use the 4.12 drivers. they give the best performance. then all the above mentioned items. also make sure bench is run in real time.

I got round to replacing the cooler on my X800XL today: :D

Running, 20°C cooler, with a 20Mhz better overclock on the core (no volt mods).

I was going to just get a Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer, but all the shops are shut for XMas and I had a spare AMD64 stock heatsink lying around so......... :p:

I get 455 on the core and 570 on the memory now according to ATI tool.
