I have two and the other seems to be ok with 270x10 with 1.458v though.
I've got a LDBFE 0622WPMW sitting here waiting for a motherboard. Hope it does atleast 2.6GHz.Quote:

Just ordered one here from Directron for $158 shipped.
just got a LDBHE 0601TPEW from newegg...so far im priming at 2.6GHz 1.35v
:banana::banana::banana:, that's what I get for ordering from mwave. Newegg still has old stock chips so they're still selling those, the good clocking ones.
Hi guys .. i got a LDBFE 0614 WPMW Chip .. priming at 2800 with 1.51 Vcore.. but i have a doubt ..
The smartguardian temp read out is 50 on full load .. but the Core temp program showing 71 on core 1 and 65 on core 2 ...
is it save? pls help me :(
who knows. On my single core the the core temp thingy was 2-3 * lower tham mbm5. With my dual core chip, it's 10* higher than mbm5.
hmm core temp program shows my core temps at 66C and 58C at 1.47v while smartguardian shows my cpu temp at 44C. Think the IHS is making bad contact with my core?
Hi Droz. are you using water or air cool?Quote:

anyways its too late, I took off the IHS, but the CPU is dead..
there is no physical damage, my system won't turn on at all.
I guess it was running too hot...
make sure none of the contacts on the transistors or caps were cut. The leads are so small it's easy to miss it...
finally have a 06 on my own, but personally I liked my 05 more.
06 now has CB and is sometimes a bit strange during first boot (freeze or reboot, needs 2-3 tried)
My 05 was rockstable under subzero but didn't scaled with cold that good.
Think 3800+ are very luck-dependent whether you get a good one or not :(
wish i had a digital camera with me so i can take a pic of it. It looks like none of them are damaged.Quote:

that blows dude.
on a lighter note, so far I got mine up to 245x10 with stock volts and it's around 105* outside...
damn, this is the best manchester stepping !!!Quote:

yeah they do run hot, i took off the IHS and found out why ;)Quote:

Anymore news on the overclocking on this chip or stablility at those settings? I've got a chance to get one of them so please let me know. :)Quote:

Hmm, so all x2 3800+ 06 Manchesters are good clockers? There was a LDBFE 0623 on eBay the other day, but I couldn't find anyone with this stepping, and as it was £20 than shop prices i thought i better leave it.
I'm in the UK, so if I bought a retail x2 3800+ from a shop would it almost certainly be an 06 manchester?
why??? bad contact???Quote:

Every stepping that pops up on eBay never seems to be common. ..
How well do you reckon the above cpu would overclock?
yep, poor contact between IHS and coreQuote:
