DI + 2v + 3'C stress :D
DI + 2v + 3'C stress :D
hehe... 2v, not on this chip ;)
@ ~+3°C the coldbug hit my face :(
what htt for 3° ?
~328mhz
Do u need good RAM ? :D
damm this thing kicks butt! NICE WORK!
this weekend i'll go for sub 20min SuperPi 32M.... may be i try 1M once again, with more voltage...
WR UPDATE
superpi:

pifast:
http://octs.ripping.org/3700_wr/33.23_xs.jpg
superpi 32m: 3700+ @ 3604mhz / 2x256mb bh-5 258mhz 2-2-2-5
http://octs.ripping.org/3700_wr/superpi_32m.jpg
sub 20min on 32m is defenetly not possible... i tried 32m only once... i think the time could be a few seconds better...
Erm... that Pifast has ***error in computation*** so unfortunately it's not valid.
For that 32M run, sub 21 minutes ought to be a walk in the park at that speed, i get 22 min 10 sec at only 3220MHz, time to break out some tweaks.
Good luck and nice speeds!
ou... i saw it too late... here is a valid pifast-screen... but pifast suxx...

Use win 2k3 and your sub20 already.Quote:

Like i said, sub 21 min sould be a piece of cake. ;)
Sure, even more than 1m22.Quote:

I though i was miles off the pace with 3.4ghz, i had it upto 3.6ghz suicide shot.
Looks like i'll have to dust off the old chilly1
Tom
2k3 installed, 32m is running, with the same settings as under winxp...
Sweet, in a few minutes I'm expecting results :D
damned atm 32m isn't stable.... i'll try when my fridge-chiller is cold enough...
Insane. Great job!
ok guys, i reached the max with 32m! but sub 20min is absolutly not possible! windows 2k3 and my fridge-chiller@-28°C, more than 30sec better than before = not bad
http://octs.ripping.org/3700_wr/supe....859sec_xs.jpg
Awesome job dude, gl for this project, so much xtreme!
Awesome speed bro. :toast:Quote:

TBH i think you (Massman) either had a very bad XP or a very good setup 2K3.
Let me do some calculation:
I scored 22 min 10 sec at 3230MHz (see sig), for every added 10MHz i took of about 3~4 seconds.
You have 400MHz more which means 40x3=120 seconds= 2 full minutes.
22 min 10 - 2 min = 20 min 10 sec. :fact:
Since i took 3 second for 10 MHz one should expect to shave of even a bit more.
With a very well tweaked OS sub 20 minutes should be doable.
I suggest you'd have a read here:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=49345
Tweak that OS to the max and show us sub 20 minutes. :toast:
i've read this thread already ;)
i think the problem is my ram... my 2x512mb kit is much faster but not stable @ 32m at these clocks :(
I used some OPB tricks (nothing special, just keeping your system clean). My XP setup wasn't that great (24/7), but it was quite clean.Quote:

next weekend the FX-55 with WR-Stepping is comming... and another 3700+ as well ;)
Putting Idle Cycle Limit to 16 on your RAM will most likely allow you to run the RAM a few MHz higher. ;)
Just another lucky guy. That's some insane 3700 you got.
Think you're able to do 4ghz+ ?
congrats and happy hunting. ;)
no... 3821mhz is the absolutly maximum of this chip! :( :)
The OP's right - No way, no how, not a chance that you'd be able to run a sub-20min 32m @ ~3600mhz ;) . I think you guys may be forgetting that Spi doesn't scale linearly with cpu clocks. For comparison's sake, here's a 32m run similar to Gianni's run....Quote:

IMO, this 32m was as close to perfection as ANY 32m I'd had ever run (and that includes my 19.xx minute runs using my Opty) and even then I couldn't break the 20 minute barrier....
@ Gianni: WONDERFUL cpu you've got there  These types of cpu's only existed in my dreams back when I was benching :toast:
Now there's one good SD 3700+.
Happy Hunting for a better one ( i think you couldn't find a better one :D).
Keep up the benching :D
That could be the reason why I'm wrong about the sub20. My first run was 30min with 2.85GHz. Later that day I got 27m30s with 2.7Ghz, just by installing win2k3.Quote:

Sub 20 will be very hard, it looks like gianni can´t do that :(
But he need some more good ram to get near the 20 min...
yapp my 2x512mb ram suxx @ 32M.... but i doesn't find no more good ddr1-ram in switzerland :(
Check Here.....Quote:

In addition to that, you should discount any runs done without SPi v1.4mod or above since those other versions tend to run faster. Now you're basically left with 10 sub20 results. Out of those 10, only ONE was done @ <3700mhz (an incredible run by MickeyMouse). So in short: NO :p: If you think about it, it's actually quite amazing just how much more resources a sub20 minute 32m run requires.......
Steven, looking at it like that you might be right.
No doubt he could improve on that time though, 20 min 25 seconds is definately on the cards at that speed.
i'll try the sub20min with my new fx and ln2 ;) and hopefully better ram...
Absolutely right, BUT ... all the 32M runs that went sub20 were fx-57, except your insane 154, so there isn't any entry that ran above 300HTT. Now if you look a bit further, you'll find Bachus' run with a 3590 opteron 146:Quote:

Look at his settings: 300+ HTT, not really supertight subtimings and only 3590MHz.
I know 50s is A LOT, but if gianni can get his hands on a 2x512 kit like yours (Read preamble 3.0, Max async Latency 6.0 :slobber: ) and use 362x10 with the 150 divider he should be pretty close.
hehe right now i found a 2x512mb mushkin kit in switzerland... 269mhz@3.4V superpi-stable... the same ram runs in the system of an other member @288mhz@3.8V.... :D
Gianni, I almost have my hands on a KAB1E 0614DPAW, do you think it will be similar? I only have air, but if the temps get a little better over here (meaning lower :briggin:) then I could move her up into the attic and have some 0C ambient temp runs.
Man, that thing is awesome you have there!
this stepping ist deffently not so good as mine!
check: http://www.forumdeluxx.de/forum/showthread.php?t=225074
i think it's the biggest prime-thread of sandiegos in the world
Yep, the cold bug prevented any of us to run 32m anywhere near 300HTT. If I had access to multis above x14 on my Opty, I would have easily been able to run 32m @ 3800+ Mhz. :(Quote:

@ gianni, wait until I get this guy, I will OC the holy smokes out of it, with or without IHS :)
words are silver, mhz are gold! ;)
That should do the trick ;)Quote:

if i get this week also a 3700+ toledo, this WR is also mine :D
Thx, gianni...
The memcontroller should good enough with multi 10 because i coudn´t got so high with the multi 11 and htt 309+.
Hmm, I had boot on AC Freezer at 3300 MHz. Now I have Scythe Infinity. I'm starting to think... alot. :D
GG! :toast:
@stunned_guy: buy/build a water-chiller! :D
hmm... the 1st and 2nd place in pifast @ hwbot are strange or fakes... what do you think:
1st place

2nd place
http://octs.ripping.org/pifast_2nd.jpg
Give me the hwbot-link in PM (or give our forums a visit) and I'll check it out
Wtf, that's in 1M or 2M? :slapass:
PS: gianni-gt, what voltage you had for that last screen (the DH-E6 in CPU-z)?
that was not me... the wr is from stunned_guy vcore was 1.648V
OK, good to know. I'll try something when I get my BH5's back. :D
Sheesh, these cores sure have gone a long way since I first debuted them. At the time, this was as high as I had gone on the 3700+ :p: ....(now the 4000+, on the other hand, was another story...3500Mhz+ I think)Quote:

yeah i got it!!! but not validated atm... ;)
man gianni, you are the WR hunter here on XS :D
hehe.... in 7days comes LN2 for the FX-55 :) hope for one more WR...

The official name for the Toledo is San Diego E6...but all people know that there was build in the Toledo core of an X2.
today i tried some prime-runs with my normal water-cooling-system... water@25°C
3001Mhz @ 1.264V * 38°C * WaKü2 * mit HS
3100Mhz @ 1.312V * 38°C * WaKü2 * mit HS
3203Mhz @ 1.376V * 40°C * WaKü2 * mit HS
3270Mhz @ 1.440V * 44°C * WaKü2 * mit HS
more vcore wasn't possible because the temps are too high...
:woot: Good Work! You may be able to take the WR for ALL Toledo single cores. I THINK my record still stands.....maybe not for long though ;)Quote:

Vcore was 1,904 volts ( 1,425x136% ) @ DFI SLI-DR.
This E6 has already an cold bug but he´s higher than the normal E4.
Cold bug is @ 284 MHz FSB and -26° degree and 304 MHz @ -8° degree.
Best temps for validation and benching are around 10 to 15° degree...in this zone i get my world record....
i started the single stage to cooling down then take it off....the temps felt and at zero degree i started to take the fsb higher with clockgen. i have only 25 seconds for validation because in this time the temp was nearly 18° degree and the pc gets down :D
Toledo at 1.9v? wtf? I smell toasted processor for lunch :D
Hehehe....I try max vcore, more isn´t possible....the cpu restarts in the middle of windows loading...
Here ist the pic of that vcore with that processor:

Congratz stunned_guy, but were do you find all those cpu's :D
THX ;)
Which cpu´s do you mean ?
ok congratz stunni ;) you can have it... so long the SanDiego WR is mine, i have no problem :D
i think in the next weeks i will crack my 3821mhz.... new bad ass sandiego is comming!
You mean the cpu from Rabbit ?
nope an other one :D
No like gianni, he orders the cpu's on the stepping

Thats super !!! Congratz ;)
No condensation? Perfect. :D
Great way to get lov temps there
What were the mobo temps
14*C. Look at SmartGuardian in that last screen. :D
yapp chipset was 14°C without any fans!!! :D
I guess i have similar stepping . 3.15G @1.4v air cooling 52celsius .
Maybe i will try vapochill . Your cpus have cold bug?
realy? any results?
