MUSHKIN REDLINE XP4000 sneak peek...

I have tried altering the idle cycle limit from 16 to 256, the LTD/FSB to 3x instead of 4x, the 0.03v enabled instead of disabled, drive strengths of 7 and 1 and 8 instead of auto all at 250Mhz with various voltages from 3.3v to 3.5v. Timings have been adjusted with TRAS 6. The system refused to get to the "updating bios" part of the bootup and sometimes refused to restart with constant beeping noises. Out of curiosity I tried 245Mhz which reached memtest which then gave tens of thousands of errors on test 5. I then put it back on 240Mhz and I was fine again.

have you tried reflashing your bios?

reflashed to 618-2 which caused a runtime error and the detection of a new unknown device which I promptly erased from the device manager. The only advantage of this new version is there is a new BIOS setting where I can select fast, fastest and something else.
I have tried Jiff's timings, timings seen from various postings, the timings used in the official review and its the same.

wow those are some gosu sticks of ram. i had a good experience with the old lvl2 bh5's, perhaps when i go dothan ill pick up a set of these.

I have a pair of these Mushkin's. I have been reading that BF2 really enjoys 2gb of ram instead of 1gb but the double edge sword of OCing with 2x1gb or 4x512mb is not as good as 2x512mb. All of this info I have gotten from this forum and a few others such as anandtech and hardocp. What it looks like is that I am damned if I do and damned if I dont. So should I stick with what I got, buy 2 more 512mb sticks and run 4x512mb, or get rid of this awesome mushkin memory or use in another system and buy a pair of 2x1gb?

How in hell did you get them to 275? I'm pumping 3.7 though mine on a NF3 Ultra-D and they won't go over 260HTT x11/x3, and don't work with any of the the dividers except 100, help me dude. F*** this, i'm getting a NF4...

yeah, you really need nf4 to make the big numbers!

Do you have notice any trouble running async mode with the redline ???

I did, on my Nf3 ultra-d, it wouldn't run on any divider.. past 260HTT any timing, any voltage, any multipler. Wat NF4 board should i get DFI NF4 SLI-DR? I don't wanna do the sli mod for the nf4 ultra-d.

i just got the redline 4000 and they are doing 265 with 3.3v on a neo2 plat with booster they run better than my 3200vx which could only do 250. no burn in or anything pretty good memory

well im guessing that my board is the limit on these cause i think the booster does not give more than 3.4 v i dont have a multi but thats what im thinking anyway 265 with 3.3v is not bad just cant go higher on the neo 2plat.

Mine are great! Running 270 2-2-2-5 3.5v with fairly loose other timings. No errors in tests 5/8 in memstest and stable in windows D2OLing. Will be doing benchies for Grandprix so i've been holding out =)

I hoped that I could reach 270 with these XP4000 sticks but not yet... maybe later 267@3.6v

Can someone please type down some good memsettings för my redline? Need to know everything. Today i reach around 260mhz in 1,5-2-2-5 with 3,6V.

these stix are great but like i said with neo 2 around 3.5v is the limit cause the mem wont clock higher as of now im running them 10x265(newcastle) neo2 plat at 2-2-2-5
with a moded bios that fixes some ram settings when i first got these chips they were able to do cas 1.5 now my pc just locks up when i try to set it very weird i wanna upgrade to a nf4 but the dfi is very buggy what about the abit with the 3.55v option

are they 500pass memtest #5 stable on 265mhz 3.3v?

the have passed 150 times of test #5 with no problem

you do have good sticks there bro :clap:

now the weird thing that is happening is if i shut the pc of completly when i turn it on i have to take out one stick boot a cas 2.5 then turn it off but no from the power supply only from the power button and then i set it to cas 2 and it all works fine again until i shut it of again . problem already with them and with the vx i never had a problem running them at 3.3v up to 255mhz maybe time for a rma and i didnt even have them for more than a week and i have 2 fans on them

BF2 from what i understand needed a patch which was suppose to fix high memory usage, the patch came out and from what i hear it's been a disaster as far as memory leakage is concerned. This is told to me from a friend who has the game and has been reading on these issues.
