i've done tons of nlite, it never helps. the only purpose its useful for imho is automating installs and slipstreaming drivers, which is, don't get me wrong, a great touch.

In this thread that counts as a good start, but you're not close to done yet. Performance Level 11?!? ;)
Try bringing it down to 7. ;)
I doubt you'll be able to get that far, what board is this Solar?
Solar, there's a couple of things you have to enable in the bios to get the tighter PL... In the IP35 its always set at lowest level hehe... PL= 7 @ 560fsb :D ....

luihed hey thanks bro for screenie..
A bit later i'll do one on my 3.5Ghz Prescott, you will feel its hyperthreading supremacy!!!!
lol, he is joking.
This an old screenie I just found of a run I did with a 4 GHz S478 Prescott. :p:

Makes me wish I had an OCable board on my prescott :P The mobo is micro atx and the only OC option is changing the FSB. Need to do all my OC's at stock voltage :P
Can someone with P5B tell me, how they can run 2:3 with a 9 x 445? Can't manage to get that combo working.. :(
The best i can get so far:

Hmm, i found a screen from me where i have already done it.. :p: It was with my ES and Ballistix, but normally my new G.Skill clock higher! Will give it one more try soon. :)

Thanks. :)
here is my contribution to this thread with my crappy win installation..

here's mine. not impressive though. :(
It is a fine line (or just a mhz or so) to the next level in iterations.
DDR3 is cheating. :cussing:
bob can you plz rerun at <4001MHz? Some didn't want the CPU speed to be higher.
Final numbers with Allendale @ 4GHz [CPU under DI for that FSB, 2,9VDimm etc]
E4400 444.3x9=3999MHz, RAM 2:3 = 666.5 5-4-4-4
Allendale loves memory frequency so the difference between 500x8 1:1 [1066 strap] is not that small :).

My sticks can do 1M CL5 @ 655MHz with 2,33V, with 2,37V they do ~665, but higher voltage doesn't help. I tried upping the NB and FSB termination voltage but that didn't make any difference :(. Any tips?
Anyways I did some quick SuperPI testing on Server 2k3 and here's my result so far:

Forgot to switch to mem tab in one CPU-Z
Btw I also had a 12.500 run with some improved timings but it froze before I got to save the screenshot. I tried the same timings again but can't get under 12.515 :(

Needs some improvement I think, I have 12.593 @ 4002MHz.
Very very nice job Misko!
Bout time someone flexed P35's muscle.
looks good so far
this board will be replaced with a quicker X38 one soon :) so look out for some really low 12.xx :)

this is why i am not a fan of 1M...between these two setups in 32M there is almost 3 seconds difference. with 1M, not even a tenth. that, and i don't really think i have a great OS setup for 1M benching...might have to work on that.
500*8 / 1000MHz 8-7-6 / PL6 = 12.500

Yeah, that's the nature of 1M. What if you bring the second one to 4000MHz flat? The 3 MHz is significant.
Systool allows really really fine adjustments. (close to 1 MHz CPU speed) I never tried it on Asus P35 boards but it should work I would think.

sub 45k eff with ddr2 :p:
any reason why my 12.468 run isn't on the first page?
It was too far above 4000MHz...at first I was letting within 5MHz range, but later some people didn't want me to, and after trying it out myself, 4003-4005MHz is much much easier than 4000 flat. It can easily help a tick. There are plenty of 4005MHz times that I had to omit too for this reason. Just trying to keep everyone happy.
Gautam
should it not be x38 chipset instead of P35??
blitz has p35 but maximus x38
meh that time wasn't good enough anyways
wait till i really put the hammer down :D
i've got one CPU coming in soon which i will try to bench at 666*6 with DDR3 heheheh
with LN2 it should be just able to get there....we'll see hehehhehe
you reckon sub 12.4 would be achievable :)

Holy crap  2:3 divider?? daamnn...
mems @ 1420 mhz ;)
months of tweaking windows, yet you have a wallpaper?....
Tim maybe the wallpaper helps him or it doesn't harm the bench
maybe he applies the theme after bench is done
one thing is for sure that result is VERY good so he looks like knows what he's doing to me :)
i personally think it's the RAM speed that's helping a lot there :)
on what divider i dunno ... i have different option in bios and don't botther calculating it coz i suck @ it ... one thing is for sure, wallpaper or no wallpaper, the result stays the same my friend, try it out ;)
and yes, it's the mem that give the result, @ 600mhz or 666mhz i had no lower then 12.500 but finally havin ballistix got me to 1420mhz ... 1 run, 1screen, en boom basta crash
5/8 obviously if mem is actually at 710mhz. Too bad the top of memset is covered...
yer i noticed the day after posting it ;) but when i did the run again it crashed (12.454 :D) while takin screen so i said :banana::banana::banana: it, i'm waiting on my maximus to get back from RMA mems are more stable on that board is my experience i'll give it another try on there in a few weeks :D
