50 seems fair to me, the most expensive piece of hardware I have is a E6400 and I've managed to get to 30 points so far:)
I did it with loads of Cellies and Coppermines!! You shouldn't be complaining so much!! It's fine and easy to do. 50 is ok.Quote:

Thats what a good guy can do with a bit of imagination and determination. It don't take cherry picked and uber expensive stuff :applaud:
OK someone has been benching old hardware, they knocked my points down below 10 :( Darn you whoever you are :slap:
:p:
Gonna be benching my main rig tonight most likely. It is -4 degrees F outside right now, not due to get over +6 F today
Thanks. I'm sure you're able to make it as well... :)Quote:

Get your coat on & get benching Sparky :p: We're in a good position with this variety of folders to muck about it with, it's just a case of getting the time to organise it all for me. Little gold cups make me happy :D
@riptide I finally pushed my Xeon 2800's, they seem good for 3100 but get very flakey very quickly after that. I'm sure I hit 3300 on those before, anyway DDTung owns that category with 3400 so at least it's in XS' hands :) Good luck with the LV's.
Nice avatar jimwah, nice support of hwbot :p:
i should be getting new shiny 3800+ or 3500+ soon. will help me along the way
Sorry guys but I do not get it :S. I have two rigs with BOINC and WCG.. is this of any use for the contest?
Thanks I was looking for that :DQuote:

 Not the PCI lock again! Yeah it's a bad overclock no doubt, you've spurred me into having another go later on tonight, I don't think I explored the lower multiplier/higher fsb options enough - these aren't a pair of cheeky LV's tho' :)
OK this is frusterating as all hell. Ive subitted like 11 or 12 things, and still only got 3 points for my pcmark05 score. Does it have to be a really special score or something to get points? I am still trying to fidure out how this stuff works.
you sure do "knowitall" huh?
:p
joke
HMM< maybe some errors? I saw you posted a sisoft sandra score with a 6700 I think that beat mine and I know there's no way in hell your conroe beat my 8 core Clovertown..Quote:

I can't get my CPU above about 3.01GHz, no matter what voltages or memory timings I use. I have to set it in the bios because clockgen won't work (has the wrong clock settings shown and freezes the system every time).
Not all processors are created equal :p: xtreme cooling helps combat this a bit but in the end, it isn't a level playing field.

*edit* nm, just saw the post over in the benchmark section.
hey at least Spi 32m ran on yours, for some reason it keeps crashing on my systems  Every time on each one it gets to the 3rd or 4th iteration and then "SuperPI mod has encountered an error and needs to close, we are sorry for any inconvenience." AHH you bet it is! What bugs me is it ran fine once on the one system, but the super pi window was off the bottom of the screen so you couldn't see the final time and I couldn't move it up without clicking OK and making it disappear :(
just switched to xtremesystems team =).
i already submitted 2X points before i joined xs team. so i need to add another 50 points?
btw: there are is one thing i realy dont understand.
7th celeron lga775 352->14.4 points
2nd p-m 750 -> 1.6points
raiden
AFAIK you need 50 points, but I could be wrong. You get more points for the Celeron because more rsults were added. It is a more popular CPU than the 750 (at the benches you ran) so you get more points, as it is harder to get to the top spots ;)Quote:

@ Fugger: Sorry, I posted this in the contest thread.
That is a problem with SisoftSandra that is why they don’t give points for it, re run it with an older version and you will get higher results although it is not countedQuote:

I did copy paste coz I had greater scores some times ago but when I've recently benched my system to submit results to the HWbot.org, I found that I had better results in the past with the same configuration.
So, i did copy paste from my previous benchmark to the new window so that I can submit better results than what I'm getting now.I may have done something wrong in copy pasting. That's why u've noticed that MX 440 but doing copy paste from my own result should not be a problem. Isn't is so ?
2. "you can't put the resultscreen behind the 3dmark01 main program"--- Now what does that mean ? My 3D Mark results are viewable but I didn't know that putting the results behind the 3D Mark main screen is not a valid option.I could not find any rules on both the sites. So, keeping the result window over the 3d Mark main screen is vaild ? Can I re submit my results obeying that rule ?
3.I have not benched with Windows Vista. That was only a Vista theme.I've just posted a link where u can get to know that it was only a Vista theme, not a real Vista.I think you know about the Vista Transformation Pack software.

First result: 3DMark itself doesn't allow you to put the results window (the one that contains your score) behind the main 3Dmark window. That had to have been photochopped (or MS painted) to look like that.Quote:

Third result: Looking at the 3Dmark result window, something has been obviously chopped off.
Fourth result: The final score window has obviously been modified, why else would the stark white rectangles appear in it behind the score? Bad erase of the real score, perhaps?
Fifth result: Here I do agree with you, I have a vista-looking theme running on my XP rig as well. Mine looks nicer though ;)
The fourth result in itself I think is enough to prove cheating and disqualification. Sorry, but we don't tolerate cheaters here :slapass:
*EDIT* I see you edited your post, so here:
And give us one good reason why we should believe you got those scores previously? Those pics are chopped, the one has the score erased and rewritten, the one the GPU doesn't match up (though like I said, does 3dmark01 even recognize an 8800gtx at all so this one is uncertain). The scores you send in must be the ones that you get now, not a month ago, or a year ago. If you want to rerun benches and do system tweaks until you get the highest score you can, fine. But copy/pasting, no :nono:Quote:

stop embarrassing yourself sushrukh.
1) If you had benched with your(?) 8800gtx, the 3dmark01 wouldn't say it's a gf4mx.Quote:

We do NOT tolerate cheaters at HWBot !
//EDIT: I just saw you made another account. Can you please give some details about the score, maybe a FM-link?
//EDIT2: Honestly, I was doubting if it were really fake scores, so I recalculated the individual game test scores with the known, correct, formula:
3DMark score = (Game1LowDetail + Game2LowDetail + Game3LowDetail) * 10 + (Game1HighDetail + Game2HighDetail + Game3HighDetail + Game4) * 20
In your case:
[(982.7 + 1499.0 + 1139) * 10 ]+ [(498.5 + 681.2 + 442.9 + 699.0) * 20 ] = 36207 + 46432 = 82639.

Nice job guys but don't stop at 50 ;) Time to learn how to install PCMark properly and try to crush 75 points.
:hehe: I've picked up a pile of machines to bench over the weekend, some more s478 kit, some P2's, and best of all...a Pentium Pro, I wanted one of these so badly when I had Cyrix chip iirc :p: I've also got a replacement Abit KT7 board, so I can bench whatever chip's in there & the thunderbird sitting in my cupboard. I don't think the weekend is long enough to get it all done, but I'll try to make a dent at least :)
Hmmm...where to start...
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68...pileOcomps.jpg
jimwah may I have some of those? :p:
I can't get pcmark to run properly on this old athlon T-bird :( It runs through the first test then just hangs there.
You turned off the firewall
But that's indeed how you get your points fairly easy :toast:
Wow your collection of old computers is amazing :) But indeed that is where the easy points are located.
Sorry for the pic of boring machines, just found another KT7 is dead too :(
I reached 50 points!n:cool: Next goal...75 points!
my (not x2) 3800+ got me to 24.8 points. i can't get anywhere near any score points worthy with any video related programs (3dmark/aquamark)
and i can not get pcmark05 to run for me. it fails some window test
Found an AT7 so I can bench some skt A
lol. i am getting close now. ran benchies on my old socket 370 celeron. wprime 1024 only took ~3 hours...
It took over 4 hours on my Celly, so it can be worse :DQuote:

I disagree. This contest brought out one thing that you can't put a number on: People from all the XS areas coming together to work on one project.Quote:

Imagine everything that exists here working one project for one day.
Those would be numbers to barg on for years to come.:D
Do it for a week and make a statement to every site that exists how much power is at XS..
then start a contest or something for them
Yeah maybe I'm stupid or something but I don't get what settings I'm supposed to use in pifast?
download the hwbot pifast and run the .bat
Wow that new update to HWBot is going to heavily skew the points away from XS. The entire top 10 teams will get all jumbled around and I think it'll skew the results towards newer hardware making old hardware once again obsolete. Hope this doesn't occur before Feb 14th otherwise it will probably screw up all our results..
I just saw this thread. I don't suppose there is any way to get 50 points in time to qualify though. :(
I had 80 points in ~3 days (lost some now already), so it is still possible :toast:Quote:
