This shot is a 4 shot panoramic taken with my cell phone on the 51st floor of the Ritz Carlton Residences. This shot looks directly west.
On the far left side of the picture you are looking down on the Rogers Center where the Toronto Blue Jays Play. This was taken on a balcony looking over a 6 foot piece of structural glass as the railing. It had been raining on and off all day so shots to the north were not possible thru the window which was wet.

Otherwise, yes its better camera in some aspects. Which doesnt include better AF or faster frame rate. Simply put, 5DMK2 is quite slow camera, unlike D300s which is really fast camera. Depends what you prefer, if you plan to use 5DMK2 at base ISO as landscape or portrait camera, than go for it, just dont expect much action shots from it. Its not like you cant make them, but its bit harder.
