Yes my CPU ist watercooled by Nexxxus XP and is set in BIOS on 1,7 V. I have already get really good Ballistix Tracers and there is a voltage of 2,9 V. In addition 120 mm fans.
no actually I had set the 533 jumpers originallly and the silly thing won't boot.... rightnow I have no jumpers set... I'll try the 400. Well even at 400 the max I could set the FSB is 240ish... Its just a limit of the mobo...Quote:

Well my core and mem is at 415/575, so it is not surprise you eeked out my Ultra even with 16 pipes. I'm still monkeying around some... the system seems to hit a wall of diminishing returns much above 230 fsb, so I need to play with it some. I also think I have a 6k + run in the system as is, just need to finish tweaking a few things. You've got some really nice scores for a lesser processor and less pipelines, some of that might have to do with your memory settings as well.Quote:

Yes.. the "locks" kicks in at 199, 201 for my XT800 PE, not for 200.. and PAT is disabled/performance are similar ("slow") for all three choises..
This board/Bios (1009.004) enables PAT only when RAM-speed is set to DDR500 (or DDR533) as stated in "Stryg's" sticky..
My P4P800-E Dlx "rig" behaves as you ("wwww" and "Lawrywild") explains though..

IMO P4P & P4C have the same performance. :)
Only difference is that 875 can handle 10/11 (110/111) DLP at high FSB.
If you look at new beetle & Cal930's P4P testing you will see they were able to use 11 DLP at 240 and 267 w/ P4P. (seeing their scores) [it is a deduction]
I dunno how they can. :/ I had not an answer from them.
But as i said before IMO DLP is the guilty.

If you boot under 200fsb those settings multiply the ram up, eg 266fsb gives ddr400 when set to 333.If yo boot 200fsb or more you can set the ram to run ddr400 at 1/1 or if over 20ofsb then those numbers become dividers clocking the memory down, eg 250fsb gives you ddr400 when set to 320.
Edit: I just saw some of your other posts, You are booting below 200 to get full pat? I dont think that memorey can take full pat much over 200fsb.Try tighter timings or more vdimm.
got the pat working now. systool did the trick - clockgen was the one making my system freeze.
i can get fsb 213-215 - 2750-2800 mhz in 1:1, superpi at 26 secs. Vcore is 1,4v - think any higher will make temps go 50+ (im on stock cooling).
So - anyone knows of a waterblock, that will fit without modding ???

Yes if you set your mem to 400 it gives 1/1 but if you boot at 199 with mem at 333 you get a 4/5 ratio cpu/mem.Ill show screenshot.Quote:

Yes, 199 and auto gives me full pat and 1:1. This is the only way I can get 1:1. Both 266 and 333 gives Sisoft mem bandwidth gives approx 4900-5000 at 2-2-2-5.Quote:

I can get my 740@2900 with air and 1.6v at bios. And cause it's P4C800-E Deluxe, real voltages are something like 1.55v. :/ Can't get any higher without mods, but i think this is enough. :)

I used a lot of information in this long thread for my system, which is not a common combination here. Pentium-M 705 (Banias 1.5G@400M FSB) + CT-479 + P4P800-VM. So, although it may not be interesting to the Dothan users here, I thought it is worthwhile to add my experience.
You might ask why Banias when the latest and greatest is Dothan (or Core Duo actually). Because I found a $50 deal at mwave several weeks ago. Then, I needed a MB to build a Media Center PC, and there came P4P800-VM(newegg refurb) and CT-479 (zipzoomfly). I also bought a MATX Athenatech case with 180W power supply. I started with setting the FSB at 533 MHz on CT-479. Used the default heatsink of CT-479 with Arctic Silver 5. When the system first posted, it reported FSB as 400 MHz on the screen and in the BIOS. There was no indication that the FSB was 533 MHz. I tried the u-wire trick to set the FID to 533 but the post screen and BIOS did not indicate any success. So I removed the u-wire and left the 533 MHZ setting on the CT-479 adapter, and continued with installing the OS. After Windows XP installation was completed, to my surprise, I was greeted with a 2GHz Pentium-M running at 533 MHz FSB. Apparently, BIOS was only reporting the processor specs not the actual applied frequency. That was good news, I was happy but not for long. The stability tests using Prime95 were failing after several minutes and it was not a CPU heating problem or related to memory. I had to increase the vcore but BIOS VID change had no effect and the software I used, namely EIST and RMClock was also not effective in increasing the voltage (though they can decrease the voltage). So, for the second time, I used u-wire, this time for VID mod. The default voltage of this Banias is 1.484v, using P1, p2, p3 pins high. The best option seemed as setting p3 low to achieve 1.612v. After booting with the new VID (1.612v) I saw in CPUZ that the actual voltage was 1.58v and everything was stable in this case. Also, the CPU temperature under load was not exceeding 56C.
I tested to go higher than 2 GHz (using Clockgen) but it was not stable beyond 2.1GHz. I have settled at 2GHz with a safety limit and in the final configuration I used 166MHz DDR frequency (single channel) which was slightly faster than 133MHz (1:1). And finally, the SuperPI 1M is 49.5 seconds. By using RMClock I was also able to activate Speedstep, it worked perfectly by scaling the system between 800MHz(6x133)@1v and 2GHz(15x133)@1.58v depending on the workload.
Please let me know if I can supply any further information or I am not aware of something that can increase my overclock. I will eventually use dual channel when I can buy the other stick.
