVER yet gotten in a G0 Q6600.
I asked if it was their standard practice to actually
physically receive / manage their stock of CPUs
when CPU orders were fulfilled, and that's how
they'd be able to tell when they got in G0
CPUs, and guarantee their shipment to people.
The rep. said yes, that's how they did it.
Now I find out that someone on another forum
ordered 6 CPUs from them on the 25th without
specially requesting any stepping and they got
5 G0 Q6600s and 1 B3 Q6600.
So obviously they *have* gotten in G0s in
the past contrary to what I was told.
If they weren't even aware they'd sold them
in the recent past (during which time people
HAD existing unfulfilled G0 specific preorders),
this leads me to question whether they even
physically receive / look at their ordered CPUs,
which also raises the question how they plan
to guarantee a G0 for the people who *do*
have G0 preorders. I suppose if they just sit
on the G0 preorders for a week or more they're
almost guaranteed to sell G0s since by that time
the supply of B3 will be dried up, but this is NOT
the plan/technique they led me to believe would
occur.
Has anyone recently ordered a Q6600 CPU from
ClubIT and received it? If so, what did you get,
when did you order, and did you express any
preference for one stepping or the other?
Q6600 B3

3.6ghz with 1.44v real, load temps 60C
Why bother hunting for GO when you get a B3 like this one.
That's a very nice B3 speed.
I'm personally not so sure that the G0 is
a huge overclock speed improvement over B3
(though every bit helps, as with temperature
reductions).
The thing that makes a G0 a must for me is that
it fixes about 35 CPU bugs/errata that were
in B3, AND it offers the possibility of performing
equal/better in speed and better in temperature.
Im not liking my B3 Q6600......I accidentally forgot to change my multi to 9 instead of 8...let it prime at 3.2ghz so it was a go there.... Think im gonna dump this cpu and get a new one, maybe order 2..... It wont do 3.6ghz stable at 1.55 set in bios on P5K Deluxe......
EDIT: Although it could be thermals holding it back? Idles around 50-55C....But I highly doubt it, grrr and I dont wanna take the chance of lapping it to find out and not have any way to return it, or sell it to someone.... What to do, what to do.
So where can i get q6600 g0?? its been almost 9 days of price drop for q6600
Ordered 2 more Q6600's from NewEgg will post what I receive and from where
To guarantee a G0, you have three options:
1. Find one at a local retail store where you can inspect product codes.
2. Pre-order from TankGuys.biz, ETA August 10th.
3. Pre-order from ClubIT (phone only), ETA August 6th.
If you don't want to wait, or can't find one locally, you can chance it with a purchase from Newegg, NCIXUS or another vendor that has a mix of steppings.
The egg's price is down to $309.99 Shipped. In the meantime, NCIXUS' price keeps going up.
4. Pre-order from Antares Digital ($309), ETA August. 10th.
I'm having one shipped to me right now, should be here one monday or hopefully earlier.
It was out of stock when I ordered it a few days ago, so I'm hoping the new bunch will be G0. I bought it from Getmore A/S for those here who are danish.
EDIT: No wait! Those idiots are taking 10 god damn days to ship my parts, jesus.
I have a confirmed G0 Q6600 coming from NCIXUS atm.
I ordered a Q6600 on 7/25/07 from ZipZoomFly, and sent them a specific email within 1 hour of placing my online order indicating that unless the processor was a Stepping Code G0, that they were to cancel my order. Well, they didn't bother to even answer my email until a day later, AFTER they had already processed my order and it was too late to cancel it. Everyone should be aware of this slippery business practice by ZipZoomFly.com. They responded to my email by telling me that they constantly receive new shipments of processors of the type I ordered - that was plainly untrue!! The Intel box clearly states that the processor I received (Stepping Code B3) was manufactured and boxed on April 17, 2007. Be VERY careful of any dealings with ZipZoomFly in the future.
I ordered from Newegg thinking they had high turnaround. Plus the reviews on the site had guys stating they were receiving G0s for a couple of days from them. But i ordered from NY and they sent me my q6600 from their NJ warehouse, and I got a B3. Nonetheless, I am happy with my B3. If you have to have the G0 stepping, watch out East Coast guys until they have the right SKU. Meh, it's just a holdover for me until Yorkfield.;)
I think we're all guilty of oversimplifying the supply chain a bit. It's clearly not a case of retailers sitting on big piles of B3s, shipping them out, and then getting some fresh G0s. There are many places a new batch can come from, and there's a reason most retailers won't check the product codes.
You're certainly correct that nobody is going to turn over inventory faster than Newegg.com, but even though they're getting new shipments it's far from a guarantee. Some of Newegg's recent processor shipments were boxed in April as well.
I'm sticking with my ClubIT pre-order for now, hopefully they don't keep delaying ...
Yeah, but when teh dudes are saying they are getting G0s, a brother thinks, heh, I should be getting it then. I guess I let it feed my delusion. Adn knowing my luck, I should have known better.
But get this, when I put my quad in, it would not post with my Razer Tarantula. I cleared the cmos, reseated the cpu, ram, etc, and did a bunch of other checks. I just stuck on the splash screen. Then I pulled the keyboard, and it posted. Weird. Back with my Saitek Red Eclipse now.
Overall I'd say this whole G0 situation is
a microcosm example of how truly and completely
the e-tailer / retailer channel sucks in general.
For the most part the resellers have basically
ZERO knowledge about the products they sell
extending even to the most basic pre-sales and
support questions.
For the most part the resellers are totally clueless
about WHAT they're even offering for sale.
For the most part the resellers can't even be
BOTHERED to answer even the most basic of
customer inquiries or to strive for any kind of
improved customer satisfaction in the ordering
and fulfillment process.
Many resellers large and small apparently can't
even be BOTHERED to update their own
PRICES for many weeks after the channel price
changes and even after virtually all their
competitors have responded. You can still
buy a Q6600 for what $568 US from CompUsa,
and somewhere else I've seen it listed for like
$1060 USD just within the past day, and several
other places very near the $400/$500 mark.
How do then EVER expect to sell products if
they invest like ZERO effort into
even appropriately PRICING their products
or updating their e-commerce sites?
Most times you're LUCKY if you get any kind of
useful post-submission order status / order
tracking / order management (ADD, CHANGE,
CANCEL, STATUS) capacity EITHER online OR via
phone since a lot of these e-tailers think it's
OK to never even answer their phone without
lots of long waits, dropped / unanswered calls,
unreturned calls etc.
And in terms of responsiveness, of course we all
know there are thousands and thousands of
G0 processors just *SITTING* in warehouses
all over and neither for love nor money nor
effort can we manage to actually *BUY* them
or *LOCATE* them. This is "internet age"
supply chain technology?
This is "efficient markets"?
I do have to give thanks to the minority of
suppliers e.g. TankGuys and ClubIt et. al. that
seem to be devoting any effort whatsoever to
customer service about the G0 issue.
More importantly I appreciate the resellers that
*in general* offer good, responsive, detailed,
knowledgable, honest customer service / support;
that's nearly non-existent now!
I think the overall far far far below average
acceptability / quality / usefulness of the
distributor/reseller/e-tailer supply chain model
must raise the question whether there's ANY
VALUE ADDED for the customer in even dealing
with the lower 2, 3, 4 levels of suppliers.
If they know nothing of the products,
give no good support, don't add value in
managing / facilitating orders, don't provide
"hands on" product access in local brick & mortar
shops, what good are they to the customer?
They serve only to DELAY the product availability
and MARK UP the price and FOUL UP the orders /
support / warranty process in many cases.
As customers we'd (FOR THE MOST PART)
be better served if we could just order online
right from Intel / AMD / whatever large
regional distributor. Of course there
are exceptions but speaking of the industry
overall I think I'm right.
Oh and of course the collusion of the lower level retailers seems
to be mostly responsible for the whole REBATE SCAM which
basically borders on criminal racketeering in many senses
given how DELIBERATELY it's done to promote theft/fraud from
the consumer, price-fixing which is probably illegal in many cases,
and so on. Sure RARELY there are "manufacturer rebates" but mostly
it seems like it's a scam perpetuated by the low-mid-level resellers
working with the rebate companies and a wink-wink nudge nudge smile
from the taxation people who love to collect sales taxes for vastly inflated
amounts much more than the actual reasonable price of the product which
is probably why there are few prosecutions / investigations of the shady
rebate scam operations that are pretty common.
just to let you all know, i received a G0 from ncixus.com, i ordered tuesday.
my brother ordered a whole new system (including a q6600) from newegg, and he received a B3 with a box date of 7/16. today im going to test them both out and see whats what.
Anyone ordering from outpost/frys?
www.scan.co.uk unfortunately are not G0 :(
I can tell you that ZZF does not have a single G0 stepping yet, sometime by next week toward the end maybe, I will post here when they do get it.
So just hold out, and I am sure they will take an RMA on that chip. They never guaranteed a SLACR, when they said they constantly receive new shipments of the processor type you ordered (Yes they constantly receive new Q6600 Quadcores, which to anyone but overclockers is exactly like thee rest) So there was no slippery business, and your Email would not have been read in real time, and it is not as fast as their shipping.
If you need some help with that B3 you got, drop me a PM I am sure I can get you some help returning it :)
Zipzoomfly is horrible when it comes to responding to customer inquiries. I wouldn't purchase stuff from them unless u never plan on contacting them for anything, including RMA.
