Yes, but the problems people have had is apparently with 1TQuote:

ocz powerstream 520
Nec dvd/cd burner
Well it recognizes both drives, formats the raptor drive windows is going on then restarts to begin installing windows like it should however it just freezes at the windows logo screen and wont go any further.
I tried doing the above twice, resetting the cmos by removeing batter for a while still nothing!
All of these components were working fine in my msi neo4 plat so i know none of them are faulty.
Any suggestions?
memory timings? make sure 2T is enabled.
Yah i noticed at post that it was running in auto and set to 1t so i changed it to "spd" and now reads 2t but still nothing. :mad:Quote:

physically change it to 2T
tried that, set mem settings to "manual" then changed it to 2T, nothing.Quote:

I even tried a new sata drive thinking it was the raptor, nope still does it.
I dont know, i should probably start a new thread for this, dont want to get off topic.
Sampsa on Abit motherboards....wow....nice
i found that the RAM wouldn't scale with extra voltage at 1T...in fact it would error if i give it more volts than necessary.......2T was acting normal...provided my thread link at OCAU in next post:)

the bottom line is that 2T is still there with your bios.
BTW i can actually go to 227MHz 1T 2-7-12-2-2-5-2-2-1-1 error free memtest#5&8, BIOS13, but only 1:1 after that id doesn't scale with voltage so i had to go to 2T and went up to 259MHz
here is my thread over at OCAU that talks about that
http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=384427
so your test#8 can loop error free at 288HTT 235RAM?

ok well not really, i flashed the bios to 15 and now windows resumes installing, all i can say is its really wierd that it wouldnt install with bios 13.
there's been some odd behaviour with these boards i must say...that one makes no sense....BIOS13 is supposed to be the least troublesome bios overall ...or i'm under the wrong impression.....

yah amd never ceases to amaze me. Its frustrating haveing to deal with these strange problem, when, like situman said, i came from an intel board that was a rock of stability and consistency. :stick:
oh well im just happy it works..................for now.
Hmm, I've been using them more or less from 1999 :) Too bad they have changed their focus to this Fatal1ty thing instead of overclocking :(Quote:

I have been testing the 16 BETA bios. The 1T issue still remains, i get flooded with errors at 235Mhz 2-2-2-7 1T in test 8 and they disappear if i set it to 2T.
Currently i am trying to tweak it more for my UTT BH-5 and the first bug i have found is that if i select the 3.55v option, the bios will hardlock
This board has been tested to 340HTT stock chipset voltage, 350HTT with .2v more and i am yet to change the chipset cooling pad :slap:
Doh!
Good to see another well known OCer making a contribution

whats it abt and how do u change it?
and is the 1t problem on these boards on tccd is general with evry proc or with venices
and if ur raitng mobo's on there bugs oir unstability, how would this rate against the DFI NF4 Ultra? just wondering which board tends to be more troublesome
2T and 1T is command rate.. 1T has about 2% over 2T? you change it in the dram configuration in the bios there should be an option for it
1T and venice is only for Abit AN8 boards if i'm not mistaken and a bios update should fix it..
the Abit is a stable board but bios wise i'd say DFI has an edge over the Abit.. at the moment there's quite a few issues with the Abit boards
venice and 1T
sandiego and 1T with bh-5 (instant reboot)
higher vcore needed for same clocks
bios update is worse than stock bios =/
i reckon all of those can be fixed with a bios update.. just hope they release it soon..
hey it's babydude...hahaha
i don't know about SD and 1T....that is not an issue...i think chew here has tested that config with no problems if i remember correctly....SD also reports proper temps [YOU ARE WELCOME TO SEND OVER YOUR 2970MHz SD FOR TESTING IN MY Ulta BOARD :toast:]
it also seems that bios updates are better than BIOS13 (only problem introduced in bios15 is SLI crapping out because of some memory setting in bios which floods some temporary buffer)..............so not really as bad but certainly need a 1T fix, temp monitoring, voltage fix and add a few bios options all you DFI guys have for high HTT clocks with TCCD
what do you reckon we borrow Oscar for a couple of months hahahaha...but we want final release bioses that don't blow up 3GHz stable Venices :slapass:

heh if they can get oskar back to a month.. this board will kick ass..
and no u're not getting my venice heh
:banana::banana::banana: he does too.....donno chew i'm pretty sure tested it OK.....oh well it seems only claws and winchesters don't have that issue
don't worry about sending the venice....what about SD :slobber: :D
(might want to change the sig there unless you don't mind bootable 3GHz Venices too LOL) hopefully my WC works out OK so i can do some decent runs on it

1.6 official soon?
I have a 3200 winchester and I have issues running 1T as well.. The system powers off during the Windows XP loading screen. I used to be able to run 1T using A64Tweaker after windows booted, but now I can't even do that. My system reboots when I try and disable 2T using A64Tweaker. It used to work fine.. It's weird because it worked fine during the Windows XP install.
I'm using 2 x 512MB PQI 3200 TCCD (2-2-2-5 rated). The SPD even specifies 1T, so when I set the DRAM options to "AUTO" or "By SPD" in the BIOS my system powers down during the XP loading screen. I have to force 2T to boot into XP. Maybe 1 in 10 boots will allow it to boot up into XP at 1T, and it's fine after that. Until I reboot that is..
I don't know what's changed to make it that I can't use 1T at all now. I just powered it on one day and loaded A64Tweaker, set 2T to disabled and it rebooted when I hit set.. I've used this process doezens of times before and it's been fine, but not anymore.. Does that every time now..
Seems like something is slowly dying...
Oh, and I should mention that this CPU and RAM have been running 1T with no problems in my MSI K8N Neo2 for almost 6 months prior to getting this Fatal1ty AN8 SLI..
